    yes, that's the right way to eat lemang or ketupat.
    chop the food into bite pieces, dunk it into the gravy, don't forget to add a bit of the meat too and enjoy 😄

    Another great video about Malaysian street food and festive celebrations. It is interesting how the lemang is slow cooked in the bamboo. It certainly all looked as good as it obviously tasted, going by your comments.
    Looking forward to the next video.

    You did the correct eating, by your bare hand. Thats the correct and the best way to feel the lemang and rendang.
    The next Hari Raya dish you need to try is Nasi Himpit and Kuah Kacang. This dish also will blow your tastebud mate.

    you eat it the right way... but this one making using Daun Lerek not Banana Leaf, thats why u can pull it easy from the bamboo... of using Banana Leaf u need to cut the bamboo to take out the sticky rice... anyway i believe u have try the best in lemang in malaysia from the quee at the Lemang Stall..

    Btw, the lemang bottom part is the best. It is more rich, softer and super delicious than the rest part of lemang. It will enhanced triple the taste when you dip it with rendang.

  • @anakjitrakubangpas4460
    @anakjitrakubangpas4460 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The leaf that you pull out is not banana leaf. It is lerek leaf (daun). The lemang itself is called lemang daun lerek. Usually seller used banana leaf, but lemang daun lerek is uncommon.

    That's not rice as in the normal staple food everyday rice that you eat.
    For lemang and ketupat palas....you only use glutinous or sticky rice.

    Normally lemang wrap with banana leaf, but that one you got not banana leaf, that one is special one they use lerek leaf. So we call it lemang daun lerek.
