Q. How to make a well planned Indian city? A. Not one city in india can compare to cities of other asian countries or Europe. Instead of building atrocious crap we should go for classical designs like Greco roman , indo sarcasenic, rajputi style , mughal , gothic architecture. Good to see someone has understood this issue in India and made a video. I completely agree with your findings. We build infrastructure and buildings and try to call it world class. However, on a closer look, we see lack of finishing, poor execution and poor maintenance. Just compare the buildings, roads of India with that of any developed country and then you can spot the difference. India can do it, for example, there are so many malls that look really world class. Why can't we have such finishing and beauty in other infrastructure? Landscaping is also where we lack a lot.

Yes . The Indian parliament interior is good but the exterior is just bland and tasteless. Looks like a triangular prison . Instead they should have made huge pillars , grand Rajasthani style windows, engraved apsaras and animals in the exterior wall it would have magnificent. The only good example of modern Indian government architecture is Karnataka Vidhan soudha
I understand that their is a difference between the design and construction but the constructed buildings doesn't look that bad either. It's not bad it's ATROCIOUS. We as a nation are a failure in building modernist architecture. Instead of building atrocious crap we should go for classical designs like Greco roman , indo sarcasenic, rajputi style , mughal , gothic architecture. It's very elegant , grand and symmetrical in nature so it will be easy to build for our third rated builder's

I visited Chaina recently.I am not being blind deshbhakt sorry for that they are way ahed of us.Government buildings are so advance there roads are too clean and i can say there is less corruption than our country.You wouldn't believe how harmonious the country is.The people there never spit here and there like our gutkha habit.I can even say China is a developed country not developing.

Good to see someone has understood this issue in India and made a video. I completely agree with your findings. We build infrastructure and buildings and try to call it world class. However, on a closer look, we see lack of finishing, poor execution and poor maintenance. Just compare the buildings, roads of India with that of any developed country and then you can spot the difference. India can do it, for example, there are so many malls that look really world class. Why can't we have such finishing and beauty in other infrastructure? Landscaping is also where we lack a lot.

It is problem of government rendering will cost only few crores but actual building will cost too much money than the allotted after repeated tenders govt will settle for whatever they can do at allotted amount for example Delhi railway station redevelopment alloted amount is 4500cr but lowest bid was 8700cr then govt dismissed the bidding. And again issued tenders with same amount but less square feet
