    Excellent. Other channels didn't even show TCL had ink jet OLED or micro led.
    My questions are as follows
    1. Can we get hard time lines on when TCL truly believes ink jet will be mass produced
    2. Same for micro led. It was vague
    3. For 8k lcd mini led, he said the translucency is going up. How much impact on contrast will this have? More light passing can lead to poor contrast

    YES I want 3D tvs again!!! I still have my 65" Sony 4k passive 3D from around 8 years ago and it's still going strong. I have been holding out hoping for something truly spectacular before replacing it. The 3D is really good with this TV and it rivals the theaters pretty well. PLEASE BRING 3D BACK!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    I would like to see a brand like TCL bring our a new line of mini/micro LED TVs that have the constant height of the existing 65,75,85,98 inch model but expand out the width to meet a 235.1 aspect ratio - call it their cinema line. To me it could be a market disruptor. Use intelligent and/or manual stretching of image to meet the aspect ratio or if black bars to the side from a 16:9 image to have them utilised to show other smart items from the household (camera, doorbell, internet feeds, other channels for quick switching etc.).

    Their presentation seems weak compared to the others at CES, the hanging lights look kinda neat but when compared to entire walls engulfing people in forests and waterfalls it falls a hair short, the brother in the background hollering at the big booty girl just ties the whole thing together perfectly 👌

    Question for the podcast: This is amazing tech (the inkjet printed TVs), would we be safe to hope for TCL to enter the OLED monitor space, with at least 144hz (and DoVi, VRR, HRF, etc) and decent burn in warranties?

    • @pinkusagar
      @pinkusagar ปีที่แล้ว

      I think JOLED is now under TCL. Inkjet printing yield is still not good enough. Plus they have limited brightness support around 500 -600 nits. They need to overcome these challenges for it to be mass market ready.

    • @C--A
      @C--A ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pinkusagar I'm sure the TCL OLED tv's will be much brighter than 600 nits when it eventually releases in a year or two.
      More competition along with LG Display and Samsung Display is good for OLED.

    • @pinkusagar
      @pinkusagar ปีที่แล้ว

    Marek was great. Candid. I was wondering what had happened to Micro LED. I remembered reading about this being the next level after OLED.
    I'm happy to see JOLED inkjet solution becoming more widespread. LCD has been pushed far, far beyond what I thought was possible, but it's about time it was phased out in favour of OLED and then hopefully Micro LED.

    • @Grammostola
      @Grammostola ปีที่แล้ว

      OLED will not replace LCD anytime soon. For TVs it might be feasible, for productivity use the technology is simply not viable.

    • @LeJimster
      @LeJimster ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Grammostola I was thinking more of TV's when I wrote this. I'm pretty sure I read that LG were going to stop producing LCD tv panels and go full OLED. As for monitors, LG finally released 27" 1440p OLEDS which are the sweet spot for pc gaming right now. Burn in mitigation is seriously going to have to improve if OLED monitors are to become mainstream, but then again LCD's used to suffer just as bad if not worse when they first came to market...
