Mitch’s cadence, the energetic start and then the “fall off” on the punchline is so addictive. I could listen to him for hours and be just as engaged at the end as at the beginning. I wish he could have overcome his demons, he left us way too soon. RIP Mitch.
Dang, he was up and coming for all 16 years of his career? Tu Pac had a shorter career than Mitch, but no one refers to him as up and coming 6 years in the game. I figure at some point Mitch has to just be iconic.
He had this joke about big foot. It went something like. . . “it turns out, Bigfoot IS blurry; it’s not the photographer’s fault.” I love his take on things
@@Robertianocockrell when you see workers on strike, they hold up picket signs. So when they march around holding up those signs... It's called picketing. So if you're against picketing... Well, I'm sure you get it now.

hi Mitch - i really love you. you are so unique and so hilarious. i love your delivery. i read that you really had bad stage fright which is why you had the long hair and the tinted glasses, but that you also closed your eyes - and you did. there are people here on Earth who are very sensitive and talented. you had to push yourself on stage. i’m so glad you managed to. hope your sets and your audiences are terrific wherever you are. much respect and love. miss you. . . 🌷🌱
i just found out about Mitch within the last year. What a tragedy! He was so great. He quickly has risen to one of my all time favorites! RIP brother.... and much love!
"...I wish I invented Cinnamon bun incense so then my roommates would wake up w false hopes." on his website if I remember he did actually have that incense for sale. One of my all time favorite comedians
You can really tell in this clip. Apparently it was from severe social anxiety disorder. It's nice to see that he would still open them to take in the entire reaction of the crowd after a joke.
Me too! No autographs or meeting them too. It was in St. Louis at a venue called The Pageant. Great night! You must've seen them on the same tour as me. Lucky you to get autographs and to meet them.
I saw that show when they came through town, too. Mitch was so drunk/high, he fell down and some how got on the other side of the stage curtain where he proceeded to do the rest of his show. The last 15 minutes or so, the crowd couldn’t see him and yet he had our undivided attention. His set was genius and hindsight, tragic.
"I used to do drugs. I still do but I used to too." "My buddy showed me a picture of him when he was younger. Every picture is of you when you were younger. "
Was he blind? He has that 'groove' to him. Edit: Nope. According to Wiki, he had terrible stage fright. He wore the sunglasses and used the head-down posture to overcome it during sets.
Yup, also the heroin... which killed him in the end, but the light probably made him dizzy and nauseous; hence the glasses and constant closing eyes (My brother is an addict, it's pretty a pretty universal trait). He's brilliant nonetheless, like so many other entertainers with this "malady". And Mitch is missed by those that loved him, including myself.
@@Cerevisi Actually heroin and coke...I assume a speedball...Like Belushi, Farley and many others. He had horrible stage fright, hence the long hair, sunglasses, eyes closed, etc. Very insecure, extremely talented. RIP.
I wonder if Mitch took that escalator straight up to heaven. I would ask him does it ever get lonely and he would answer “ Yeah sometimes , like when I throw a frisbee “. My favorite is the Dufranes joke!

Last week's episode with Tracy Morgan: th-cam.com/video/tQpIF2sxYH0/w-d-xo.html
Drunk lmao outstanding!!!!¡!!!!!!!¡!!!!!!!
He was one of a kind. R.I.P
Yep
He died doing what he loved.
Heroin.
Sitting up there next to PCH and regretting not being buried with a rig or two.
He was terribly insecure. It's also why he had the long hair, and his face cast downward. Truth!
Ooops! Also why he kept his eyes shut. He had horrible stage fright.
Michael Farar Sad! just discovering him and he’s gone🙁 😎 I wondered if he was blind with the closed eyes, glasses & no eye contact
If I could resurrect 3 people, it would be Mitch, and 2 other people.
chris farley and robin williams
@@1984TMNT and Greg Giraldo . ( I don't know how to count)

Don't leave us in suspense geefreck.......who are the other 2???
Hopefully Bill Hicks is one of them.

Mitch was an up and coming Iconic comedian... " I don't have a girlfriend... I just have a friend who would get really mad if she heard me say that."

@@fartkerson nope, Tu Pac is down and out
2 minutes in and I've laughed more than most netflix stand ups. Amazing. RIP mitch, truly one of a kind.
yes
He had this joke about big foot. It went something like. . . “it turns out, Bigfoot IS blurry; it’s not the photographer’s fault.”
I love his take on things
I thought that was Steven Wright’s bit.
It's an even scarier monster because it's pixelated.
Which is more terrifying, because there's a large out-of-focus monster out there roaming the countryside
Such an original comic with unique and amazing delivery. R.I.P Mitch
One of my all time favorites: I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it! What a genius he was.
Explain this to me, what is picketing?

Genius! What a master of delivery and timing! Mitch had no equal and still doesn't.
Steven Wright. Another Minnesotan I believe.

I got a king size bed
I dont know any kings but if one came over

He is so memorable, he was in a scene in "That 70's Show" YEARS ago and I instantly knew who he was
Thats the best episodes

I've got a big wedding coming in
AK907LSD25 did i say wedding? I meant to say buy something or GET OUT.
Clicked like before watching cause ... it’s Hedberg! It’ll be awesome no matter what.
Me too!
A one of a kind genius!. Mitch had his own unique brand of comedy that worked . Left us far too soon! RIP
I can NEVER get tired of listening to Mitch Hedberg. I had never heard these jokes before - they are hilarious! No surprise there.
When he smiled after the Bob joke, got a big snort laugh out of me 😂
Mitch had severe social anxiety. I know because I used to have it too. I still do, but I used to too.
=( I miss him so much.
That almost made my weak ass breakdown while having lunch lmaaaooo
@ÖC the statement refers to one of his jokes, " I used to do drugs, I still do,.. but I used to too" lmfao
Ya got me! lol
Nice! 😂
He also had a heroin addiction
I'm such a new fan of his! 🤣😂 So heartbroken he passed...

Thanks for speaking to him directly. That is an inspiration to me and hopefully to him as well
We used to laugh with Mitch Hedberg. We still do, but we used to, too.
"When I was a boy I laid in my twin-sized bed, and wondered where my brother was." lmao RIP Mitch. A genius comic gone too soon.
I had the pleasure of seeing Mitch at The Warfield in San Francisco years ago. I miss him!
Easily his best set and best audience EVER. RIP Mitch
LOL hilarious as always. Hedberg had one of the most off the wall and unique styles of comedy.
I was 14 when this came out, and to this day I can still remember the entire set.

Just my favorite of all time! R.I.P Mitch you are so much missed!
The most unique comedian I've ever seen. He was so afraid of crowds yet he always overcame it.....I mean, the drugs helped, but he still found a way!
He absolutely killed it here!
A life on the road . Beat yourself till you make it then pass away from the road. RIP Mitch Hedberg. A totally genius
Remarkable set, like a shooting star streaking across the night sky then gone.
Better than most drawn out comedians. Gets to the point quick! Amazing talent.
His delivery was impeccable. RIP
Mitch's comedy lives on years and years after his demise. Thanks TH-cam.
He’s right about purple people. Look at Thanos!
When i have to give presentations I’ll open with “I used to get stage fright...I still do, but I used to too”
One of the wittiest comedians!
I just noticed Mitch shuts his eyes while he tells a joke, then opens them at the end of the joke to see the reaction. I get that!

Hahahaha , love you Mitch. Thanks India Castle. You rest with Mitch and left us all behind. Rest well you will not be forgotten.

Very OG performance from Mitch. Glad it have happened.

People either loved Mitch or they hated him. Or they thought he was ok.
At last, a set I haven’t seen before. Thanks!
I loved his quirky sense of logic made in2 jokes. RIP.
"To hell with purple people!... unless they are suffocating".
This guy would've been the best Twitter user ever.
Then HELP them!
I'm not normally into the low and slow surreal stuff like Steven Wright and the like, but I absolutely LOVE Mitch. He was a LEGEND.
He was so funny. A very talented comedian. And a loss to the world of comedy and those of us that know how important a good laugh is.
No comedian looks as happy as Mitch while killin it on stage
He is the best. RIP Mitch
just started watching this guy last night and wow 👌 his one of the best comedians that ever lived. it's a big loss he's not with us anymore 😔
I’m a mega fan of his but I’d never seen this set, thanks for posting
I would certainly resurrect Mitch. Best comedian I ever heard!!!!
