    Congratulations to BORI to come to our doorstep.A full course type such series on Vedanta was essential for those interested in Indian Philosophy but who are not reguler students . This initiative should NEVER be stopped .

    I just discovered your channel am so deeply honoured to hear these exlanations. Kindly explain all the upnishads. I a reminded of Schopenhauer who would have certainly applauded your efforts. I think schools should have a mini introductory course on the upanishads.
    Children have no idea about these beautiful texts and they are such a treasure trove of knowledge, that this must be made mandatory not as religious texts but as tools of self discovery.

    Note - During the lecture while speaking on the subject of levels of consciousness the speaker has inadvertently mentioned the source to be the Mundaka Upanishad. Kindly note that the source is "Manduky Upanishad".

      There are no levels of consciousness, there is only one consciousness, but the difference is our experience levels and during all those experiences, consciousness is same as Turiya

      Such a clearcut explanation how can go waste? If one is in negative outlook none can help. Posives imbibe and from negative also if we treat in healthy point of view nothing will be waste. Even in our mundane life if black is not how can one see white? Can one's intellect work without discrimination?

      @@austin426512 I agree with your comment. However, sopaadhika-chaitanya can afford to have levels also, as we experience them. Rather, four states of consciousness may be more appropriate. The nirupaadhika-chaitanya cannot be discussed either.

    Interesting and welcome talk. But I'd hope that, in modern times, organisers of such discourse, which highlight our ancient intuitions and wisdoms, make an attempt to juxtapose these with modern scientific knowledge. That may help draw closer the two dichotomous branches of seeking - Science and Religion. Such an attempt will be unique and has the potential to set the trend for a new kind of inquiry, which can illuminate the minds of many - who would otherwise may not be able to connect the past with the present.

    The grand epic of Mahabharata is one of the foundational heritages of India. For the Bhandarkar Institute, our work on the Mahabharata is a vital aspect of our legacy.       Check out the Vedanta New York channel on TH-cam, particularly videos from Swami Sarvapriyananda (for instance, on Gaudapada's Mandukya Karika or Drk-Drysa-Viveka if you want something simpler).

    I consider Sri Adi Shankara’s period is during before BC. This is what Kanchi mutt has established.

      But, I don't think that dating is accepted by Sringeri Mutt supposed to be established by Sri Adi Shankara, which dates his timeline to be around 8th century AD. Very difficult to establish the accurate dating of Sri Shankaracharya but we can be sure he came later on after Buddha's time.

    When expounding in English i humbly request please use bharathiya words for terms like hymns which connotate a different meaning

    Even though the video is very good.the ads in between are ugly.can you please restrict such ads.
