NEXT TIME BUILD THE FIRE AT LEAST THREE FEET AROUND WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE YOU ENTRANCE AND COULD HAVE HAD WOOD TO FEED YOUR FIRE AT ARMS LENGTH AND WOULDN'T BE LONG IN THE COLD DURING RE STOKING THE FIRE TO KEEP WARM
@@pedroparamo-fw6ezwood is flammable lol having the fire too close too shelter can be devastating and fatal but I agree for warmth having closer makes sense just got to be careful with how close especially with a shelter that can go up quick..
I like that you are putting pine boughs on your shelter. I see people putting wood or branches all of the time, but the boughs will cut the wind with less work required.
Wow! What a find! That upturned tree 'setup" could easily be turned into a very snug pretty long term camp...heck...I'd even put a floor and a small wood stove in it! Love the shelter you built by the way! Just a great time. Cheers.
Thanks for the video, I decided to start hitting the woods myself after watching you. Haven’t camped in a long time and looking forward to honing my skills.
That is a really nice shelter! I love it and you did a really great job building it. Did the tree roots and soil around them help insulate the shelter? 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Now that I have read some of the comments, I have to congratulate you for making the fire just the right distance. My grandfather taught us kids, 60+ years ago, if the fire is too close, not only will the smoke choke you, the heat building up inside will melt the snow and it will drip into the shelter and that's a bad thing to do. So, CONGRATULATIONS. You really did it right.
Great job 😀❤️. So glad I'm subscribed. Very enjoyable video. Your photography skills are really good, too 😉😄. Thanks for sharing this with me 😀. Hello from Indiana USA and this 63 year old lady.

Well I agree it is not good to shelter under a tree root. I have seen one on our camp property fall back to the ground. I could not do it. Thanks for sharing😊

you built your fire to far from bed. And, I would have dug a shallow hole 6 ft long, 3 foot wide, to sleep on, after I filled it with hot coals and then buried the coals with 2 inches of dirt. then sleep on that. And I would have built a long fire using 5-foot-long logs. But it looked fun. I love it. Good job
When you took off your glove & walked into the camera, what were you doing or whom you were listening to? The person videoing do they have a fire also or what to stay warm? What do they do when you go to sleep for the night? The peace of brown food you put on that broken sapling who or what was that for?
I admire your spunck Just wondering why your camp fire is so far away. Could you not have built it under the root ball of the tree. After all the root ball is just dirt so it wouldn't catch fire. You would have kept warmer. Other then that you did a great job setting up camp.
Fire closer and reflector wall behind would be more comfortable but certainly workable. Winter hours of light cuts nearly 4 hours off a summer day so time is an issue
Fire closer with reflector...melts snow on roof and rains on your bedding and you. Greater chance of smoking your shelter too. Fire is correct distance.

Get a saw with bigger teeth mate, that saw is useless for cutting large logs and makes harder work. Also... fire to small and to far away from shelter. 👍
2 things dont make sens: 1. Wasting precious energy building a big elaborate structure for one person 2. When you have this big hut, you put the precious fire INSIDE, not outside
If he put it inside he will get burn cause it's to tight and also his alone so he build it Only for him self. If you can go out side and build shelters like him and show us how you will made it for one night only.
Absolute survival genius... use of natural materials to create a safe wind breaking shelter... fire making level over 99... just from your comment most people can tell you haven't spent much time trying stuff like this just enjoy the show man....
In some cases to not burn themselves or to not suffocate in their sleep. The fumes can kill you or the fire might take away all of your immediate oxygen. You also don't want the snow to melt, good insulation.

Fire too far from hut. Otherwise cool. You can chop down small trees and lean against structure for added protection. Fast and easy.

Well said and your grandfather was very knowledgeable and correct.
Cool shelter. Fire closer like everybody is saying. A heat reflector behind the fire would be nice too and blocks the wind 😊
Amazing video, dude. I love watching it. Keep up the good work and warm greeting from Indonesia 🔥🔥🔥

Cool adventure man. Lots of work.
It felt a lot better now that he had shelter from the cold snow and rain
野外沒有水和吃的熱量的食物是非常辛苦的,下次要作好準備再出來,不然會生病的!
First thing I thought of.....wrong saw for what you're doing. Seems drafty. I would definitely move the fire closer. Cool shelter though.
That was damn pleasant. Thanks for the video
Fire closer to opening and wind block behind fire ,good job shelter was nice where are you getting your water have not seen you processing water🇺🇸
Aren’t you worried about that tree rotating or letting go and you getting a little root ball surprise?
Not at all been in that position for a while.
Exactly, we here (upper MI) NEVER shelter under this - you could lose your life
Well I agree it is not good to shelter under a tree root. I have seen one on our camp property fall back to the ground. I could not do it. Thanks for sharing😊
It was quite cold, what was the temperature at that time..? That grilled dish looks delicious
great shelter, steady fire, i would place fire closer, i know its for safety, just alittle closer, i liked your video
great video, keep them coming like this you will go far, good luck...

nice!!!i enjoyed it!
Very Very nice 👌🏽 👍🏻
Great work. I would have cooked the onion to bring the sweetness out. thanks for the video.
Nice Shelter
Que legal maravilhoso parabéns 👏👏👏🇧🇷❤
Very nice camp😊
You don't have a hot tent, stove! But I think you're safe and you will survive .
Nice videos
Make wall to redirect the heat
Deberías poner más cerca el fuego y comprar guantes de látex para que te los pongas arriba de los del frío y no se te mojen 😂 Amigó capichi
So nice brother 🎉

Под выворотнем - опасно, может стать на место.

It’s ok if the main tree is still attached will hold very good
Get a saw with bigger teeth mate, that saw is useless for cutting large logs and makes harder work. Also... fire to small and to far away from shelter. 👍
stay this long duration video sir,for up next your video'
Genial 😂👌👍
Have you thought about covering more of the front opening? So it will hold more heat…
Maybe I'll go back to this hideout and do some minor upgrades.
Invest in a folding silky saw ..takes up less space and cuts 3 times as fast ...
Steel or titanium tent stove with a chimney would be better which could be set up inside the shelter - The fire is to far away from the shelter.
Is that a Burberry blanket?
lol right I’m going thru the comments like ain’t nobody gone say anything about the cashmere Burberry 😂
Good nature. But this shelter is only for few hours. How about spending there night! Too cold I think.
Nice

Nice shelter but your fire is so far from your shelter.
Looks like fun, but snow is SOOOOOO depressing.
El fuego ponlo más cerca para que caliente tu 🏡 casita 😅
It looks so easy, when people make a fireplace. I couldn’t start a fire, even if I had a flamethrower.
We’ll get to learning how! 😊 no better time than the present!

Why not build the fire closer to the shelter? Long fire is better too.😊
Oh, so you know what to do when winter camping?? Please, give me your channel name so I can subscribe and watch Your videos 😮.
Listen up nic and listen very carefully! Never eat yellow snow! Thank me later nic!
Extremely experienced in winter camping.
I thought it was lemon flavor?😅
Probably to keep the smoke out or animals away 🤷🏾♂️
Minute 10:46 Did you hear any noises in the forest? Or what happened? You stopped and walked towards the camera.
when camping with no inside heat. boil water for a hot bottle will help alot.
good to know i am not the only one how likes onions just raw and big junks
Ban o dat nuoc nao vay.
Why camper casting fire so long from the shelter, they can warm up while sleeping
In some cases to not burn themselves or to not suffocate in their sleep.
The fumes can kill you or the fire might take away all of your immediate oxygen.
You also don't want the snow to melt, good insulation.
Important to have the tools of the trade.
Think i would have built the fire a little closer to the shelter , maybe a windbreak too.
Good job
