I feel so sorry for Janet Jackson because she lost her career over this yet Justin Timberlake got away scott-free because he’s a man. It also upset me a bit that it took him so long to even recognise and publicly acknowledge that he got away scot-free.

I watched the Britney Spears documentary a couple weeks before the conservatorship ended. It's so fucked up how the media fed us so much BS about her and sensationalized it. As a kid you don't know the difference. Thank God it's over. When it comes down to it she objectively did the work. She played over 500 shows while in the conservatorship. I hope she feels better now that she can do what she wants, have kids, get married, and be able to take the medications that her and a doctor feel is appropriate, not what her disgusting dad thinks. I mean he put an IUD in her, that's disgusting. I hope Jamie spears goes to prison for that.

@@jevinday The media is sexist and misogynistic towards women sadly. However, there are some male personalities who experienced karma like Matt Lauer, Les Moonves, David Letterman, Charlie Rose, Bill O'Reilly and Jeff Zucker. In other words, they are no longer in the media, LOL.
In other words, those female celebs like Britney and LiLo have the last laugh. For example, LiLo starred in her recent Netflix film and Britney collaborated with Elton John last year.
The Cosby assaults definitely deserve to be on this list, but also a disgusting dishonorable mention to that time Ray Rice decked his fiancée in the face before dragging her unconscious body inside an elevator.

I knew The Chicks would take a hit even though I agreed, but the level of hate was insane. Love that their comeback song basically gave those people the finger and said 'we're not sorry'.
The way the media treated Britney Spears probably made her mental health issues at that time worse. Miley's drastic transformation may have been healthier (probably), but both only highlight the absurd expectations placed on child stars, and especially the expectation that young women keep that innocent, 'virginal' image. That said, the Briney's conservatorship went on way too long and was flat out financial abuse IMO.
