I loved your reaction to this song. I must have been about 9 yrs. old when I first heard it and I would always turn up the volume when it came on the radio. Its such a joy to listen to. Puts a smile on your face. A true classic.
Supertramp were a great English rock band formed in 1969. You've done a few of their songs already. They had so many great songs in the 70's-80's such as "Breakfast In America", "Dreamer", "Take The Long Way Home", "It's Raining Again", "My Kind Of Lady", "Cannonball", "I'm Beggin' You", "You Win, I Lose", "School", "Rudy", "Crime Of The Century" etc.
AND YEAHHHH STAN, THIS IS THEIR GREAT PROGGY ROCK MUSIC AND THIS IS FROM THEIR 77 ALBUM ( EVEN IN THE QUIETEST MOMENTS ) AND YESSSS THIS SONG PLAYED BIGTIME ON THE RADIO. 😊 MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN THEIR ( BREAKFAST IN AMERICA ) STUFF 😊 CRIME OF THE CENTURY IS ONE OF THE TOP CONCEPT / STORY ALBUMS AND THAT'S FROM 74 😊 START WITH THE 1ST 2 SONGS FROM CRIME STAN : SCHOOL, BLOODY WELL RIGHT ENJOYYYYY THIS GREAT BAND
A bit of movie trivia: Supertramp is so Super they had a song byte in the original Superman: The Movie; "Give a Little Bit" plays during the scene where Lois Lane is driving out in the California desert during the nuclear missile detonation, as she's pulling into the fueling station. Ten seconds of Supertramp's 1977 song, "Give a Little Bit" from the album Even in the Quietest Moments, were heard on Lois Lane's car radio just prior to the climactic earthquake scene. The song was a then-recent hit. Its appearance in the film seems to be for no obvious thematic reason, though there could be a subtle message or two: The group having "Super" in its name; and the words heard on-screen, "Give a little bit... [I'll] give a little bit of my life for you". -- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman_music#Superman

That's cool you've heard it before.
Yes, The Who and Supertramp are all great bands and they in my top 20 also. But #1 for fire is: Genesis. p.s. All British bands.
