Totally agree: the day this goes wireless is the day I'll be truly tempted to box up my G502. Until then or until my G502 gives out I'm in no rush to pick up a Model I. I'm happy it exists tho.
Plus the wired G502 is cheaper than the Model I, and I doubt the weight of mice like this will be the reason to choose one mouse over the other as it would be with more competitive designs (traditional ambi/ergo mice designed for optimal aim instead of focusing more on the feature-set).
I don't understand why they don't just release the wired and wireless versions at the same time. Hopefully it doesn't take them a year or more to do it for this mouse like it did with their others.
I'd imagine it's probably to get people to double dip, think GTA V releasing on 3 different generation of consoles. If it takes them a while to come out with the wireless version, people might buy the wired version initially and then buy the wireless one when it launches.
For real. I understand this is the "glorious" way, i.e. releasing wired followed by wireless months to a year later. That being said it is 2022, they really should have come out with the wireless at the same time as wired. I would have bought this mouse today if it was wireless. Instead ill just stick with my current mouse until they release a wireless, or someone else releases a wireless in this shape.

I prefer wireless and in 2022 there are so many mice that come out wireless, that’s it’s worth it, for me, to pass on this mouse and buy another one. Just feels like they missed an opportunity by not releasing both at the same time considering how many wireless options there are.

And as it is, I'm sure there are people who would prefer a somewhat ergo wireless mouse like this to be in the middle of really light of say the Superlight and the heaviness of the g502.
Interesting to see they made it so light. I know lots of people go with the G502 because of the shape, but reading online, it seems lots of people also go for the G502 because of it's "heavy" weight.
As a moba player I've been waiting for a light mouse with more than 2 programmable buttons for years. This one looks pretty good, I'll wait for the wireless version tho. Steelseries Aerox 5 wireless also looks promising tho.

G-skates are the exact same thing that it comes with aren’t they? They are just for replacement. You may be thinking about the ceramic G floats but they do not have those available. They’ve stated they will consider it depending on demand

I'm personally waiting for the wireless version. I loved the G502, I own the wired and wireless but I don't use them because of the weight. It's the perfect mouse but way too heavy and that's what the Model I looks to be.
So I play on ps5 with keyboard and mouse so if I bind the extra buttons would it just be side button 3 or would I have to connect it to my laptop first to bind them to other keys that I don’t already use?
I really love the G502, but I wish there was a white version so it would go with the colors I'm trying to go with. But now that I've seen this mouse, I may buy this one instead.
Once the I Wireless goes live, Razer and Logitech will now have a reason to release their versions with lighter weight. I can compromise and play at around 75g, if it means they're gonna beat Glorious's mediocre battery life, and throw in some other features like wireless charging. Since these are cheap, these can be a good buy until Razer and Logitech catch up, or if they're even thinking of releasing a lighter version since the weight one of the things that make the G502 and Basilisk special.
Not sure about it but I wouldn't be surprised it this was proprietary to Logitech, haven't seen any other brand do this at this point (and it's sad 'cause it's so sick). Edit: ok I'm wrong, there totally are other mice that do this lmao
I feel if they're target competition was the 502 they should have considered some of the functionality that makes it so appealing when designing the Model I. For me the 502 was great for MOBAs and MMOs, with the extra two buttons on the left click adding a ton of functionality and the infinite scroll wheel making it great from a productivity standpoint. Don't see much reason to jump ship from my Viper Ultimate yet though. The Model I isn't a bad mouse at all, just kinda meh.
the g502 for me is still going to be the go to choice, the hyperglide is a feature i cannot let go of and the weight although thought to be a bad thing i just personally enjoy and find having that weight helps me do flicks and really dial in my movements better. i find that with these light mice they all feel really really cheap but the g502 just feels like an absolute unit so yeah there's my two cents or like 5 cents lol
They really missed out on the scroll wheel It is so important. Having free flowing wheel is so helpful when reading comics or manga or browsing Twitter. Razer's adjustable on the basilisk v2 is my favorite you can dial it in so it's practically free flowing but doesn't move on its own. The g502 free flowing always bounces up a little when I scroll. They stopped using the adjustable ones on the basilisk v3 because even on my mice having it on the more tactile pressure it will cause it to skip scrolls

The tilt wheel and the 3 buttons on the side make the g502 the best. If either Logitech goes lighter or glorious makes theirs wireless and adds tilt scroll that would be the best.

I LOVE the Model I! I previously thought I needed a heavier mouse to be more accurate, so I too had a Logitech G502 loaded with all the extra weights possible. But after a while I got fatigued. I switched to the Roccat Burst Pro, which weighs just one ounce less than the Model I. It was good, but I wanted more buttons with similar weight, so I decided to get the Model I. Best choice I've made! Lightweight, easy to click all the buttons, very glidey, and the difference in form factor I've learned actually helps me with accuracy as I can rest my thumb in the crevice rather than on the mouse pad. Only thing I don't like is the mouse wheel scrolling. It feels too mushy and not clickly like the Logitech and Roccat mice.
I love the g502 and upgraded to the g305 and the difference is huge. The g502 was clumsy and comfy feel plus the extra control, and the g305 is fast and small. Overall I think that this mouse is right in between that, being that 69 grams rounded shape, paracord, list goes on.
Man if this came out two years ago I would've gone crazy as I was a huge g502 user but since then I've been using the super light and the starlight and I don't think I could switch back to the ergo shape with many buttons again

If they make a wireless version I might finally retire my g604. Replaced a 502 with it because I wanted 4 side buttons and I kept accidentally clicking the two buttons next to left click. I also prefer a heavier mouse to a lighter one, even for fps.
Funny story, I used a model o (and switched to a model o wireless) since release to now, then due to issues with the model o wireless I switched back to my G502. I love the shape but at like 160g it's a bit too heavy for me, so perfect timing ig. Although I am really hesitant to buy another glorious product. Their QC is terrible, although their customer service in the states is good, and as stated before my model o wireless has issues registering clicks after 1 year... it also has very loud creaking and the materials used for the model o glosses over with my hand oils after like a month, which is not desirable. But the only reason I like glorious now is that they promote competition in niche markets.
I have had a basilisk for 5 years I got for a gaming laptop and I love it Now I barely built a real, full on gaming computer and I'm still using the basilisk But I have been looking into upgrading my mouse, and this might be good for me I want to try a lightweight mouse, I'm used to wired, I love the extra buttons on the side of the basilisk and this has them too. think this may work for me
I might get one when they drop the wireless version as my secondary, but that g502 will always be my main unless the exact same functionality and shape comes out in a lighter mouse.
I've had my G502 for 4 or 5 years now and still standing strong, but this is something i'be been waiting for. Only 2 downsides: no hyperscroll and its not from Logitech. But for the rest, amazing mouse
I've tested a lot of mice through my years as a gamer... This Glorious Model I, is hands down, the best gaming mouse i've ever had the pleasure of using. It has all the essentials, the reliable sht... yes a hyper scroll might be fun, like a fidget-spinner attached to your mouse... But is it necessary for gaming? Nope. Overly complex scrollwheels have a higher chance of breaking, or even coming out the factory defective.... And that's what i mean by "reliable essentials" for the Glorious Model I, it comes with a basic, reliable, scrollwheel... basic reliable switches, basic reliable sensor (which isn't really rare nowadays), AND it's got ventilation holes to prevent sweat buildup in your palm, ergonomic shape so it's comfortable to handle, and it's light AF (69 grams, noice) which makes aiming competitively a cinch. Oh and the software is basic and reliable too, no funny business, no bugs, and it doesn't corrupt itself over time, get slower and slower and eventually just freezes while the infinite startup process drains resources and interferes with the function of your razer products, like Razer Synapse does. :D Fck Razer, fck Corsair, the only companies with good hardware AND good software are Glorious, and Logitech... Ignore everything else, lmao.
Ive used my G502 for 4 years straight before it being dethroned by my Viper Mini. But I still have so much love and respect for my G502 until now. And yeah.. the best scroll wheel ever.
I've tried many ergo mice but the G502 wireless still takes the cake for me. Those two button left of left click (G7, G8) are too convenient for the games I play. I'm no pro player so there's no game it doesn't perform amazingly in.
That's the mouse I've been eyeing up for my laptops. I use a Deathadder on my desktop, and I'm perfectly fine with that. I miss having a naga though, for those extra buttons. I mean I still have my naga molten, but the left click double clicks every time.
even if the superlight wireless g502 comes out, i honestly wouldnt change from my wired g502 hero, no need to charge, and its got that nice heavy weight that makes it way more precise
Ive been a huge fan of glorious mouses. I have the Model o wireless, o- regular, and o- wireless. The issue i have with their wireless mouse, is that they seem to die after ~less than 48 hours not being charged. If it had a charging doc where i can quickly rest the mouse on id like it more. I hope they make an I- version. thats a 100% buy for me.
The shape reminds me of the original Razer Basilisk, which was my favorite mouse before switching to ultralight and wireless. Honestly, and ultralight wireless version of that mouse, with the rubber side grip still, would be 👌 When they release it in wireless, I'll check it out, and maybe slap some grip tape on it.
I've had the g502 for like 2 years now, it was my first proper gaming mouse ( as in not a cheap amazon off-brand one ) and I love it but have always hated the weight as a Valorant/CS player. I was thinking about swapping to the model D as it is similar to the Corsair harpoon mouse that my brother has which I thought was really comfortable and way lighter. Should I go for the model I or model D now, I am honestly conflicted, I love the amount of buttons on the G502 but I love the shape of the harpoon as it is more rounded. You did mention the model I is more rounded the the G502 so I would love someone's opinion on what is better. Thanks :D
G7 and G8 button is too important for me. Has been used for years for volume up down. Sniper button changed to audio output swapping (speaker and headphone). And the another two reserved for gaming extra buttons.

The hyperscoll is a gamechanger. I will never change from the G502 unless someone replicates that feature.
well basilisk v3 has it, but it is not light. and hyperscroll construction is pretty heavy afaik

If they make a wireless version I might finally retire my g604. Replaced a 502 with it because I wanted 4 side buttons and I kept accidentally clicking the two buttons next to left click.
I also prefer a heavier mouse to a lighter one, even for fps.

Funny story, I used a model o (and switched to a model o wireless) since release to now, then due to issues with the model o wireless I switched back to my G502. I love the shape but at like 160g it's a bit too heavy for me, so perfect timing ig. Although I am really hesitant to buy another glorious product. Their QC is terrible, although their customer service in the states is good, and as stated before my model o wireless has issues registering clicks after 1 year... it also has very loud creaking and the materials used for the model o glosses over with my hand oils after like a month, which is not desirable. But the only reason I like glorious now is that they promote competition in niche markets.

But I have been looking into upgrading my mouse, and this might be good for me
I want to try a lightweight mouse, I'm used to wired, I love the extra buttons on the side of the basilisk and this has them too. think this may work for me
Hopefully your thumb isn't too wide, you'll constantly hit those front 2 side buttons. Unless you back it up or loosen it.
I might get one when they drop the wireless version as my secondary, but that g502 will always be my main unless the exact same functionality and shape comes out in a lighter mouse.

I've had my G502 for 4 or 5 years now and still standing strong, but this is something i'be been waiting for. Only 2 downsides: no hyperscroll and its not from Logitech. But for the rest, amazing mouse

I've tested a lot of mice through my years as a gamer... This Glorious Model I, is hands down, the best gaming mouse i've ever had the pleasure of using.
It has all the essentials, the reliable sht... yes a hyper scroll might be fun, like a fidget-spinner attached to your mouse... But is it necessary for gaming? Nope.
Overly complex scrollwheels have a higher chance of breaking, or even coming out the factory defective.... And that's what i mean by "reliable essentials" for the Glorious Model I, it comes with a basic, reliable, scrollwheel... basic reliable switches, basic reliable sensor (which isn't really rare nowadays), AND it's got ventilation holes to prevent sweat buildup in your palm, ergonomic shape so it's comfortable to handle, and it's light AF (69 grams, noice) which makes aiming competitively a cinch.
Oh and the software is basic and reliable too, no funny business, no bugs, and it doesn't corrupt itself over time, get slower and slower and eventually just freezes while the infinite startup process drains resources and interferes with the function of your razer products, like Razer Synapse does. :D
Fck Razer, fck Corsair, the only companies with good hardware AND good software are Glorious, and Logitech... Ignore everything else, lmao.
Ive used my G502 for 4 years straight before it being dethroned by my Viper Mini. But I still have so much love and respect for my G502 until now. And yeah.. the best scroll wheel ever.
The problem with this mouse and the Basilisk is that it lacks the sharp look of the G502 and just ends up looking incredibly cheap
I hope the wireless version doesn't came late or i ll be forcing myself the rumored g703 superlight.

the top buttons are not permanant, they are just very hard to remove. you can remove them at the top
I've tried many ergo mice but the G502 wireless still takes the cake for me. Those two button left of left click (G7, G8) are too convenient for the games I play. I'm no pro player so there's no game it doesn't perform amazingly in.
That's the mouse I've been eyeing up for my laptops. I use a Deathadder on my desktop, and I'm perfectly fine with that. I miss having a naga though, for those extra buttons. I mean I still have my naga molten, but the left click double clicks every time.
Instant buy as soon as the Model I wireless is out.

even if the superlight wireless g502 comes out, i honestly wouldnt change from my wired g502 hero, no need to charge, and its got that nice heavy weight that makes it way more precise

Ive been a huge fan of glorious mouses. I have the Model o wireless, o- regular, and o- wireless.
The issue i have with their wireless mouse, is that they seem to die after ~less than 48 hours not being charged. If it had a charging doc where i can quickly rest the mouse on id like it more.
I hope they make an I- version. thats a 100% buy for me.

The shape reminds me of the original Razer Basilisk, which was my favorite mouse before switching to ultralight and wireless. Honestly, and ultralight wireless version of that mouse, with the rubber side grip still, would be 👌
When they release it in wireless, I'll check it out, and maybe slap some grip tape on it.

I've had the g502 for like 2 years now, it was my first proper gaming mouse ( as in not a cheap amazon off-brand one ) and I love it but have always hated the weight as a Valorant/CS player. I was thinking about swapping to the model D as it is similar to the Corsair harpoon mouse that my brother has which I thought was really comfortable and way lighter. Should I go for the model I or model D now, I am honestly conflicted, I love the amount of buttons on the G502 but I love the shape of the harpoon as it is more rounded. You did mention the model I is more rounded the the G502 so I would love someone's opinion on what is better. Thanks :D

G7 and G8 button is too important for me. Has been used for years for volume up down. Sniper button changed to audio output swapping (speaker and headphone). And the another two reserved for gaming extra buttons.
