@@j-69 yeah he lost to Gael too . It all depends on whether he uses his arrow attack , which is RNG . Gael on the othet hand , fucking tanked Aldritch's arrows, and only lost to Midir in the entire game. Midir won by a sliver of health too

The teleporting saved them at the end, that laser would have flattened them if they hadn’t teleported around the demon.
I mean MOST of the dark souls bosses aren't even 30% of their original strength, Lorian was fucking crippled and adding to that he lost lots of his swordsmanship strength. His hypothetical prime would have blitzed us.

I get PTSD from that Weapon art. It's a gankers dream. When you're trying to get stuff from covenants without farming, it's a nightmare, especially for Aldrich faithful
So Dragonslayer was the first to actually kill the demon prince, Aldrich had the op arrows and Yhorm huge health and fire immunity, Dragonslayer did it legit, massive respect.
And also that lore accurate fight with Lorian, damn that was cool.
Lore wise only the storm ruler can fell Yhorm but of course there are some in game things like Aldrich's arrow storm that can kill him. Yhorm is a Lord of Cinder that Aldrich and Sulyvahn left alone for a reason, because in lore they knew better than to fuck with him.

Anything can kill him (hence why he takes damage even without stormruler), it’s just that the power of the storm is especially useful against him.
Well... Logically, it should be effective against everyone, not just giants, but eh.
Also, we are never told in any way that either pontiff or Aldrich gave a damn about Yhorm, so them leaving him alone doesn’t really mean anything.

To be fair, the arrows isn't really Aldrich attack, it's Gwendolyn's attack. If I'm not mistaken, most of Aldrich attack were taken from Gwendolyn...

The yhorm fight looked like it was gonna be an epic duel until you remember that yhorm is immune to fire
It was also very satisfying to watch Dragonslayer essentially do a “You Shall Not Pass!” as the final kill move
Imagine how easy the fight wouldve been for lorian if he was still standing up
I doubt it was easy for Lorian to take down the Prince, even in his prime.

This is the first boss for whom I've noticed that the arena really affects how effective they are, which is highlighted specifically in the Dragonslayer Armour fight. If DP had the room to fly about and keep his distance from the DSA, I reckon he would have won. But in the relatively confined DSA arena, DSA stuck close and staggered him for the win.
That or dragonslayer would have still mopped floor with him considering I’ve witnessed dragonslayer beat midir before on bonfireVN’s channel. But really we don’t know till it’s been done right?

The deacons arena is also an example of this, in a vid that showed all the bosses fighting them, some of them where stuck behind the pillars

Those fucking arrows. It really shows you that Havel is a goddamn beast, cause he survived TWO rounds of Adlrich's arrows. Yet Prince got annihilated in a second.

Yeah every arrow has an individual hit box and damage, due to his size he got hit by every individual attack.
I love how strong the DLC bosses are against most other bosses (even when you scale up their HP to match the DLC boss) but at the same time it's great to see how some bosses' gimmicks are so dangerous they can just shit on the DLC boss anyway (Aldrich scoring a fucking "perfection" on Demon)
I wonder how good he'd do against Yhorm if Yhorm wasn't immune to fire.
He would get him to at least 60% but still yhorm is king of all bosses

EDIT: Can you specify that this is the Demon Prince from Below in the title/description?
EDIT2: I like it how in some of these gauntlets, Vordt dies way faster than Iudex. Here, Iudex lasted for about 30 seconds, and Vordt was gone in 23 (0:42 to 1:04), thanks to Demon Prince exploiting his fire vulnerability.
EDIT3: 1:30 to 1:38 was so cool!
EDIT4: Demon Prince is so brutal vs. the Deacons, especially from 3:10 to 3:30
EDIT5: The battle vs. Abyss Watchers is mostly notable for Prince's horrific aim. With ODK battle, I mostly just appreciate how seamlessly Demon Prince fits in that location.
EDIT6: At 7:28 , I find it interesting that unlike literally every other battle involving Pontiff, he did *not* charge forward halfway through and instead continued to slowly walk up to Demon Prince the entire distance. I guess this was the one time he felt a kindred spirit, or something.
EDIT7: LMAO at 8:50 ! Literally nothing else to say about that!
EDIT8: Dancer and Oceiros went basically exactly as expected. Gundyr fought better than I expected, largely aided by Prince's regular misses in that arena, but it wasn't enough.
EDIT9: Demon Prince vs. Dragonslayer Armour was excellent! The moment from 17:20 to 17:30 was so cinematic! Congratulations to Armour for taking the win even without Butterflies' help!
EDIT10: The Battle of Princes went much like expected, but was still pretty cool. The battle with Soul of Cinder at first just made me wonder at the incongruency of it taking so much damage from the flames while Yhorm was unharmed. It looked like the Prince would just walk to victory for a while, but after missing a lot on the Gwyn phase, the battle became tense again, and the final minute of the battle at 23:00 was pure awesomeness!
