I love taking mine out to buy new outfits. I also play it either way if it's real or not, depends on the situation. if I'm not in the mood to have a conversation, I'll say the baby is sleeping and walk off. I bring an extra blanket to cover them. sometimes I bring 1 or 2 reborn with me.
I've watched a lot of these types of videos, because I have zero confidence to take a baby with me anywhere, even though I would like to and I know any of them would pass for real. Yours is the best one I've ever seen. You talked about some things that others seem to gloss over, such as feeling safer having a reason for having them with you and whether or not to correct people when they ask how old the baby is. I do have strong feelings about not wanting to ever lie to anyone, but the few times I've actually taken a baby out with me, it's come down to time and the situation like you said. I'm also super excited to see that you have a video about babywearing your reborn!!!!! I'm going to watch that one next!!! We don't have a car, and a stroller is really impractical for me for many reasons, so babywearing is my best option and I love the feeling of having them snuggled up close. :)

I had my baby in the car seat covered by a blanket the whole time and people would try and peek in and I would like run away because I didn't know what to say.
I also think a good tip is have them covered:) that way when someone asks and wants to take a peak just use the excuse they’re sleeping and “I’d let you take a peak but they’re getting to sleep or just fell asleep and gets fussy.” And maybe have a picture on your phone of a real baby even if it’s one of you when you were younger or a son, daughter, niece, nephew, cousin etc as a backup as some people can be persistent:) Your tips were great and I’m definitely starting to feel more comfortable with trying to take one out x

We only live once so do what you like :)

Great tips!! It depends who I'm talking to on an outing on whether or not I tell them Bella's real or not? Right now I go along w/her age which tomorrow the 9th she'll be 8 months!! Lately I've just let people think she's real, bcause I don't always feel like explaining the reason why. I have PTSD & she does wonders for me but recently my Mom has said that Bella helps her too!! We've had a lot of bad stuff happened to us & everyday is a battle to get through. My Aunt understands why I have her but not the full reason of the hobby. Mom & I took #BellaBoo on a lot of outings during the holidays & spoiled her for her 1st Xmas!! She now has her own closet of clothes & stuff!! We live in housing right now & my room has 2 small closets which I just cleaned out the one for her stuff!! Bought baby hangers at Walmart & hung up her clothes!! So we're enjoying her & this hobby a lot!! It's a healing process for us, we take it one day at a time!!

To build confidence, put baby in a carseat and put a cover over it. That way nobody is the wiser

If my neighbors can walk their dogs while they push their cats in a stroller, I think I will be able to overcome and walk with my Reborn.
Also my hole family juges me ... And so I don’t bring her out of my room 😔
