It's so funny how every reviewer trying extra hard to bump up Pixel 9 devices and give crazy praises after Google openly announced that they'll cut ties with content creators if they are not biased towards Pixel phones. Imagine the outrage if Samsung or Apple did something. Anyway, the Pixel 9 camera is producing overprocessed images as always. I'd rather go for the Viva X100 Ultra or iPhone 15PM for a better camera experience. AI gimmicks aren't gonna persuade me.
Samsung is still king, too bad it won't get the credit it deserves cause it's South Korean, rather than an American product. Thanks for a wonderfully unbiased review. 🤝🏾
@dave6018 This review appreciated Pixels great photos. MKBHD doesn't have smart phone video test. iPhone wins best overall camera every year in his test. 😊
Infuriating Google has basically never touched Portrait mode in years. While Apple and Samsung continue to improve theirs yearly. Pretty much the primary reason I would rather not use Pixel as my main smartphone camera.
Samsung doesn't get enough credit. sometimes the Google is ok, the iPhone is ok where Samsung sits in the middle. consistency is what I'm looking for and Samsung delivered. loving my s24 and Im happy with what I chose. 😁
Samsung camera is consistently ok but it is the OS that is superior. The only up side of iphone is that Apple is an usa brand. -> Confession from my friends.
Only thing Samsung was worst at lack of details and overprocessed photos. Sometimes the photos literally cranked up the sharpening. Other than its good. I'd rank iPhone and pixel 50-50 while Samsung I will give 20
As a s24 u owner , I can safely say 80% of every scenario , eveyone , even 13 pro max , 14 pro max and 15 pro max user friends just end up posting the photos taken from my phone specially potraits on their social media😂 Have to give the credit where it's due , video Apple is still the boss
Google never fix the potrait into the competition The weird part is, they used to one of the best potrait when they only use 1 single lense, in 2xl and 3xl...But soon they added another lense, potrait shoot getting worse
I was really getting into the Pixel 9 Pro, but this video showed that it still has flaws that are annoying and that the s24u is the best choice even after 7 months. This convinced me to just wait for the s25u.
All of them seems good to me. Compare with the first digital cameras that was reliased in the early 2000 the phones today do a better job. Most of us only look at the pictures on the phone so the resolution and quality is more than enough I think. Gr8 vid!
Awesome video! Yes, please do a dedicated selfie-cam comparison in daylight and nighttime scenarios! My biggest gripe with Pixels is the extreme shutter lag for night pics and terrible quality with/without the front flash. I'd like to see how the new front sensor stacks up! Thanks!
Love Danny's reviews. Gotta say Samsung really stood out with clearer, 3d like, and overall pleasing pics. The saturation has been toned down just enough to retain the vibrancy as Eye Candy.
Thank u Danny. I always wait for your camera comparison before I take an opinion on which camera is better for my taste because u are the best.. Now im satisfied, perhaps waiting for nighttime comparison now for these 3 beast of a smartphone..
Dude Samsung literally oversaturated during the whole time and high res photos were inferior compared to 48 MP of iPhone despite having huge numbers. Details in photos what I want most
I noticed I prefer each phone depending on the photo. The pixel 9 tends to look more dark and muddy, but it nails some photos. I'd probably put the iPhone and s24 slightly ahead
To people saying Google is lagging behind the competition, what are you talking about? Pixel nails highlight control in every single shot. I love the fact you cannot take 1 bad picture with a Pixel (0 edits I mean). You cannot say that with the iPhone and Samsung. Happy Pixel 8 pro owner and believe me, I've owned S22 Ultra earlier and I cannot overstate how overblown and smoothed the highlights and details are from Samsung cameras!
The Pixel wins the blind test every year on different channels. You can adjust the blur after you take the picture on the Pixel. I use dedicated cameras and WB is preference. Pixel was more consistent. The S24 white balance can get way off sometime. Also at the beginning the video looked better on the Pixel. When zooming on video the iPhone and Samsung were softer, loss of detail pixel had some artifacting.
I appreciate the effort that went into making this video. I'm surprised the ultra looked better in most of the pictures, it eas consistently the best. Got a sub from me. 👍
@8:43 samsung has that called Galaxy Enhance-X from the galaxy store. Highly recommended, i believe it's better than that of google's zoom enhance thingy... Edit: Galaxy Enhance-X is only available on high end galaxy smartphones and tablets.
The main lens on S24 ultra takes slightly over saturated pics but overall its more consistent across all the lenses. Iphone still remains king of video though.
I have always liked photos on the pixel. Overall, anyway I would always pick Samsung, pixel just has a slightly better photos in some cases, everything else is top notch on samsung.
Being in the market for my next phone and having a S21 ultra, I have to admit that Samsung is crushing it with the cameras. I was thinking to getting the iPhone but doubt the iPhone16 will change how darker the photos will usually come out compared to these two phones.
I bought the pixel 9 pro which will only be available in 5-6 weeks but I have to say, I prefer the pictures of the iPhone. Now I'm kinda regretting my purchase. As an olive skin toned, I hate that the pixel makes everything look pink/red
The problem with the Pixel's HDR pipeline is that it flickers. Yes it does capture the best dynamic range and preserve highlights, but at the cost of flickering a lot of the time. Probably because it is flicking between 2 exposures and saving them together but is slightly lagging behind the refresh rate or shutter speed. You notice it really bad when there are lights in the scene, like neon signs. I'd say on the whole the anti aliasing isn't good either. Galaxy looks the best to me
Did a great job on ur comparison (as always 😎) This is the prominent channel i would recommend to anyone if they want a grt detailed cam comparison . Really appreciate ur work man !!!🙃
yes darker shadows while saving highlights is important to me it's easy to turn up shadows by editing and also pixel setting has the shadow setting separately anyway but once highlights are clipped, well.. almost always bye bye details one thing P9Pro/XL should fix is that white balance that would go too cool at times
Nice video. i would love to see the camera comparison of these with xiaomi 14 ultra too on how that holds up with these flagship camera with AI integration
Google's leading in a lot of areas with its camera, and I really like the flatter look they're now applying for their standard shots, but portrait mode has been the worst by far for quite some time. The bad cut outs have been a thing for as long as I can remember. I also feel its faux bokeh is the least natural looking of all the major players with harsh fall off. I never use portrait mode on my Pixel 6 because it just generally looks terrible. I think this is an area Google needs to fix but I'm sure they're aware. I won't be surprised if a big update arrives at some point but it feels like it's been a long time now where it's been neglected.
Great review, it seems the Galaxy s24 is the most constantly performing phone, but you can't go wrong with the other two either. If Google fix the portrait mode there is no real major difference between all three.
When it comes to natural and accurate colours pixel and iphone comes out the best ones and when it comes to edited photos and boosted colours samsung nailed there😊
When I first got my Pixel 8 Pro, I noticed that its zoom on the moon looked ok but not perfect but when the zoom enhance came out, the moon photos I took were amazing.
I appreciate the quick review, to be honest Apple's dynamic range is very good, I think Samsung's is consistent, Pixel's seems to have a bad color palette in some scenes, at the end of the day it wouldn't be wrong to say that all 3 phones will make you happy, huh?
while portrait mode is disappointing on P9, can you compare with P8 series? just wondering if this is another victim of unfinished and rushed release on camera app.
Accurate or not, the S24 is the most aesthetically pleasing overall in most of these in my opinion. Maybe not in every scene, but you can edit things in post much of the time to fix some of the issues. iPhone and Pixel take the cake in some of these shots for sure, but overall the S24 seems to generally look better.
Dude oversharpening doesn't mean more details. Its has the most oversaturated and oversharpened photos. And the fact is both iPhone and Google's 48 and 50 MP camera gives more detail than 200 MP fake Samsung camera
Hi I'm trying to choose between the Galaxy S24 and Pixel 9 for my father. He needs a compact phone with good battery life that’s fast and doesn’t lag. He mainly uses it for calling, WhatsApp, and email. He also has a lot of contacts, and his WhatsApp tends to lag because of this, so I want to make sure that won’t happen with the new phone. Which one would you recommend? Thanks!

What settings is everyone using for the S24U. I just purchased one and no matter what settings I use, the post processing is killing all of my photos.
