Yeah, another great video. I find the V misses more focus than I appreciate. I find myself reaching for the Ricoh way more than the V.

Oh, I think an out of focus photo can still have a lot of character, so don't worry about this one. It's awesome. I like your idea of recreating those pictures from last year. And the night shots also have a lot of character. Aaaaand, it's great to see a kitty in the background again! 😊

Love the images. There’s something special about DTLA, there’s so much life and depth here. Also great coffee, when I’m there my go to spot is Verve or Thank You Coffee if I’m Chinatown.

just use the joystick/nipple thing to quickly go left or right on ur focus point, or set the touch screen to the point you wanna focus at and shoot
alternatively, use a multi zone AF (i'd go 9 points max) and then when you move around the focus point it'd cover more ground than just having one AF point. as well as ur shutter speed. just set to 1/125 or 250 and that would be fine.
finally use your viewfinder. you can process information way faster such that you can take note of certain things slightly easier than shooting it like a digicam (let alone the camera shake that may occur with single-hand operation even if it's the X100V which is considerably light)

you can see in my video that i already use both the stick and touch screen to focus : )

@@yewonperry yeah I noticed that later on 😅 but yeah maybe use a 9 point to be able to get a bigger target box for focusing

I sold my X100V and switched to Nikon Zf, I was just tired of the Fuji look and the crop sensor. Maybe a switch would spark something for you, too. I love shooting with old manual Nikon lenses, it unlocked a completely new energy for photography in me.

What camera do you use to film yourself? Is it the G7X from your gearlist? Video looks good

Los Angeles county has several elements of sound and shadow that make the fortress city remarkable. The roads and hills of echo park and silverlake are ghosts in the imaginations of its inhabitants.

also you'd benefit from a gimble and remote. Your shutter speed will not be able to reciprocate for the necessary ISO in CA shadows. Further north, in the central valley? ok.

4:42 Yewon, maybe you could try taking photos in manual focus. You could even pre-focus on the wall and just wait for the subject to walk by.
Fujifilm has a depth of field scale that can help you make sure the subject will be in focus.
Just make sure you have the scale (AF/MF > DEPTH-OF-FIELD SCALE) set to "FILM FORMAT BASIS"
I really enjoy your videos! Greetings!

why not try back button focus on the V? The AFL/AFC button can be used for focusing during your setup, you just need to change some settings
