Hello! This video really, really inspired me to push even more into taking Psychology. I'm still conflicted because of the reason that my parents don't exactly approve of me taking the course because of practicality (for them). I understand that they want me to be headed into a path of being secure in life, but really, I've had a love for psychology because of what it is all about and what one can do in the professional field. I've always cared about mental health ever since. I've had family members have certain behaviors and personalities, I've had relatives and friends struggle in life and go through deep and dark states, I've also gone through periods of depression myself. I've been interested in exploring psychology because of an understanding of how impactful experiences and the state of the mind can be to one's behavior and way of life. My admiration for psychology isn't because of the money. It's because of having a heart for it: caring for people, listening to them, understanding their behavior, and so much more. I just really, really care, and I've never been more certain that I want to take psychology as my course for college. I'm still hoping for things to come around, so that I can do what I really want to do in life, and in return, provide for my parents and make them happy.
But thank you for the video, I'm so glad I came across this. You made me have a better understanding of psychology, and my love for it has ignited even more.

I'm Incoming freshman student next year and currently in a HUMMS strand and this course is really interesting for me, I feel excited kapag ung subj. na sa school is about understanding human behaviours and yeaa I'm planning to take it in college. Pero napanghihinaan ako ng loob. I'm still confused sguro ng dahil I always doubt on myself. Sa mga kakayahan ko. I'm not so good rin in memorizing, then sa subj na math and science. I'm really scared. I found strength lng kapag my friends said na this course suits my personality because I'm empathetic person raw. Still I'm so confused at the same time really curious about human behaviours like bkit my ganung klaseng tao.

Althroughout the years I've been asking myself what I want to be in the future. I'm already in Grade 10 so I also want to know what I want. And then just yesterday I realized I want to become a Psychologist. I want to help people. As a teenager I also experienced depression. I always cried at night without knowing the reason behind my tears. And my friends always compliments me for being a good adviser and problem solver. Little did they know I cried secretly. And I always feel the pressure of being an honor student. I'm an honor student because I work hard but sometimes when my rank goes down they always asked me why and everytime they asked me I always felt down. I worked so hard but it just that sometimes there are times that we experienced failure since it's part of our life. So yesterday I decided to research about being a psychologist and thanks to this video. I want to make other people feel better and I want students to take their time co'z there's always the right time.
People will always judge you no matter you do good or bad things they always have a say to you.
Psychology will allow you to understand the human behavior and mental processes. But that, I mean, you will better understand why a person act, think, feel the way they do. And it’s usually backed with research and practice.

Hello po! Thank you for this informative video. This helped me address my confusion on whether what to do next after my Bachelor's degree in Psychology (btw, I'm a 3rd yr Bs Psychology student). I'm planning to take Clinical Psychology and this inspires me to pursue what i really wanted. I agree with u when u said that salary doesnt really matter as long as ur passionate with what ur doing and as long as you are anchored with your goal- to be of service. Psychology is really both a passion and a profession. I can't wait to be a Clinical Psychologist just like you! We must always be anchored with our goal and intent- to be of help and service.

I believe it depends on the medical school youre applying. UP manila and other medical school accepts AB or BS degree for admission but other school recommend a certain required units in natural science subjects like PLM or St Luke's. Im taking AB Psychology and I will pursue Medicine next year :)

bachelor> licensure exam> work while taking masters(or however u want),> 200 hrs (for an approval from your supervisor) > another licensure exam > if u want specialization, gather experience to be approved. Did I get it right? huhuhu help po I need to explain this to my parents and convince them

Thank you for a very informative video, however on the part of subjects that were given to us(HUMSS strand) are just an overview and generalized, which these subjects contains an ethical, Acts-as aforementioned, R.A. 10029, and etc. for aspiring psychologists, since there is a “bridging program” in some universities. They are required to finish two additional subjects over two years just to be considered qualified to take psychology course.

Hello! Thank you so much for this video! I already graduated with a degree in BA Psych and passed the Psychomet Licensure but went straight to work in the HR field (bc it was the most practical) but lately I've been thinking of shifting to the clinical setting like you. It has always been at the back of my mind to be a Psychologist even as an undergrad, and to be more specific, to dabble in Forensic Psych as well (I was so surprised that you mentioned that too bc the coincidence???? omg). I just want to ask lang kasi you mentioned in the video that PRC won't just give you an examination admission slip and that they need to do further assessment... aside from your mental health, what else do they need to evaluate? Also, do you have any tips when it comes to choosing which Masters program in Psych to enroll in? Parang may mga subfields na yung iba eh.. Also, tips in surviving an MA program in general would be greatly appreciated too! Thank you so much again, stay safe and God Bless!

Anyway, you may check the R.A. 10029 (Psychology Act). Okay lang kahit anong Masters in Psych basta covered ang board courses na nirerequire ng Board of Psychology. Nasa Law na nabanggit ko earlier yung mga requirements na need ng Board of Psychology. 🌻😊♥️

Lagi akong nanonood ng videos about psychology, mula noong 8 years old ako and now I'm 15. I don't know kung bakit bigla ko nalang nagustuhan yung profession na'to. Minsan nag babasa ako ng mga books about psychology or sometimes nanonood ako ng documentaries about depression and anxiety.
And now i want to pursue this course, gusto ko pang pag aralan to para makatulong sa mga batang gaya ko. ♥️

sana magkaroon ng representationn sa congrress para lalong mapahalagahan ang mga psycologist, psychiatrist, at para maisulong din na sa public schools ay magkaroon ng mga psychologist at psychitrist lahat ng public schools, resident pychologist o psychiatrist na competent na sahod, sana pati na rin sa state university at colleges, para ISO standand lahat ng public schools at state college at university
I want to take BA Pyschology not bcoz of money. I just want to learn about human's behaviour. I want to become a performer artist, writer, and actress. And I know, I can, and I will try. I want to take BA for purpose. And offer it to people, bcoz I just want to be the light of hopeless outthere. I don't want to take a job related to the course but just wanna learn from it.

Currently taking BMLS (first week and I already dislike it cuz I never wanted to take BMLS) and I want to shift to AB Psychology for the second semester. Sir, I just want to thank you for the knowledge, you've shared especially about the profession. I've been very passionate about psychology ever since learning it from the youtube videos, I watched. It piqued my passion to thrive, that's why I choose HUMSS during my SHS years about to graduate this year. I'm having doubts, because like you said sir that psychology is not a profession that would you expect na mag bring sayu ng fame or fortune. However, regardless of that, I think that my passion is enough of a reason to justify my career and future.
I also like helping people and giving them advice about life. It gives me purpose to also learn about human behavior that adds to my personal values and morals. Thank you po. Akala ko naliligaw na ko ng landas hahaha. Gusto ko po kasi talaga psychologist. AB PSYCHOLOGY lang ang availablable sa school ko walang BS. STEM student po ako nung shs kasi gusto ng family engineering/computer related kahit HUMMS talaga ang dapat saakin at pinaka mataas sa NCae ko.
Nag BS IT din ako first sem (1st year college), pero eto na nga nag shift ako sa Psychology nung 2nd sem. Irregular student ako ngayon na nag susummer class po ngayon. Hopefully next school year ay back to regular student na po ako. 🙏 Hahaha

Hello, dear! Naturals Sciences (Biology, Chem) ang marami sa BS Psych. Both AB and BS Psych ay madaming Maths (especially Statistics - the advanced ones), because full of Research courses ang field na Psychology. As for your next question, after grad madaming opportunities sa Psych kasi flexible degree siya. You can work in Clinical setting, Human Resource, and Schools. I think sa job hindi ka mahihirapan. Pwede rin sa abroad. But if you wanna pursue ang pagiging Psychometrician and Psychologist, then take all the Licensure Examinations. Nabanggit ko dito sa vlog ko and sa bagong upload na vlog ko. But you said po na same lang ang math sa BS and AB psych, pero may napanuod po akong vlog na mas marame ang math nang BS compared to AB daw po nahihirapan po ako :(( and btw po im gonna take humss in shs.
Maraming NATURAL sciences sa BS than AB. Almost same lang sa Mathematics. Expect mo ang Statistics and Research. Ako rin di ako ganun kagaling sa Maths, pero kinaya ko parin. Kaya mo din yan. 🌻🌻🌻

My tita has a mental health problem (she's bipolar) and ya. I really want to take this course but I'm thinking about the expenses. Grade 10 student here.
Siguro depende sa school lalo na kung mahal din ang fees for labs. Sa books ka mag-invest and sa patience. Reading reading reading walang katapusang reading ito. 🌻
As of now im a Grade 10 student, at magiging senior high this year. Ive always wanted to help people get through their depression and help with their mental problems because i have experienced this pretty much everyday. The feeling of having anxiety despite talking to people you know and cant get over your mistakes is the worst feeling ome must go through and i want to help those who experience the same problems ive been through. Although it is kinda scary that you might be payed less but psychology is a profession where you help people and the feeling of helping someone is much better than charging people because of money. This video gave me more inspiration to pursue this course and for once i have found someone that may have influenced my life in a greater scale, so Sir i thank you for making this video to help those who purse this course and inspire those who are interested in taking psychology.💖

More on scientific like research based ang STEM while ang HUMSS more on Education and Social Science pero i suggest humss if you want to study behaviour and cognitive science which is essential in psychology. But it all depends on which strand you want to pursue. Also, people who are clinically diagnosed with mental/psychological disorders can still enroll in the program but there is a requirement before you could take the Board Licensure for Psychologists that you should be mentally fit to practice the profession. I shifted from BS to AB kasi di ko talaga feel ang job na may natural science. If you want to do a different job like neurologist or more focused on the sciences, you can proceed to BS. But if you prefer na mag-focus more on human behavior, go for AB. Sorry if may mali dito sa explanation ko.

It can be pag nagtuloy ka for PhD in Psychology or Doctor of Psychology. Kailangan kasi siya for Specialization... like Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Assessment Psychology. At this point kinukuha ko palang siya.
