For the second well expansion, a reamer with a diameter 900 mm was used.
Horizontal directional drilling (HDD) is a safe method of installing an underground pipeline.

Можно предварительное расширение сделать без наворачивание штанг, время и силы терять.

Может случиться так, что вперед не пойдет расширитель. Застрянет и его надо будет вытягивать назад.

Без штанг опасно: если случится нестандартная ситуация, тогда чем вытягивать инструмент? Штанги в этом случае как страховка

Может я чего путаю но обратная плеть не должна вращаться.

Там всего 2 штанги было, возможно вертлюг не прокручивался из за малой массы. Может когда нарастили, то перестало вращаться.
