It is disgraceful how we abandon those who bring us liberating philosophy, theology. I've bore witness to what the Nation of Islam's brand of Islam at its height has done. I sit back and say nothing to the comments about our situation, but this time I have to say something because I really believe that men and women like The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad deserve respect; for who has a better program than him, that is capable of bringing Willie the Wine'o, Henrietta the Ho or Donald the Drug Addict, to name a few, out of the self-bondage that they were in?? Marcus M. Garvey did it too. But hardly any of the churches or Mosques collectively has done to the mind, body & spirit of the Black Family as has the Nation of Islam singlehandedly especially at its height. They just don't "raise the dead" like the NOI does. So, one of the questions is: why hasn't the educational system adopted his successful and therefore useful tactics?? He gave us a form of Islam that was packaged mainly for African people lost in the wilderness of North America. It might not have worked in Europe, the Caribbean or even Africa itself at that time or any other time. Rather he could've pulled it off today with AIDS, Covid-19; a massive prison -industrial complex; social media, etc. is questionable. We as a people need to be more committed to our belief systems. Stop letting other people tell you how you should feel about your own leaders or who to love or who to respect. I have not read one comment where African people hand off the baton in a challenge against other people's heroes and sheroes. Amongst his people(s) Prophet Muhammad came and brought a new word, a new symbolism and a new science: Why not The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad amongst his people?

I appreciate what the Nation done for black folks but I could never accept Islam, after reading the Quran, Hadiths and travelling the middle East, everywhere I went black folks were at the bottom of the social ladder and not respected, just like in the US. It's no coincidence Bilal was a slave all of Muhammad's life time, he never set him free, he had to beg for his freedom from Abu Bakr, Muslims will tell you he was highly respected in Islam, how is a slave highly respected? I thought you said you read the hadith's? Bilal was brought from a disbeliever who was torturing him for believing in Islam. He had a high status amongst the sahaba and they called him their chief. A. Musa Ahmad I've read the hadiths brother and as I said Bilal was a slave and never freed during Muhammad's life time, the only reason he is now revered in Islam is to gain black followers. I've seen the realities, If Islam had so much love for black folks why did it take until 2006 before an black chief imam was appointed at Al Haram mosque in Mecca? Why did the Imam himself say him being appointed was more significant than Obama being president? Why were the Arabs protesting about him being given this position? Want more examples of how they hate us? Muhammad had African sex slaves, the most notorious being Maria al- Qibtiyya from Egypt, who he even slept with on his wife's bed (all of this in the authenticated hadiths) she was not his wife, just a mere sex slave, which is meant to be forbidden in Islam. My own personal experiences in the middle East fit in line with this superiority over blacks, I was in Palestine where I met black Muslim Palestinians who have been there before Islam , who told me of day to day racism similar to the USA, my wife who is very dark skinned was called Nigga in Arabic because she refused a camel ride, this was coming from so called "oppressed Palestinians" I went to several other Muslim countries and seen and heard similar things from blacks there. The Arab slave trade lasted over 1400 years, slavery in Saudi Arabia only stopped in 60s, and today in Libya we have blacks in cages being a sold as slaves, this is why they risk, them and there children's lives trying to escape in makeshift rafts to get to Europe. This is no coincidence! The common denominator is ISLAM! WAKE UP BROTHER!

I humbly submit we believe he is alive and in power at 125 years old. We don't follow a dead Elijah. It's called the Life-Giving Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad as taught by his Top Student, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.

I have meet some wonderful people in that process. l have witnessed the effects on "white racism" or "white colonialism" on non white people, with my own eyes. However, the people of Asia, Africa and the Middle East were never taken out of their homeland and robbed of their names, language, culture and religion. A Lot of other Muslims claims he is not teaching True Islam because it's not a doctrine that follows their traditional lines of reasons about Islam as taught to them. But if they would have taken the time to learn and listen to what (he) the Hon.Elijah Muhammad was teaching rather than to judged him without knowledge, they would have understood where he's coming from in terms of his perspective on Islam not whether he's in alignment with their perspective or not, or how he sees God in their minds the same way. The world of Islam as it is, is not a one dimensional religion anyway, because they're broken down into various sects but all of them claim to be followers of Prophet Muhammad.
