Really enjoying the thoughtful romanticism you added. Other performances seem brash and perfunctory by contrast. The middle section between, the theme statement and triumphant recap, needs just the contrasting style you provide.
wagner was not the madman here, it was liszt who thought "hey why not make this tune for a 50 piece orchestra into a two hands piano roll?", geez what was he thinkin? it would be easier to construct a fusion reactor than to learn this Anyway as much as Tannhauser overture rocks, Id like to see overture to Siegfried's first act on piano
especially in the frenzied section starting around 14:03, it feels like you need four hands to keep up with it. but nonetheless an amazing performance of an amazing transcription of an amazing piece of music.
Really awesome. I have no idea how many years I will need to be able to learn a piece like this. But this one is one of my father's favorite pieces ever! Your performance is really too amazing XD
I agree with medouch (5 years ago) before me...Liszt was the mad guy but the music was fantastic and so is this pianist ...nearly as good as Yulianna Adeeva.
I always feel sorry for the pianist when watching them play this piece, it seems like such a struggle. There are very few, professional or otherwise, who seem to be able to divorce their performance from the pianistic struggle (live at least)
Benno is one of the few to pull that off. He looks so at ease even during the ridiculous parts. This is an absolutely amazing performance though. Extremely impressive. He has a grace about the difficulty and I find that inspired
Incredible performance! It's not hard to imagine what it must have been like to hear Liszt himself in this. Spectacular playing. Bravissimo!!
Nothing can match the emotional impact and power of the orchestral version, but having said that, this performance on piano is excellent
Give this man a recording contract!
I love this performance.
Unbelievable Performance...bravo,bravo ..what human kind is able to do.. Wagner, the piano builders and this wonderful outstanding Artist ...
An excellent performance of an excellent transcription. Thank you!
My favorite rendition--correct tempo!
Yeah tempo is everything

Best I could find.
wonderful.
Excellent performance if a bit over romanticised. Jorge Bolet from years ago also well worth listening to.

The fusion reactor analogy really makes my day! Hard to beat your sense of humor...

YOU ARE REALLY GOOD!!!

Good luck!
Música maravilhosa!!!! Magnífica!!! Nunca havia ouvido no piano!!!
Impeccable
GENIAL !!!
genius
Majestuoso !!!
love his behind skill, must he succeed anywhere with his original talent
A great Chinese concert pianist interpreting a Hungarian transcription of a German composer. Now that's the universal language of Music!
So much notes xD
Some might say: too many notes ^^
Now listen to Cziffra - the benchmark performance to which all others strive!
No, its not the benchmark performance.

Better, IMO, than Adeeva's version. This has better tempo, where Adeeva's sounds like the herky-jerky.

His manner of playing resembles that of Yeol Eum Son.
很厲害但總覺得有些點稍微卡卡的.但比起youtube上各種現場演奏版算是很不錯的版本
SUPER PIANIST !!!
Gee...I know him................
😂😂😂😂😂😘
mannerism
well played by xixi, but I don't think piece is well suited for the piano.
9:49 hilarious mistake. Very cringe. Dislike!
