I feel like you should be more popular. Maybe we need to add a cool looking blue light to the back of you and you’ll be sitting at the cool lunch table in the cafeteria in no time.
Hover-1 scooters are actually very smooth and high quality. I used to have a Hover-1 journey myself but I sold out and upgraded to the Segwayninebot ES4 because I needed something with a lot more range and more power for climbing hills (there’s a lot of them where in live in upstate NY) but for those reading this I highly recommend getting this Hover-1 scooter. You won’t be disappointed with there products.
*Battery life is great **Latest.Bike** Scooter . Love the different driving modes. It’s got a little headlight and taillight too. Gets lots of looks haha*
I know this video is old, but they now have these for $198.00 on Amazon and on the Wal-mart site. For 200 and free shipping, I can live with all the cons.
I got to this video on accident and waking up today I had absolutely no intention of buying a scooter. After stumbling upon this video I just purchased one on Amazon and it arrives next Wednesday. Hover-1 oughta pay you / at least send you a new scooter because you are for certainly garnering them quite a few new sales
@@Jaciechan you may need to change the speed mode. while the scooter is on, press the power button once, it will show 1 or 2, 1 is the slower mode, 2 is the faster mode.
If you don’t care about the warranty, I would suggest you buy a handle accelerator and then rewire it from the thumb one and also get a matching handle for the left side.
for the life of me i can’t figure out how to unlock the mechanism that locks the handle bars upright. you did it so effortlessly in the video. i have been trying to undo it so i can fold my scooter and store it but no matter how hard i push or pull it won’t come undone. Pls help 😬
I’m 46 and my company came out with a points reward program at work. Just as a joke, i used my points and got the Hover 1 Highlander. It was the cheapest scooter with an adult weight rating. I work for a utility company and we garage out of an old converted airplane hanger. I use the scooter to “commute” back and forth to the bathroom and just screw around inside the garage. Gotta be honest, for something so cheap, its a lot of fun, and has worked pretty well. A lot of the guys at work grab it to ride for a few minutes at the end of the day. I see now why these things are getting so popular. Wouldn’t recommend the one i have for any real commuters, but its a pretty nice toy even for an adult.
21 mph, that is freaking good for a 450 dollar scooter! Plus it's much more better looking than the Xiaomi, this scooter earns the name "Xiaomi Killer"
I think it’s the best scooter for the money. It’s a a little under powered for me being closer to the weight limit. It’s perfect for my GF who has a blast riding it. For me spending a little more would help get a scooter with more power and torque for my local hills.
I own the Hover-1 Pioneer/Journey which is a Xiaomi M365 clone. The price difference from a real M365 mostly comes from the lower quality batteries in the Hover-1. The Alpha seems like a clone of the Ninebot G30 with a front wheel drive instead. I'd expect the same problems across Hover-1 clones, the batteries won't provide the range they advertise, expect only half the range stated on the box. I solved that issue by purchasing and installing battery packs from Aliexpress.
i bought this unit on best buy. i used it for 3 months. time came to change tires and inner tires. THEY DONT HAVE ANy REPLACEMENT TIRES. the customer service told me to buy 10.2 waited for 1 week and it wont FIT. Guys next time if you want to buy something make sure that the unit you bought has a replacement tires available or any important parts that you would change soon
i had the same issue with another hover 1 scooter. tubes didnt fit and it was a pain in the ass to even just change period. the valve wasnt the right valve and tube was too big. i really want another 1 but debating on that issue alone
I still think this scooter is worth buying especially if you are on the heavy side and need some more power than things like the eagle. I Personally modify these scooters to increase range, and upgraded chargers to reduce charging time. As for stopping power, have you used the foot brake and the disc at the same time?
@@mikejimenez6470 I don't exactly own an alpha, but my brother owns a Eagle. We increased its maximum range with a homemade battery pack, the limitation is that the motor overheats.
@@walkinator5869 Yea I got one for Christmas and was pretty happy with it! Up until this summer when I started riding it more did I realize how fast the battery drains :/
Great review I just bought this the other day and unboxed today . Did you have any problems setting up the handle bar ? I feel like the alignment on mine is off and struggling getting the screws in .
I just got this model I got it for work Which is 4 miles away And travelled on sport mode 2 bars of the battery did go down I don't like the inner tube tires Because the chances of getting flats high And to be checking the PSI is no fun... by the way I Unplug the X lite on the platform of the scooter makes it so much better
I've only ever used manual kick scooters, and its Hannah Montanna no less. I got it when I was 4, and was still kicking it around for a while. I got a Razor, 10mph electric scooter; enjoyed it, but the battery refused to charge after a little over 3 months without a charge. My mom got me this as a present to help me commute around our little, but mostly inaccessable town; so no more than 5 miles at any given point, usually. She's awesome. I can't wait to try it out! Gonna be the coolest one at work... Once someone actually accepts me. 😆
I am getting this as a replacement for my Highlander Pro that literally snapped in half. The platform on the Alpha looks so much better as my Highlander Pro platform is really thin and poorly welded. The welds just snapped right apart when I hit a bump. I’m glad to see that this is a robust scooter with increased weight tolerance.
Did it end up being better than the highlander? Cuz im in the exact same situation my replacement is the alpha since they are out of stock for the highlander
Lots of issues with this scooter. On mine, the box says 18 miles distance with the 30 cell battery which is not close to true. The neck does not lock as it is not straight and the pump for the tires does not fit....
My alpha 1 pro I boight last year has a rear drum brake plus the motor assisted brake and it stops on a dime. They must have done some upgrades. I just ordered another Alpha pro for my son.
I'm considering to getting one, I wonder which scooter is the best on uphills, this one has 450W motor but I've seen some comment that can't climb uphills, any idea guys? I'm confused 😶
Awesome review. Would like to know what you think of the Aviator and the Rally as well? The biggest con for me on the Alpha is the thumb on the accelator ... is it the same for the other Hover-1's?
This is an excellent review. I’m personally not in the market for an entry level scooter because I have a Kaabo Wolf Warrior + on the way, but I still watched the full video! Keep it up.

Yea, so I didn’t adjust the brakes and went down this really steep hill that would make you go atleast 30 down, and the brakes failed and it wouldn’t stop so I had to manually stop it with my foot and jump off before I hit the grass, PLEASE ADJUST THE BRAKES
I'm starting to research scooters for transportation purposes really because my commute to work is only 4.5 miles one way so about 9 miles total. Now some of the roads are kinda dicey but what would you recommend for something like this? I would charge it at work for the commute home so I guess battery isn't a huge deal.
