Tessa Lark is a student in New England Conservatory studying with Miriam Fried. This performance was part of her prize for winning the NEC concerto Competition.
Simon Yue is a private sound/film engineer who works closely with classical artists.

As another Walton enthusiast I too think this is overall, despite a few sour notes in the lst. movement, a very good performance from this gifted violinist of what is my opinion of of the finest violin concertos ever written - it does not get played at concerts nearly enough but it's the old story over again where audiences are concerned, I know what I like and I like what I know!!
Pity that the left hand pizz didn't work! But, as I said in the first movement, great playing!
