Technically, in Australia, the driver's side is the passenger side in North America. In a recent episode of 4WD 24-7, they bought a Suzuki "Zook" and one of the women in the convoy Liv had replaced the plastic grab handle with a braided rope grab handle. The Tacoma looks and feels inexpensive and the drivetrain noise is considerably louder. The Ford 2.3 4-cylinder with 10 spd is a proven drivetrain while the Toyota is not. The Ford drivetrain is currently in the larger Ford Explorer and performs well. Under load we will see how the Tacoma fares. So sad, Jeep is nice but priced 10k too high! You can get a Ranger Raptor fully loaded for 59k but a Mojave X fully loaded 70k, that is insane price for a Jeep gladiator Mojave or rubicon! Even getting a base Mojave or rubicon with no options is several thousand over a ranger raptor!

On paper. In real life that $59k Raptor is more like $63k (at least) after heavy bargaining effort and the $70k Gladiator is at most $63k with no effort 10% discount. Same actual real world price. It really comes down to preference.

@@is6566 honestly, the only impartial comparison is 2024 Msrp, any other comparison is ripping off consumers by either initial release dealer greed or in the case of gladiator manufacturer greed. It should not be the consumer who has to deal on listed msrp price! Just over two years ago I priced a fully loaded gladiator at 59k. My same configuration now is 72k. That is absolutely insane for most Americans except those who want to be in debt up to your eyeballs or are in the top 10%. Jeep’s target is the middle class…I agree Jeep is better built for rocks, I agree Jeep Mojave and esp. rubicon might be worth a few thousand more than raptor or Colorado but Jeep is crazy overpriced at msrp or 72k…Engine underpowered, cab comfort (noise), payload sucks, no front locker Mojave, seat and tech add on not standard, towing capability (engine), yet even with the flaws, all things equal Jeep fully loaded Mojave should be within 2-3k of raptor and the fully loaded rubicon is acceptable at 3-5k over raptor. Using a basis of 59k price strategy! I owned a ford f150 raptor at 58k now it is 79k plus truck pricing has gone insane! Jeep has forgotten or left behind its customer base, there is a reason they are sitting on the lot unsold!

Try to do a decent ranked off road trail, beyond a dirt road, in any of the “small trucks” you mentioned. I had though the other day that if anything happen to my Jeep I would probably go and buy a used new to me Jeep for my next truck. I like the looks of the Gladiator being all color matched or at least the roof. Now you have to get that X package on the Wranglers and Gladiators to have the color match roof and fenders is crazy. Jeep is treating the brand as if it was a high end luxury brand. I understand everybody wants to have creature comforts. I just want a nice reliable fun vehicle that don’t cost much.
