I hate to tell you, but it all goes by quick! K-8 seems like a long time but you look up and suddenly it's gone. HS is a blur! As someone that's looking at being an empty-nester, I'm still trying to figure out what happened. But every stage is an adventure and I wouldn't trade it for anything 😊 Hair is beautiful, can't wait to see the takedown 😉
Your hair looks great! Yes, motherhood is definitely a constant journey, and it never ends. There are phases that go by faster than others. So enjoy every moment/phase.
This is why I love the vides where Jenn shares her journey of motherhood. Im a mom of a 2 year old and still struggling to transition because people would say its just a phase things will return back to normal. Im super grateful for you sharing your truth, it makes me feel like I am not alone. It makes me feel like its going to be okay, that I am going to be okay.
Don’t forget to take care of yourself and take regular time to do what you love….that is the best passageway through motherhood… Give her your love and don’t be judgemental about your mothering skills.
Jenn, this is a cycle that will continue as your daughter continues to grow. Lol, my eldest started college two years ago, but it took an entire year for it to sink in. I mean, I just couldn't believe that she is in college, yes you will be emotional during those times of change. You are a terrific mom, both of you are beautiful and your mini twists are gorgeous.
What a cutie--you are so blessed! Glad for you that you are processing your life and experiences...it helps!!! And luuuuuuuv the twists; they are like micro for sure--you GO GIRL!!! I just did minis last night. Took 3 hrs and 20 mins..but whoooo now i get 3 weeks off--just keep the scalp and hair moisturized and all good! Ion wash my hair in them tho...
Jenn....I see the depression I felt when I had my first child in you... Hugs* She will get older and it will get better in other ways and hard in some.... I am struggling...its hard...its okay...
Mini twists are better than mini braids when it comes to take down (as long as you didn't get them wet while you had them in) because all you have to do is the pinch and slide open and they just come right apart. They look good! The flat twists in the front were definitely a good idea.
Acceptance and embrace have been my words since having my daughter. She is two and I still feel lost in this mommy world at times lol. Giving in and accepting takes the pressure off for sure! However, it changes day to day😂😢 Regardless, they are the most beautiful blessings and we wouldn’t have evolved into the beautiful beings we have become without them! My daughter’s teacher said that she can tell things are structured and there is routine because of how well she’s adapted to school in the last few months. This really touched me and made me proud because half the time I have no idea of I’m doing IT right. It’s ALOT! But, no matter what just know you are who and where you’re supposed to be, and she’s getting all she needs from you❤
Hey Jenn, I've been following the controversy with the no oils and no butters situation. I would like more specifics on why you said that you will most likely damage your hair if you do wash and gos back to back. For example, if someone is doing wash n gos back to back and using a leave-in and deep conditioning (correcting some of the mistakes that seem to be the culprits in the damage that some have experienced) do you still think that they will most likely experience damage? Like, are you saying that just the act of constant wash and gos is damaging? If so, what do you think is the source of the inevitable damage? Sorry for the long question. That statement just really intrigued me and I wanted you to elaborate.
Rewatch! Been meaning to ask you as I'm starting this micro twists thing;you said you wash them before taking them out. Like shampoo and condition them without undoing them? If so interesting. Please explain. 😊
Jenn your question who am I ? This is always an interesting question. My children are a daughter aged 26 married and has a daughter aged 7 and I have a son who is 24. Whew!!!! This time went so fast. Too fast. I was just like you when they were growing up. I use to get emotional at the thought of them growing up and experiencing them growing up was emotional a lot bc they were growing up. I homeschooled them until high school. I was a stay at home mom and I still felt like I missed out. They are 17 months apart and grew up well together. I always called them the “ little people” It’s funny bc my daughter never napped. It is important to acknowledge children are their own person ❤ How I have always approached your question of who am I is by saying I’m more than my mothers daughter, my children’s mother, my little brothers big sister, my husband’s wife. I know that inside myself. My spirit is there without these labels. I’m more than those labels. Now that my kids are grown I want to be honest and say that at this point I am in a HUGE transition since my daughter marrying 2 years ago and my son joining the military 5 months ago. I have no children small or grown at home anymore. I do take a lot of time for self care reading, journaling, cooking, baking, creating tea blends. Watching TH-cam 😊 I am here for your journey it’s awesome to watch. ❤ You are doing so well. You’re giving your baby girl the best of you and guess what. It’s more than enough. To our kids we are everything which is so nice.
I've been trying to figure out the missing ingredient for my twists/mini twists! My mini twists (all my twists, really) get super tangled, regardless of how much I detangle as I go or whether I start from wet hair or air-dried hair. It makes untwisting them a nightmare--my hair constantly gets stuck on itself and I have to be extra careful to not pull it out while untwisting. I don't borrow hair (anymore). I haven't seen anyone in the videos I watch address this problem! You're the one that turned me onto not borrowing hair, and I thought that was gonna be the answer! Am I making sense? Am I doing something wrong? Is it just the way my hair is?
Is it weird that idk baby’s name? Like I know I watch this channel religiously but idk her name. Or maybe I don’t watch it as religiously as I think?? Guys if u do, plz remind me
And just when you think you've figured it out, our kids grow up, and our lives change all over again.
OMG STOPPP I just can't lol
I'm warning you now, so you won't say nobody told you.😂
I'm not a mom but I do agree with the importance of accepting that we do evolve instead of trying to hold on to who or how we used to be. ❤
I hate to tell you, but it all goes by quick! K-8 seems like a long time but you look up and suddenly it's gone. HS is a blur! I came here to say the same thing.
