Russia isn't communist anymore. And China isn't exactly either. But I can understand other reasons for not wanting to visit either one. Russia, for example, is currently under martial law and any Westerner could be arrested without due process while there. China, possibly same thing, but also tracked like crazy and also have a difficult time getting out.
