      @@jahnl4906 I didn't enlighten you, I contradicted you. Can you handle enlightenment? A hard-core meth-head lives to get high and steal until death. Arresting her arrests that downward spiral. What you published seems to make her ability to continue as a meth-head drug dealer as her decision and her right, why you say she should disown him. As far as praying for someone you obviously admire, Jesus of Nazareth said you should pray for your enemies. He said it's futile to pray for yourself because God would have it to you already if He thought you needed it. I could go on about what life is all about, but I'll agree with you right away that life isn't that deep because it's getting cheap, and yes, it's world news that makes it look that way. As for prayer, I always have to comment when I see self-righteous people using it and talking about it in self-serving ways. Jesus of Nazareth said to pray for your enemies. He said if you pray for yourself it's futile, because if God wanted you to have something He would have given it to you already. I don't see God in this sense as being a supernatural deity looking at you as an individual, but being the environment, the life around you, what you are born into, as being what you need. @little pookie, she is a human being, who is fallible, just like the rest of us. She messed up, and now she has to endure the negative consequences of her illegal acts, and hopefully while she’s serving her sentence for the crimes she committed, she will hear the gospel of Christ and understand there is a God who forgives us imperfect, fallible humans. His name is YHVH, and He made Himself manifest to the world when He became incarnate in the Lord Jesus Christ, the visible image of the invisible God, Colossians 1:15. I pray for the Holy Spirit to have mercy upon her, and convict her of her sins, so that she repents and turns to Christ and receives Him as her Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ is the only one who can transform the ungodly into the godly, because only God can give us a new heart and a renewed mind, that transforms us from within. When we are regenerated through faith in Christ, God puts new desires in our heart, and He takes away our desires for sinful things. A regenerated Christian will bear fruits of the work of God’s Holy Spirit in transforming them day by day to be more like Christ, and to have the same mercy and kindness towards our fellow man as our Lord Jesus Christ has towards us. I pray for God’s mercy upon others, because I know how much I need His mercy as well. It’s the knowledge of how far I fall short of God’s sinless perfection that caused me to realize how much I needed Jesus Christ as my Savior, for Him to take the wr@th for my sins, and by faith He clothes me in His righteousness, the righteousness of God that does not come by keeping the Law, but only by faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross, and His resurrection the 3rd day. Jesus Christ paid it all, He paid for our pardon from sin with His precious bIood, the bIood of God, on the cross. Our Heavenly Father YHVH has given us only one way to be reconciled to Him, and that’s through His visible image, His Son, Jesus Christ, and believing on the shed bIood of Christ as the full atonement for our sins, receiving God’s mercy, forgiveness, and indwelling Holy Spirit, by faith. If we want God to have mercy upon us for all the wrongs we have done in life, then we should desire Him to have that same mercy and grace He’s shown us upon other sinners who are still lost. Salvation is a gift from YHVH, and it can’t be earned by any works, because our flesh is fallen, which means all our works of the flesh are fallen too. Imperfect humans can’t be justified by the Law, because God demands sinless perfection in keeping the Law, and fallen beings can’t do any works to earn salvation, because the work of redemption was finished on the cross. If we believe on Jesus Christ as our Savior, then we also believe that our sins were judged on the cross of Christ, and Christ’s resurrection the 3rd day showed the Father has accepted the sinless bIood of Christ as the atonement for the sins of all who believe on Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and we have been reconciled back to our Heavenly Father from the moment we believe on Christ as our Savior. We should desire the same mercy for all.

She would however never turn me or any of my siblings in, This is entirely due to her first hand experience with police and their capacity to manipulate situations, manufacture charges, and basically act with impunity and without accountability, not because she's an evil person of even anti-police. When a small town sheriff and 4 deputies kick down your front door at 4am with a warrant for my mother over, and I swear on my very soul I am not lying here, unreturned library books, because my mother didn't want to testify in a domestic violence case between my neighbors it has a lasting impression on those being victimized and even her kids watching it happen.

    I recently discovered that my nephew was raided FIVE TIMES in upstate N.Y. for felony distribution of narcotics, and each time, my sister posted bail, and he went RIGHT BACK to dealing, (right under the county's nose). My only guess is that he's selling drugs to county law enforcement, and to county employees, judges, etc. Right now he's out on $50,000 cash bail, and I am absolutely 100% certain that he is still dealing. His trial is coming up in a month, and I plan to be sitting in the front row in the courtroom. When I told my sister that I had reported everything that I discovered to the DEA, she threatened me. She is divorced, her ex is a druggie, our parents are dec'd., I am the eldest of three siblings, now head of the family.

      Be careful, money and drugs makes people cold. I wouldn't be so honest with her. You sound like a good ethical person but your relatives are not and there appears to be corruption in your town, unfortunately as in a lot of places. If you are going to monitor and report them, do it behind the scenes. And I say this as a therapist that works with addicts, as well as personally once having neighbors that were terrorizing the neighborhood and breaking many laws, and when people reported them they received retaliation. I had a legal benefit through work and hired a lawyer to communicate with thier landlord so we could stay anonymous but he didn't care and nothing came of it. Natural consequences eventually led to things calming down. Good luck and I am sorry for your situation. I hope you have good objective support away from the situation.

      @hemera16 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@spe3173 It's his job to enforce the law. Unfortunately in small towns like his there are no drug courts or diversionary programs. Rather drug programs are offered during incarceration. Drug addictions especially meth is particularly complex to treat as it changes the structures within the brain that does not necessarily manifest in physical ailments, as seen with opiates. The mental and cognitive repercussions can last several years, this includes apathy and depression which can often drive a former user to relapse, despite long-term sobriety. Unfortunately, the lack of accessibility to effective long-term treatment leads into this vicious cycle of incarceration, addiction and criminal activity.

It's hard to do because meth withdrawal isn't as relatively straightforward as cocaine or heroin withdrawal, not that either of those are a piece of cake whatsoever.
