The John Acquaviva mix on this release is outstanding. Totally captured the music of the moment and can still be enjoyed today. The mark of good music.
This is, to keep it simple, one of the finest continuous vinyl sets of the DJ vinyl set releasing era of the early to late nineties. In my opinion, this here, as well as Dave Clarke's Electro set also on X-MIX, and the DJ Kicks release of the ultimate DJ set ever recorded, the Kruder & Dorfmeister classic, are by far the most outstanding vinyl DJ sets ever made available to a mass audience. ...not to forget about all those out of the competition sets by legendary Ninja Tune... But, as stated, out of any competition...
Awesome upload..got most of the cd's myself and a few of the vids!, ...these should be boxed in time capsules so our future generations can listen to great electronica/techno/ambient etc
Damn, I was lucking to grow up in Chicago with the house music in the early 90's, house parties, great music, hot ass girls everywhere,,,,,,I need a hot tub time machine ASAP!!
@MrScottwetherill YT have increased the limits, not sure if available to everyone yet but lots seem to have it, pretty much unlimited duration it seems!
+Scubadevils yeah, it is killer, esp. Aquaviva mix. The true sound of the good ole daze for me at least- very nostalagic...cutting shapes. I have X-mixes 1-6 & this is my fav, but they are all good, esp. LG, PVD, Dave Angei & DJ Hell. Cheers mate & again thanks for upload.
speedy J - Pepper (hot mix I think) what a track. Loved it back in the day, so many good tracks around 1993. Try vapourspace - Gravitational arch of 10 if you want to slightly feel what it was like at a rave back then :)
placid renegade Ha yes indeed - I'll never forget hearing Justin Robertson play it in Dublin around 94... I had it so knew what was to come but it was incredible watching the crowd react - place went nuts when it kicked in... I had to reassure a guy near me that the intro would evolve! Great times.

Dj's now a day's should do what these legends do. Mix with vinyl. A proper dj knows how to mix vinyl. What a mix. Every track on tis is amazing. :')
This CD is playing for more than a year in my car! The best of the x-mix-series...

j'y crois pas!!! Le "parce que" de tout le pendant et tout ce qui s'en est suivi!!!! Merci Scubadevils!!!!

This set stills sounds just crazy !!! Pure acid music
The second tune is unreal. Classic techno.
Ursa major 7 is such a twinkly spacey bit of electro, sets the tone for this mix. Still outstanding today.
richie and john are such a good combination
Saw this man at The End in '03 sandwiched between James Zabiela and Justin Robertson. He tore the place up
Very nice.
