- When is it a dealbreaker? #christiandating #theology
Nick, a pastor from Santa Barbara, CA talks about how to navigate Christian dating when you have theological differences. He helps us understand how to recognise foundational beliefs where you should align versus different interpretations that wouldn't be a dealbreaker. Even if you date someone from the same denomination as you, you will probably find different outworkings of your faith so this is helpful for any Christian.

Amen, thanks for sharing - good wisdom for all kinds of relationships & not just dating ones. One of the things I value about my small group is that whilst we do have theological differences in some areas, everyone is willing to listen to and learn from others in the group.
Think it's also important to be sensitive around theological differences where the issue is very close to home for someone eg it directly impacts a family member or close friend (or indeed themselves)
This is really good wisdom 👍

Is the subject of premarital sex defining or divisive? That's highly applicable to dating. And if there's a difference in belief, the holding of those boundaries falls on only one person instead of both.
Yep, sounds like a divisive one
