Video is still legit! Long time BLS renewal but first time using this RQI process. Absolutely have NO CLUE what to expect but thanks to YOU, have a nice visual on what to look forward to ESPECIALLY the 2 person rescuer setup. Many thanks again RN Katherine for showing the way!!
I’ve taken many cpr classes but this will be my first with this company. Tonight is my skills test. After watching this video, I’m not nervous anymore. Thanks for the vid.
Thank you so much. This si the exact course I’m taking and passed the first part now to do the skills part. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen but this was really helpful and now I’m not so nervous.
@@jenniferrsn Oh my goodness, so easy! I was all worked up and worried and stressed for NO reason at all lol - it may be different for you as far as class setting but there were 3 other people in there, 1 instructor and we all were in a line and just performed compressions on a dummy, used the ambu bag, then we paired up and did a couple scenarios as the instructor kind of just took turned watching us but it’s so easy. They want everyone to pass so she was more so showing us the right way and asking a few questions here and there but she said almost ALWAYS everyone passes lol. You got this!
Thank you so much for posting this video. I have never done my ACLS/BLS renewal via RQI. The nervous left as I watched you. I go this week to do the simulation. God Bless you and yours.
Your video was so helpful.. I was very nervous taking the final exam but seeing your video 5x 😂 calm me a bit but once I actually did the test everything you showed is the exact thing.. thank you 😊
Thank you so much for posting this! This gives a real live demonstration of what I can expect when I use this RQI system. I haven't seen anyone post a video in this manner that is so informative about the live feedback as you recorded. I recertify in May.Thank you again!
@@Katherine_Ann I can't imagine trying to video myself... I would feel so self-conscious... and I'm such a perfectionist that I would always find fault in all of my recordings... Was going to add that I also sing "Stay alive" while doing compression's to keep the rhythm correct. My biggest struggle is to remember to verbalize the count. Otherwise I'm pretty solid. :-) My re-certification in October for CPR Healthcare professionals level was done via an online portal through a private company because of the virus... it was somewhat like this, but a little different because it was in my own home while they watched me perform CPR on a stuffed animal. It was kind of odd lol! But, maybe because it was a re-cert, and they could see that it has been in an active status for over 10-years maybe they just gave me a "free pass"?? IDK the whole experience was odd but the card provided by this particular company was real nice, more than just a print out like the time before with American Heart Association.
That was an awesome video of the best one. I think I’ve seen yet.❤ thank you so much for sharing and creating an educational visual learning is a great way to go. I love the idea of using the computer to help you now how could you’re doing or if you’re not doing it well enough and how to correct it.❤
After 10 years, this is a good refresher. I’m going start my new job soon and I believe I will have to redo my CPR. So this is amazing! Now I can prepare myself. The only thing that I still get kind of confused is when doing the compression on your own. I forgot how many compression we would have to do and how many breaths.
Great video. This helps so much. I had no idea what to expect. This video is a lot more detailed than the generic one they sent in my email. I wish i saw this before registration so I can get the discount. Either way I appreciate you making this video. Thank you.

hello!!! This is a backdoor we're talking about not some kind of extra classes, you really won't expect her to have Facebook page it's not safe for her
Hi Phindile, that's a very valid concern. The AHA has said that compression only CPR can be just as effective as traditional compression/breath CPR. That is a decision you would have to make in that situation.

That's a common thing people worry about! It sounds terrifying, but it's not uncommon for providers to break ribs. You obviously don't want to do any harm to a person if you can help it, but if a patient is in cardiac arrest, they're already on their way to death, CPR is one of the few things you can do to save their life.
I remember an instructor of this style class telling me before that this allows for more hands on experience instead of just doing the skills every 2 years. That was in the hospital setting where it was required that you do some form of skill wvery 3 months.
These videos should be dated (at least in the title & the "about" section) so one can tell how current the recommendations are. I'm confused about why this video recommends breaths for adults when I was under the impression that that recommendation had changed. Please advise. Thank you. Have CPR skills portion today. I believe it is just like this.
i did that skill portion it was hard giving compressions
They can be tiring!
Very straight forward ⏩⏩⏩ and precise 💜
Love the content. I notice on the video's section for infant stating compression rate is 60. Isn't it 100-120 for all ages?
Thank you for watching! Yes, you are correct! The recommended compression rate for infants and adults is 100-120 per minute.
will the live instructor be on tv when I go to my appt?
Yes!
