Wh... Why was this distributed by Pepsi?

Black folks drink a lot of soda and Pepsi wanted their money; this was part of a comprehensive corporate PR campaign by Pepsi pretending they were sincerely concerned about black folks.
Pepsi profits soared spurring lots of others corporations to similarly play pretend. Kool and Teacher's Scotch raked it in, and even the National Guard was able to lure black recruits in the wake of beating and killing black folks during the riots/uprisings!

Back in the 60’s, large corporations like Pepsi hired Black men as sales executives to promote their products in the Black community. They used promotional materials like this album to promote sales. Coca Cola did the same thing with comic books about Black history that were called Golden Legacy. I have most of the issues from my childhood.

Africans started out as indentured servants. What group of people convinced the Christians on why it wasn't a sin to have Africans as slaves? Hint : it wasn't the Native Americans or the European indentured servants.

20 Africans in the 1600’s to 4 million in the 1800s 😂 I dnt believe it. I asked my 90 year old grandpa was his grandpa a slave ( born in the 1800s) he said hell no and this was in South Carolina shit ain’t adding up !

They treated us like cattle. Slavery ended in 1865 in South Carolina. If your grandfather was born in 1929 then that’s a 64 year difference. If his father was 24 when your grandfather was born, his father would have to be over 40 to have any chance to be born into slavery. If he’s lucid, I hope you are interviewing him on your phone or some other HD video camera. If you have the names, you can track your family tree through census records if they were freed men.

🤔 I think you missed what I was saying in the previous comment; And I’m fully aware when my relatives were born. Google Albert Perry from SC 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️ ....

They create shit like this to get everyone to believe the slave narrative. Many of our ancestors arrived here, as political prisoners, with the names we have today.. they didn’t come from no damn slave masters
