    4 types of consumer purchasing behavior
    Complex buying behavior
    This is where customers are analyzing carefully their decision on buying a product. For this behavior, cost is not a major issue, but the understanding the different use, features and benefit of the products are more of their major concern.
    For example.
    You want to buy a new house and you really find time to go to different subdivision to find the best house for you. You consider the proximity of the house on major establishment that you think are important. These includes school, mall, supermarket, hospital etc.
    Dissonance-reducing buying behavior
    This behavior is where a customer is having a hard time to decide on a product and focused on factors such cost, convenience and features
    For example:
    You want to buy a new shoes, but you have a limited budget. You're not sure what shoes is fit for you. That's why you keep on asking the sales lady on the different options that are available.
    Habitual buying behavior
    This is where customers are repeatedly buying a specific brand or product. This is the most favorable behavior on the perspectve of the business.
    Variety-seeking behavior
    This is where customers are always finding new brand or product to use or buy. This is the opposite of the habitual buying behavior.
    Over-all consumer purchasing behavior can be used by Managers to sell their products or service effectively.
