Remember this one well, I was yelling at you because you put the tent out in the weather for no reason. Plenty of room under the tarp and it's a Hilleberg..needs no testing. Ah well, so be it, still a nice play camp even if the wind sucked.

I suppose it is relative, but I think all you got was a skiff of snow. To me heavy snow is six inches or more, in one storm. Looked like a good time though.

Worst time I ever had camping was a New Year's holiday. Texas is usually not ice, snow, below zero, but it was that year. 13 below, I warmed up the old van, got the kids warm, headed for home. A 1 1/2 hour drive took almost 4.
I sure do enjoy the winter ones.

That surprise snow storm must have been quite an adventure! I can totally relate to the thrill of unexpected weather conditions while camping. I love the look of that tent/bivy/shelter. What ever you call it. But when it comes down to that many poles steaks and lines I would rather set up a conversation tent, and as a bivy witch is my go to.. whip it out and go to bed!

Why don’t you ever have your tent somewhat under your tarp? And one more question what is that bundle that you carry in front of your chest?

Hey Luke, start cooking your meals instead of eating those bag meals. You know make some burgers and fries or hotdogs, chili dogs.I know that freeze dried stuff is convenient and everything, it just seems right to have a campfire and cook. Not complaining or anything, I enjoy watching!
