This is the only place i eat chirashi don now, really good. For foreigners who are coming over to try it, be sure to go early because they get really long queues... you can make reservations too.

Welcome to Thomson Plaza. There are quite a number of Japanese restaurants there, but Omote is probably the most popular of them lot. The queue is outright insane though.
Hi, it's another entertaining video. Yuri san could actually utter some authentic Singlish, she certainly could do well in Singapore. As for yourself, Ghib Ojisan, you looked nice in spectable 👍👍👍
I feel like you should turn around & go back to that chef. As a Japanese who has been in SG for 40 years, the experiences & wisdom from him would be immeasurable, especially for someone like you, who might consider SG for the long-term

Oh, her "This is the best" sounded so fluent, as though she's a native English speaker. I'd love to be her new Singaporean friend, but I unfortunately don't speak Japanese at all......lol.
A lot of Japanese people study English but are afraid to speak it as they lack practice. I have Japanese relatives in Chiba and they all understand English. But refuse to speak it as they lack conversational English skills. So you can actually try to message her in English I'm sure she will respond.
You'd be surprised she actually speaks fluent eng. She's a doc, medical degrees aren't likely to be taught fully in native. Probably more like she can't understand singlish bc of the accent and broken sentences.
Cant speak for Singapore, but I believe both Malaysia and Singapore are identical. Especially in Malaysia, not everyone could speak English, not everyone could speak Malay, sometimes we ended up just pointing and do a whole bunch of random sign language to communicate.
Do you mean the one which has kampung chicken? There was also a hawker in a kopitiam (same kpt as where aston's used to be), which had above average chicken rice; hope he's doing ok now; let's go see :)
