Thanks for this basics guide. I'm interested in MOAs. Specifically the cabling of two brushed motors with two separate ESCs.

Thank you for this video. Being fairly new to the hobby the electric side of things seems a little intimidating as I do not want to destroy my components. I would eventually like to be able to wire my own stuff and to better understand how the parts work together. I’m using a direct powered servo simply because I do not know enough about BEC’s and want full speed from it and again do not want to kill my rigs. 🍻

Glad to see you start this series. I have only been tinkering with rc cars for about a year. You would not belive how many videos I have watched to learn basic wiring and rc workings. It's nice to find all the info on one channel..Thank you.

Definitely appreciate your videos. It's stuff that some people who are into the hobby don't know. Keep them up.

Direct battery powered steering servos are what gets my attention...I sure would enjoy you explaining and demonstrating their use. I would love to buy one of your bullet proof servos for my 1/10 crawler. A good video would help me justify the price of the best servo.

Love your videos! I have been building a Ryft kit to be a little more rock crawler friendly and still rock racer capable. I'm running a copperhead 10 with a 1415 2400kv 13 tooth pinion. Your products aren't well presented on the Ryft pages. You should do a video for us to see what options we have with your products and your opinion! Seems like the first thing most Ryft owners do besides a sway bar is move to a sensored system. Thanks for the content!

Great video! Looking forward to more in-depth electronics guides in the future. I would appreciate a video on the dos and don'ts of electronics with regard to how to maintain/not destroy them. A trouble shooting guide might help too. For example, I have an SHV650 that twitches, and I don't know why. It's plugged directly into a 3s battery along with a Copperhead ESC and a Puller Pro Stubby. Any thoughts on the twitch?

The "radio" is called a transmitter, it transmits the RF signal to your receiver.

So on that Brushless Revolver Classic John, does it always squeal the way it does here on this video no matter how it's installed with different powered combinations?

with a castle esc, thats what it sounds like . With a crawlmaster it pretty silent.

You have most likely covered this at some point! Does the b-link work on the torque master BR-XL esc? Not sure I'll ever need to change the settings but I dont own a computer...got rc's instead lol!

Yes but not recommended, it can scramble the throttle curve

Thank you for doing this series. I bet many electronics have been smoked due to lack of knowledge and lack of any “instructions” shipped with the units. Could you please also compare brands and the amount of noise they make. I hate the high pitched scream or the insane grinding sound that some brands have.

Better for motors, silicon conformal or epoxy potting compound is better for esc

Yeah, I got a few tips for you too: Avoid anything Traxxas, specially electronics.
Avoid any chinese re-branded transmitter, like the Tactic ones and the othersI saw you got there. Stick to the Kyosho Synchro, Perfex, The Futaba and the Sanwa transmitters.
Avoid recent Axial models, Gmade and Vaterra.
RC4WD are great crawlers, also the Absima ones ( CR 3.4 Sherpa, Khamba and Yucatan. They are made by a brand called Yikong, with pretty high standards and quality). The FTX Geo, the Spyder, the Fury Extreme and the Mauler, they are pretty good for the price too. And yes: I'm a newbie that started in this hobby just 30 years ago. Now, happy RC.

no, this was a radio issue. I'll have to figure out how to remove the ABS function or just use another radio.

Is it best to have a sensor or unsensored motors for crawling

    • @brianellison3525

Sounds like a good excuse to buy a used bomber or an older capra.
Trail trucks tend to get beat up, crawlers don't like being beat up. They quit crawling decent pretty quick.

I'm waiting on Uncle Sam and going to get the SCX10.3 Gladiator was wanting to do both. Putting a puller pro v2 and copperhead 10. If there are any available. Slight lift on 2.2 wheels.

    • @Johnny_Guitar
      @Johnny_Guitar 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The one thing that's VERY important about a Sensored motor is that it's ONLY to be used for crawlers and NEVER for race nor bashers, remember that! The other issue is if a Sensored Brushless packs it in, then you have to replace the entire unit! Other than that....it surpasses everything for ultimate 'creep' control.
