😊 my sister got me Angel en Provence Rosemary shampoo and conditioner from Costco. It is INCREDIBLE!! My hair has grown to my tailbone. And it's so thick and silky shiny. I get compliments all the time now. And I'm just about to turn 46 and my hair has never looked better. 😊 xox ❤
that is amazing! Thanks for the recommendation!!
I usually wash my long hair once a week and I have fine slightly wavy hair. I make my own dry shampoo with a mixture of black or regular cocoa (I have very dark brown hair) and cornstarch sifted together. I put it an old repurposed face powder container or spice shaker with a lid and shake some into the lid then swirl a large powder brush into it, tap it off and dab it onto my roots. I have no need to buy dry shampoo anymore. Saves me a fortune lol. When I wash I follow with conditioner (I like coconut based oils in my hair products because my hair is so dry). I am 49 and spent half of my 40’s with tape in extensions while I grew out my hair from a bob. Now it’s longer than my extensions so I took them out. From having them though and having to remove them and wash out adhesives I found an overnight coconut oil scalp treatments helped me tremendously. I then washed with a baking soda paste and ACV. It really clarified but didn’t strip my hair. I think I may go back to doing this treatment every month or so. I also use a good quality leave in conditioner after I wash. I stopped blow drying or using any heat on my hair at all. I have been struggling with some hair loss the last few years due to some life and dietary changes (and stress) so I’m trying to avoid washing as much. I do spend a lot of time in the sun though so I suspect that may be damaging my hair as it’s been getting dry, split ends much quicker lately. I am also trying to remember to work some hair oil into my ends when I feel my hair needs it and I love to put my hair up at night for heatless curls and volume the next day. Otherwise I braid it which helps keep it from breaking as much as well. My blow dryer and curling wand are gathering dust and I’m not mad about it. Great tips in this video. I will pick up a hair mask to add to my routine. I think that will help a lot. I used to use those as well but I stopped when I moved last due to lack of space where I moved to so I tossed a lot of my toiletries and that was one of them. 😮I use a wet brush but used to use a loop brush when I had extensions. I went to sulfate free products a decade ago luckily so I’m happy with that.
@@Happy2Run4Me wow this is amazingly awesome. You need your own hair channel to make hair videos!!.Your attention to detail is incredible! Being in the sun, just add some cute hats and scarves, etc., would be my only comment. Sounds like you’re def on the right track for your hair ❤️thanks for commenting this for us!
At 57, my hair is in great shape. It is soft, shiny, and has no split ends. My hair is fine, high density, and low porosity. While I have a good deal of silver, my hair is ash blonde, and the silver legit looks like highlights.
I use 3 different oils I mix up myself. The first is for my scalp and roots. I use this an hour or so before shampooing, along with massaging my scalp. I massage my scalp every day. The second is an all over conditioning oil I apply about 12 hours before shampooing. The third is lightweight, and I apply it to just the ends after washing. As for washing, I shampoo on Mondays and Thursdays. I use a clarifying shampoo, a mask once a week, a conditioner on the day I don't use a mask, and a leave-in conditioner. I never blow dry or heat style. I never use elastic bands. I never color my hair or have any other chemical processes. I use a satin pillowcase and lightly twist my hair and clip it up before bed. I use a microfiber towel, and never rub or buff my hair with it. I finger detangle after towel drying, then use a wide tooth comb or bamboo bristle brush, and start at the ends and work up, but honestly, that is just to smooth and tidy it, as it rarely tangles.
If the roots need a boost, I will put my hair up in a loose ponytail on top of my head until it dries.
My hairdresser says I need trims only once a year, if that, because of the lack of split ends.
There are all sorts of expensive oils one can buy to keep the ends subtle and prevent them from.splitting, but honestly, canola oil works great for that. You can look it up online. My end conditioning oil is made up of canola, jojoba, grapeseed, and apricot kernal oil.
Since I only shampoo twice a week, I don't mind taking extra time oiling and using a mask and such.
For those who worry that less frequent shampooing will cause hair to look greasy, arrowroot powder works great. I use a makeup powder brush and dab the arrowroot powder at the roots, leave it for a few minutes, and then brush it out.
Thank you this is a very helpful video! You are a great instructor! I just had stem cell transplant and experienced a lot of hair loss. Any special products you recommend for hair growth
@@marylynnburns7284 wow that’s amazing, and thanks for the great compliment….as far as hair growth stuff, I haven’t seen for myself any hard research that shows that hair growth products work. Some people swear by things and others like doctors, etc, insist it’s all smoke and mirrors. One thing I did see results with was castor oil on my lashes. It def helped with fullness for me. Sorry I can’t in good faith recommend anything in that area. But thanks for watching I’m happy you enjoyed the video ❤️
Hi, just found your channel and I think it’s great so I immediately subscribed to it. Also question about the hair mask and leaving in conditioner. Do I shampoo my hair before applying the hair mask or do I just wash it with water and apply the hair mask and then leaving in conditioner afterwards? Thanks ✨ 🌸
@@carlahabib1768 great question-
Just use your hair mask instead of your regular conditioner AFTER shampooing.
Then after you get out of the shower you can towel dry your hair gently( I prefer microfiber towels for this they are gentler than a regular towel- a t shirt works great too!) THEN apply your leave in conditioner
Hope that helps and thanks so much for watching and subbing! ❤️
Love the info. A lot of the same products I would love to see a list of all the products you use. I cannot find it in your description and also I’m new to your channel. I would love to have that list that you mentioned on the skin reset! I think she called it. Thank you. Look forward to more videos. God bless you and have a wonderful day.
Skincare is a pain in my butt. I keep trying to find the right products.
I have everything linked in my amazon store in the description…hope this helps! And yes if you click the link for the skin reset guide you are automatically added to my newsletter and you can download the guide for free! It's a great basic guideline to start getting your skin in shape from dehydration, irritation, etc. I hope you like the guide and thanks so much for watching, and if you can share my video I would love that!! As a small TH-camr it means SO MUCH - as it's hard building a channel alongside Mega channels with thousands of subscribers ...So thanks.
I am 54. I use epres. Then wash with golwell dualsenses bond pro system. Then living proof for ten minutes. I also make my own rosemary oil do this once per week before washing. I wash Twice a week. I do k18 on the other wash once a week.. my hair is waist long.
This is so rad. Waist length hair I am so jealous!! Can you share your oil recipe? It sounds so good!
@jenniferchristopherson I will get back to you with ingredients. My mom lost her hair bald at back .now she has hair, with the rosemary oil once a week and does the water every night with massage to scalp. I'm at my mom's right now so don't have recipe to hand.
@jenniferchristopherson 3- 5 sprigs rosemary. 1/4 cup avocado oil. 2tsp jojobaoil. 2tsp sweet almond oil. 1tsp argon oil
10 drops peppermint oil
10 drops lavender oil
1 tsp vitamin e oil
2tsp castor oil
Combine rosemary and avocado oil over double boiler. Bring mixture to simmer. Cover for 20- 40 minutes on low.
Let it cool. Strain. Then add other oils. Store in airtight container for 2 weeks with sprig of rosemary.
Massage into scalp once per week leave in for 1- 4 hrs. Do not sleep in it.
Put coconut oil on ends of hair. Not scalp. It will clog pores. Put shower cap on and wrap in town to heat head.
Wash hair twice to remove oil. Condition as usual.

Skincare is a pain in my butt. I keep trying to find the right products.
I also would like to know some of your hair dry and tips blow dry is not really an option for me. I have hair down to my waist and it is very complicated. Try to try your hair but that also when my hair hair dries, I have a lot more and curls and waves, and I like that.
@@RhondaSummers-w2r this is so sweet thank you! I put a link to my Amazon store in the description and I added all the products I talk about in this video in there. But- I can def list out the products in the description for you though! Your hair sounds amazing, and you can def air dry and preserve the health of your hair. Remember to put in your leave in conditioner and you can also add a nice curl cream to help shape your curls as they dry. Just don’t use too much. I will do one in my recommendations for you. Thanks so much for watching ❤️
Is there any oils you would recommend ?
I love Olaplex for fine to medium hair and Moroccan oil for thicker hair..I have them linked in the description
But what can I do about the flyaways in my hair at my part?
@@juliehuntington that can be hard cause fly ways at the crown or part are often baby hairs cropping up. A good blowout with a good negative ion dryer can help
Thanks, I appreciate the response!
@@juliehuntington I’m just happy people watch me 🤣🤣
Hi, video is very informative! The hair oil you mentioned after leave on product is before or after blow dry? Please also share how to maintain or product to apply between shampoos.
Use the oil as your final step in the routine, on dry hair to seal your ends and preserve moisture, as needed -
then in between shampoos daily or every few days as needed until your next shampoo!
This is my first video of yours I’ve watched & love all the information without extra talking and making the video take forever. Your information was so helpful. I just loved it. So I have the Kerastase Nutritive blow dry mist product and now I’m not sure if it is also a leave in conditioner or strictly a blow dry mist? Should have a separate leave in conditioner with this? Will get the blowout jelly. I am 52 & have fine thin hair.
@@deannapeters211 you are so kind. You’ve literally made my day as that is what I’m going for in most of my videos lately🤣I tend to ramble sometimes so I’m guilty of that for sure but I also want to get you guys the info cause there is just SO much out there….I love Kerastase products too. I haven’t tried the blow dry mist as I like creams and gels better for blow drying as they protect my hair better. BUT, If you like it it’s working for you keep using it but of course make sure not to forget to add your leave in conditioner, because a blow dry product mist like that also needs a good leave in under it. Thanks for watching and I’d love to have you as a subscriber ❤️
