I recommend Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood as a next introduction anime its still one of my favourite shows ever. I did start with fma, but with the quality of AOT as a starting point, Brotherhood holds up

As an Ecologist, allow me to explain to Karl; There is no whale family or dolphin family per se (don't want to get too technical here). Dolphins, whales and porpoises belong to the Parvorders Odontoceti (toothed-whales) or Mysticeti (baleen whales), which all belong to the Infraorder Cetacea. Dolphins are all Odontocetes/toothed-whales. What we call dolphins are usually just smaller, beaked, toothed-whales, whereas we tend to call smaller non-beaked, toothed-whales porpoises. There are also some really small toothed-whales which we just call whales, such as Cuvier's Beaked Whale. Karl's mind is really gonna be blown when he finds out that whales are fish! 😂 Well, one can make a solid argument that all tetrapods are fish. I would recommend 2 animes if you continue with the channel, Vinland Saga and Berserker. Either of the two would fall into the spectrum of assimilable for u guys, since they have a more tone of adult concepts regarding the cosmopolitan vision of societies and beyond a bit of fantasy, something like AOT. Kindaichi (not a lot of people know this anime but it's a show that Damon, Karl and Tony would definitely get into because it's a detective series and very scientific). I can see the ladies liking Violet Evergarden. In general, these anime that are family friendly are: The Apothecary Diaries (recommended) Eighty-Six Steins-Gate Not an anime, but I would propose watching "Special Affair Team TEN" which is a Korean series, solving the 10% cases that could not be solved under normal means. It featured a group of unorthodox personnel in this investigation team to resolve these unsolvable kids. There's also this "Galileo" 2007 series from Japan that features mystery and detective solving.

Suggested: Death Note is pretty good, it's not really mystery or comedy but suspense (though it does have some comedic moments) My choice: Steins;Gate is a mystery/sci-fi that is one of the highest rated of all time, I'd hope they aren't put off by how eccentric the characters are because they're a great source of comedy. Suggested: Vinland Saga is action, which doesn't mean only one of them will enjoy it as AOT is too but it lacks the mystery/suspense elements it has, it slows down in season 2 but thankfully Tony does enjoy "thinking shows" so I think he'll be fine, if everyone else will handle that is unclear. Another downside is that it's incomplete and we don't know when the next season is coming. My choice: Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, like Steins;Gate it's also one of the highest rated with well written and wacky characters, mysteries but also action. This one is complete. Suggested: Promised Neverland is pretty bad because the quality takes a huge dive during season 2 and there's no continuation yet but if they feel like watching it regardless then at least limit it to the first season only. My choice: Monster. I haven't actually seen this one myself, so it's hard to recommend except for it being a highly rated, thought provoking mystery anime that's complete. Another anime that would be a better choice is Psycho-Pass, it's a thought provoking mystery too, but also sci-fi and like Promised Neverland it's best not to watch it past season 1. Suggested: I think a good way to figure out how much they'll enjoy Frieren is asking them how much they love LOTR, if they all do then it's an easy watch. Though it currently only having one season will be a big bummer I imagine. My choice: Mushoku Tensei. Yeah, you read that right. Obviously I don't want it to be the next show they watch, especially since it only has two seasons currently, but honestly I just want to see how they'd react to it lole.

Vinland Saga is action, which doesn't mean only one of them will enjoy it as AOT is too but it lacks the mystery/suspense elements it has, it slows down in season 2 but thankfully Tony does enjoy "thinking shows" so I think he'll be fine, if everyone else will handle that is unclear. Another downside is that it's incomplete and we don't know when the next season is coming.
My choice:
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, like Steins;Gate it's also one of the highest rated with well written and wacky characters, mysteries but also action. This one is complete.
Suggested:
Promised Neverland is pretty bad because the quality takes a huge dive during season 2 and there's no continuation yet but if they feel like watching it regardless then at least limit it to the first season only.
My choice: Monster. I haven't actually seen this one myself, so it's hard to recommend except for it being a highly rated, thought provoking mystery anime that's complete.
Another anime that would be a better choice is Psycho-Pass, it's a thought provoking mystery too, but also sci-fi and like Promised Neverland it's best not to watch it past season 1.

I think a good way to figure out how much they'll enjoy Frieren is asking them how much they love LOTR, if they all do then it's an easy watch. Though it currently only having one season will be a big bummer I imagine.
My choice: Mushoku Tensei. Yeah, you read that right. Obviously I don't want it to be the next show they watch, especially since it only has two seasons currently, but honestly I just want to see how they'd react to it lole.
