    Followed your video this weekend, I went with the airtec instead but should do the job just fine for stage 2 👍 good to see a proper how-to

    Hi there. Bit late to the party! Is there a Ford code for that lower splash shield?

      Best ringing your ford parts number and just asking, they will find the number easily for you

    Hi mate, I know this is your old intercooler but do you remember what size bolts are needed to mount to the crash bar? Mine didn’t come with bolts either!

    • @CarRambles
      @CarRambles  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not 100% sure to be honest sorry, best bet is whatever hole you decided to drill. Go with that bolt! And remember good drill bits aha

      Car Rambles no worries bud, yeah I’ve found out the hard way that the crash bar is seemingly indestructible... not sure if my drill bits just aren’t up to it or I’m doing something wrong haha

      Get yourself some colbalt drill bits and ensure you use either cutting fluid or at the very least soapy water and go slow :)
      £15 in Screwfix I think for a good set of colbalt drill bits

    Step 1: Remove "Vudu Intercooler"
    Step 2: Buy Airtec Intercooler
    Step 3: Install Airtec Intercooler
    Step: 4 Faster Car.

      How did you come to that conclusion lol

      Even though the vudu coolers are made by airtec? Great conclusion

    How you drill the crush bar ?

    • @CarRambles
      @CarRambles  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      4mm then 8mm metal drill bit

    • @CarRambles
      @CarRambles  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you still through the centre like myself, you'll find it much thinner than the top or bottom. Just don't drill through and keep drilling into your radiator...

      Car Rambles what sized bolt mate

    • @CarRambles
      @CarRambles  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really can't remember, they was just some random bolts I had on hand. Measure the crash bar is possible, they don't have to be that big as the bar has an indent on the rear side.

      Do you have any recommendations. Kinda resent paying over £100 for the mishimoto one lol

    • @Q3ToPBuZz
      @Q3ToPBuZz 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CarRambles I know what you mean mate the Mishi ones are a bit pricey but the kit is tailored to fit perfectly. I looked at a few cheap e.bay ones that seemed ok and they would probably have been perfectly ok but i couldn't bring myself to bolt some unknown Chinese knock off to my engine, so in the end I went with the Mishi kit. I know you can buy thier cans separately so you can fabricate your own bracket and tubing which may be a cheaper option. Might be an idea to check out some of the forums, there's bound to be someone who has used a different option. Really enjoying your channel by the way. 👍

      I just installed the mishimoto kit, found a deal for 150 on ebay still new. Worth it in the long run in my mind when i want more boost, therefore increasing oil vapours and blow by.
