This camera is a beast of a camera. I’ve had it for a year now and I don’t feel the need in an upgrade. Instead of spending money to buy a new body I’ll get the best lenses and I’ll be set for AT LEAST 6 more years. The only reason why I would get a future a7x camera is to have a second body. But yeah, still definitely worthy in 2021!
i’ve never experienced overheating problems with mine. It’s an amazing camera and i’d recommend it to anyone, especially NOW that it’s on sale for $1698

A73 is still the best hybrid camera and there is a reason why literally every content creator / youtuber got it. Also people seem to forget that a body doesn't get any worse just because newer and better models are released. The A73 will be an outstanding body for years to come. A7S3 is better for video but for hybrid the a73 is performance / price / feature winner. Using it for 2 years without a single issue. I'll get the successor of it for sure once it's released since the a7s3 is too much focussed on video and I prefer a hybrid solution.
@@reswaratravel1040 Personally I don't have any issue with the shutter but there are always Monday products :) Between a7iii and a7c I would still go for the a73 since I prefer the body form and a7c is too small. But there are some great comparison videos between those 2 bodies. The lenses you mount on the body will influence your results so much more than the body anyway.
I bought my A7iii used for $1800 CAD (about $1400 USD) and as an upgrade from my old canon. Love the pictures and the video quality is brilliant. The only thing I initially hated was the menu system (especially compared to canon). The lens choice is also stellar.

I would say get the Sony A7iii. I think you get more out of it as the RP is just an entry level full frame while the A7iii is a very good full frame that’s able to stack up against cameras like the Nikon D850 and the Canon Eos R6
For anyone who experiences issues with the audio jack, this usually is because of the metal camera strap clip that hangs right above the audio jack itself. This is an issue because if your microphone jack accidentally touches the metal clip while it's plugged in, it can cause the whole audio system to short circuit. It's happened to me a number of times and I've had to send it in to get it repaired. To avoid this, you can either remove the metal clip and sacrifice your option to use a camera strap, or you can cover the metal parts with plastic dip or electrical tape so that you don't run the risk of accidentally short circuiting your audio. Other than that, the sony a7iii is a GREAT entry level camera and I highly recommend it for beginner filmmakers like myself :)

A7RII Ibis causes cameras to fail constantly. Sony UK say not covered under warranty. Apparently user fault. Do not buy. Look up ibis lock/shutdown. I only found out after it was too late. Share and tell everyone. Less than 10k actuations. Bad buy my bad. :(. This camera also has ibis :( camera takes decent pictures when it works. Unfortunately massively let down buy Sony aftercare
as someone who upgraded to this monster i can tell you right away to whoever is thinking about it, just go for it! Now if this will be your first camera i would not recommend it since it is very expensive and buying it and then not finding yourself in this business will for sure hurt your wallet. BUT if you had any other camera and thinking about upgrade then for sure even this and next 3+ years this camera will dominate. 2nd choice for me was gh5

The only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger is the price of lenses for the A7iii. I’m a canon user with mostly ef/efs glass so I’m looking at the EOS R
G master lenses are bloody extortion man. It's ridiculous. But thankfully canon and Sony have beasts of 3rd party glass as opposed to Nikon right now. Snap yourself up some sigma glass and you're well on your way.
Please I need some help. I just bought this camera, i don't have lens for it yet. I unboxed it, did everything right, fully charged it. My first time turning it ON and it doesnt work, the image is blurry, like full blurry, can't see anything, i can't shot any photos at all. Please whats the issue? the firmware is updated, i removed the cap i m not that dumb lol. i really dont know whats wrong, i even connected it to my phone as i dont have an SD card yet. it just blurry, can't see anything, if i move my hand infront of the camera i can see movement, but its like 10000% blurry, nothing clear. Help me please.. i spent to much on this not to be working
An cheaper alternative for the recommended microphone is the Sony GZ1M Gunzoom Microphone. It’s about 70 $ and goes directly into the hotshoe too. Used it for the last 4 years and it never let me down once.
For vloggers, is not having a self facing flip screen a deal breaker? Or do you get used to it? My biggest worry is that if I am filming myself on the move and can't see the screen, that the framing will be messed up.
My current camera doesn’t have a self facing screen and I hate it. It makes filming much harder because I never know when it’s out of focus and when my camera stops recording I never know. So if you can, get a camera with a self facing screen! It’ll be worth it

Bought mine from an older guy that had a ton of photography/videography gear but mostly used canon so he told me he used the a7iii just a handful of times... super low shutter... he let it go for $1,200 with the kit lens! And he also sold me a ronin s used once for $300! Got super lucky on that deal.

Recently got an A7iii because of this channel😅 unfortunately I got the Asian version which doesn't have English (didn't know that before i bought it) coz I'm in China. So i memorised the whole menu (yes the whole Sony menu😂). Otherwise the camera is fantastic and i don't regret this investment at all.

I literally sold my pocket4k for sony a7iii and i honestly f'n love it . The image is just so pleasing and the autofocus is amazing and makes it all worth it. Its a great run and gun camera .

Hi I updated my a7iii (firmware 4.0) and now I can just record 4K in 24 and 25 fps, no more 100 or 60fps, do you know why?

a7iii AF is better, but Z6 AF is still very good, better EFV / Display, better IS, USB-C....

Have you actually tested the ECM-B1M MIC with the sony A7III? according to Sony, sony a7iii does not have a digital audio interface.
