Canada is a shithole for people in tech and STEM. I am not talking about people from India bodyshops like Accentrue/TCS/Infosys but real software developers, electrical and electronics engineer, aerospace engineer and biomedical engineers. I have lived in USA for a decade (master's + Work), then 2.5 years in India, 2 years in Canada and now back to India. If you are in tech/science/Mathematics there is no better country in the world than the United States. It is better to stay for your whole life on H-1B then live in Canada/Australia/UK as their citizens. I studied on a full funded masters in US, but eventually decided to move to India for parents. I found it very difficult to fit in Indian society/culture, and ended up in Canada thinking I can get citizenship as backup, go back to India again to be with parents and later return to Canada. But I soon realized Canada is not USA, it is a substandard version of US, which has less opportunities, less robust economy, people are not as accepting and nice as Americans. All that things "Canadians are nice ane Americans are maniacs" is BS and propaganda. To make it worse, medicare and if you are chronically sick gives me insecurity. I have used healthcare extensively in US, including surgeries and I knew I was in good hands. Canada not really. I might get an appointment with specialist after I pass away. I thought of waiting till I get Canadian citizenship, but I left Canada 15 months shy of Canadian citizenship. Left back for India. I had option to marry a US citizen while I was in Canada, I would love to US later of my life in US. But abandoning my parents was not an option. I decided I love US but cannot move there at this time. I did not prefer India or Canada, as both have issues although different. At end decided on India, as both countries have issues (Canada and India) but in India parents are there. If in future (15 or 20 years down the line), US is in my fate, I would anyway reach there. I am not the only one. I know many of my friends and acquitances who moved from US to Canada/Australia/UK, and 5 to 6 years down the line, almost everyone returned to USA.
Canada 🇨🇦 also gives PRs to parents & free healthcare to parents as well 😅 I know people in Canada 🇨🇦 make more than USA 🇺🇸 employees by working on self-employed/Contract jobs.

i dont understand why Canada requires you to pay for the first year tuition fee and GIC before applying for the visa. even if the visa gets rejected (the rejections are really high), they send you the money in like 2 months after cutting a very small amount. just imagine how much they earn with your money in their hand in three months. for a student, 12lakhs approx for a year tuition, and then 12 lakhs for gic. about 25 lakhs to invest somewhere, even before getting your visa, sounds horrible. US is much better for visa applications.

For all Indians, on H1b you cannot call US a home, but with Canada PR you can. Rest all is just numbers. H1b will take a toll on you one day, unless you marry a US citizen.
Bro, you forgot to add that if you have a bf/gf from US then US is better choice as that is like getting an O1 visa or green card automatically. H1B is for those who were not successful in their love life 😆
Hi Harnoor! Thanks for the great video. I'm considering a similar decision but with PR express entry. Another point I'm really thinking of is - Sense of belonging in society. In USA you will never be truly accepted as part of society vs in Canada there is still a chance and immigrants are a little more proud in proclaiming they are Canadian.

Thank you for this Information Harnoor! I have a doubt, Let's say I complete my bachelors in India in CS and immigrate to Canada as a Permanent Resident. Now I spend like 3 years working there and get Canadian Citizenship. Now I move to USA with EB-3 in my hand and get Green card! So, the wait time for Canadian Citizens to get Green Card would be way less than Indian citizens! So, It would take almost 6 years for me to get Green Card. Isn't this option better than worrying for Job and fear of losing it every time and having only 2 months to get back to track? Please do reply!😄
Incomplete information will ruin your life. USA doesn't give green card quotas based on citizenship of individual, but based on birth county. People BORN IN India will have a very difficult time in USA to get Green Card via "normal" methods

Lots of fake assumptions. GIC is for safety of students. Many international students goes into depression due to financial difficulties. Most students use it for to pay 💰 fees. Most international students are debt 💸 free after graduation. Canada 🇨🇦 has co-op where it counts working as study 📚 and students get paid very well.
@@SinghinUSA Canada 🇨🇦 has unique government funded semester(co-op) in most universities including colleges. It counts as study 📚 and students can work full-time in their fields and use that money 💰 to pay for fees. LOL. First time hearing US healthcare is better than Canadian. I've lived and worked both in the US and Canada for 20+ years. Canada has walk-in clinics where you don't need private health insurance (or appointment), just provincial one and you pay $0 i.e., no co-pay. Most tests are fully covered by provincial insurance. Also, to get provincial insurance, you just have to be a resident and do not need a job. I live in BC, and students here pay a premium of 75 CAD per month but it is free once you get a work permit, and it is always free until you die. (Premiums can vary from province to province). Getting a family doctor can take months, but if you want immediate medical help you can get it instantly. Also, if you're planning childbirth in the USA, expect to pay close to 20K USD in hospital, unless you want to save money and can do it in a bathtub in your house. (The last part about the bathtub was a joke, pls don't do that, that's not safe) Cool video and great job trying to put together a variety of info in this video.

Free Healthcare and education 😂you pay those for those services in taxes and the worst part about Healthcare are the wait times even during emergencies. There's homelessness, drug abuse, hate crimes against minorities and chaos because of the liberal government of 🇨🇦
Canada is of no use for STEM personnel.
sir really needed the video . how to do computer science in usa after 12th commerce .please make video....

Approval is guaranteed if as long as you qualify. (IELTS-6.5 each 6, continuous study in related field, Good SOP) Rejection are for unqualified applicants.( less than 6.5, not each 6, studying normal diploma after bachelor degree, switching fields)
@@WorldTraveller0001 i have seen people with 7.5 ielts band, and everything being on the good lines, and still getting a rejection. just because I am a student, we have a lot of groups of people applying for it

But for US you need to show the proof of funds ,right ? Which 1 year living cost + 1 yr tution fee .

Unemployment rate Canada 🇨🇦 & USA 🇺🇸 count differently. Canada 🇨🇦 also count people below age of 18.
@@Pulkit__7correct but that being said, its still better to get canadian Citizenship. That way, you don’t have any restrictions working in the US. It’s still a better pathway than just staying in a job in US if you are an indian.
@@J007297 yeah, I agree. Finally I am sending in my Citizenship application tomorrow
Indians can never get USA 🇺🇸 PR regardless of citizenship. It is better to take Canadian Citizenship to be safe side
@@J007297 For Canadian to work in USA you still need to take Work Visa of USA. Basically you need talent to survive anywhere. You can make money even in India and have stress free life rather than jumping and hoping to other countries and wait for there decision to give you papers.
Sure that’s my perspective on GIC , everyone uses it in different ways
@@SinghinUSA Canada 🇨🇦 has unique government funded semester(co-op) in most universities including colleges. It counts as study 📚 and students can work full-time in their fields and use that money 💰 to pay for fees. Companies who hire co-op students gets government benefits. GIC got increased because lots of students were feeling financial stress due to inflation and 10,000$ was set decades ago. Your views are based on assumptions. If student doesn’t need that money 💰 they can use to pay fees or return to whom they borrowed from. Government has no interest in that money 💰
Will co-op work hours not count as part time job ? Or is it different from part time ?

(The last part about the bathtub was a joke, pls don't do that, that's not safe)
Cool video and great job trying to put together a variety of info in this video.

Sure! Those are personal experiences and depends from University to University. Thank you for sharing my perspective:
1. More students get fully funded in US than Canada as per data as per number of unis in USA
2. Sure fully funded are everywhere it’s just the number of students getting those in USA are higher
3. That’s a personal experience can vary from person to person

Actually its wrong. Canada has a way high and secure life standard + moreover in CS there's no difference at all from US / Canada minus salary which is better over wild guns in USA. Example Vancouver has much laid back luxurious lifestyle over Seattle where crazy violence, people are relentless, running behind not sure what.. etc.
Canada no matter what is way better if $ is not > life [which in USA is just a blink of dust.. with any random person shooting out of no where]
