Green and Purple Megs always took me as a leader showing tribute to his most valuable warriors, the Constructicons, and wearing the logo's colors as a means of being "one of the soldiers - among the soldiers".
I'm a little late in the comments I know but I wanted to see if there's a better way to make the shoulder Cannon for Megatron. Me, I just simply use the Cliffjumper sniper gun. I turned Cliffjumper gun into a hammer . I remove the back portion of the sniper gun. Put the makeshift hammer on the back of Megatron's right shoulder Peg hole. You want it to look like a mini cannon peeking over Megatron's right shoulder. Plug in the tank turret using the peg that doesn't swivel on the inside of the turret on to the Hammer. And there you have a pretty decent looking G2 Megatron shoulder Cannon . At least for me it looks okay
@Ni Stuff so ratfink was big in the 80's and early 90's as a sub culture and Ed Roth the creator of ratfink was super into toys as he did that ratfink turbo tank with Kenner Toys. I am still guessing, but I would bet that G2 megatron was an homage to that original ratfink turbo tank toy. I haven't seen anything verifying that but it would fit the narrative.
It still cracks me up how half-assed and slapped together that Beast Wars 2 toyline was. Unused for the American show BW toys: check. Ummm, how about some Machine Wars while we're at it: check. Okay we need a few more big figures though: how about G2 Megatron and G1 Trypticon? CHECK! Somehow that clearly rushed cartoon had more love put into it than the toyline 🤣
G2 Megatron is I am very certain in a three way tie with Combiner Wars Megatron and 2007/movie 1 leader class Brawl in being the all time physically largest tank Transformers figure ever made.
my friend found a way to use gen select’s fusion cannon, sword, and wfc cliffjumper’s gun to make this surprisingly accurate shoulder cannon and i copied it using a constructbots part. it’s horrendous but only because it works.
@@krZabii i actually bought a very small kit on ebay to use the fusion cannon as a shoulder cannon but my friends method works slightly better for accuracy and i already had all the pieces so it was free

I picked up the grey megs version of the TR voyager to customise into Leader-1. Should probably finish that up sometime.
