Hey, everyone. Sorry i didn't respond to any of the comments. I'll provide the answers to the most asked questions.
1) The coupon code is completely customary. I designed it myself all by using Microsoft Paint and Microsoft Excel. The top portion says something along the lines of "Thank you for choosing Postmates. Us drivers depend on our ratings. It would mean a lot if you could provide feedback about the job after it is complete. We really appreciate it." The bottom of it is the refer a friend section. It explains to the customer how to refer a friend. You should be able to explain that on your own. Remember to explain to the customer that it has to be a new account. The very bottom of the coupon is my referral code. This is what the new customer will enter in.
2) I love seeing comments about how much I said the word "Fuck." I made a twenty-minute video on how to make the most money doing the least amount of work, and some of you morons are more concerned with the language I used.

I like it honestly, sometimes I make shitty money but sometimes I make good. I work in Miami and one of the orders took me to this part of the city I've never been to (Key Biscayne) and after the order I just couldn't help but park and walk towards the beach and admire the wonderful view. After that moment I thought, not many jobs allow you to do this. I work full time as security at this fancy condo and is good pay with all the benefits but sometimes it sucks just being glued to a place for 8 hours.

What do you think about apps like Everlance, SherpaShare or Hurdlr? It's been suggested to me that I use one of those to track my income, mileage, etc and they give you an estimate of taxes owed plus a quarterly summary based on your state.

Helpful tip. Although I don't do postmates in regards to driving with a 1099 - you will either write off miles OR maintenance. I believe - and you should look into it - if you choose to write off maintenance for your first year of a vehicle you are locked into that calculation for the life of the car. If you choose mileage you are able to jump back and fourth. This is what I have been told, I write off mileage for my job. Also, mileage tax credit changes from year to year. Last year it was 58.5 I think, this year I believe it will be 54.

They can't wait to just grab the food and be done with it. That's the reality of it.. they barely open the door. They just . Look at you and grab the food. Truth is. So do I when I order food. Good video, just wanted to clarify vehicle expenses for tax purposes, you can take a deduction for mileage expense which will be 54 cents per mile for tax year 2016 down from 57.5 cents from tax year 2015 OR actual expenses which would be gas, oil, tires etc. which would be prorated depending if you use the car for personal use also, either case you can deduct tolls and parking as an expense also. Most people will find it easier to keep track of their miles and use that deduction, keep good records on mileage if IRS questions it they will want to see those records.

You can only deduct gas if you do NOT do the mileage deduction. In 2016 its $0.54/mile. Stride Drive (iOS), Mile IQ, and Sherpashare are all apps that keep track of mileage for you.
Good gracious I really wish the video would have been more family-friendly, if you will, but I do appreciate the tips you gave. I even took notes on them. I haven't signed up yet, I wanted to look into it before I decided if it was something I could do especially since I would have to walk. But I guess I wouldn't have to worry about parking issues. I could just go downtown, pick a coffee shop to sit and chill, and wait for orders to come in. I'd probably start with the little Peet's Coffee or McDonald's orders anyway, just to have something easy to start with that doesn't scare me away.
That first thing "communication" does go a long way. I use it for when I drive for Uber as well. I have it saved as a template. One text saved for regular pickups like saying I have arrived since who knows if they know I'm there since the GPS can be laggy OR that they could be waiting around the corner and we'd both we waiting and not know lol.... AND another for the airport pickups letting them know I'm on my way and which ride share area of the airport I'll be at. :)
So what I got from this is that the fuckin customers love it when you fuckin text them to let them know you are on the fuckin way with their fuckin food.......... Oh and by the way.... don't forget to give them their fuckin coupons.

Been doing Postmates for a while now its awesome money I love it and your recommendations. Your right it's best to communicate, communication is key. Don't be all creepy cause your going to ppls homes. Lastly at the end of the delivery. I send them a text thanking them and asking them not to forget to rate you. That's a definite tip...every time.

A lot of truth here. I just started Postmates today after a referral from someone at a dog park the other day and I love it so far. I think that some people that claim they don't make any money is because they may be skipping more deliveries than accepting.
