  • MAF SENSOR CLEANING - Simple & Easy! | Vios / Yaris is a straightforward guide on how you can perform this simple but necessary task on your own as part of your car's preventative maintenance routine.
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor monitors the flow of air or oxygen molecules through the intake tube to provide the ECU/ECM the necessary information it needs to regulate the amount of fuel the injectors have to spray in each cylinder in order to achieve the correct air-to-fuel ratio. This balance is necessary for proper combustion and power delivery by the engine.
A dirty MAF sensor may go unnoticed for a long time until the symptoms it causes the engine become annoying enough to make the car owner seek professional help, only to find out later on that simply cleaning it would have fixed the problem sooner.
Good thing is, you don't have to wait until you experience issues before you take action. This video shows how simple and easy it is to keep the MAF sensor clean and in good condition.
As always, please exercise caution and common sense when working on your car. Seek the help of a professional whenever necessary. Engine light warning code P0107, Does the Toyota Vios 2014 have a map sensor?

    • @Viosified
      @Viosified  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It has a MAF sensor, located in the same place as shown in the video. Try cleaning the MAF sensor to see if it helps remove the P0107 fault code. Also check the wiring harness for damage or if it is connected properly. Good luck.

Hi sir i have a problem after changing my engine and transmission
The car dont idle that good and ref bad. Now i fixed that but when i try to put in drive it go realy slow and acceleration is high but wont shift that good. I had first a 1.3 engine and now i put a 1.5 engine

    • @Viosified
      @Viosified  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi sir. It would help if you could have a mechanic run a thorough diagnostics on your car using an OBD2 scanner to get a more comprehensive information about the real status of your car's ECU/ECM, sensors, etc. If any errors pop up the mechanic should be able to identify them and fix the cause of the problem.
There could be some compatibility issues between the ECU and the new engine and transmission, but whatever is causing these issues, your mechanic will be able to identify them with the OBD2 scanner and address them accordingly.
Thank you and keep safe 🙏

    I have a question
I have toyota yaris cross 2021 1.5 engine petrol (26000 kilometers now)
all maintenance has been done regularly by the toyota service.transmission fluid also had been changed
I have a problem no one can solve it
The car is Ukrainen we came to Turkey (because of the war)
when there is little bit high hill ,the car makes tooo much loud exhaust sound (seems like mustang car sound)but car moves like a turtle.Even full loaded semi trucks can go easily
when i drive on a regular road sometimes there is no sound but when the weather is hot in turkey that loud exhoust sound starts again
it happens more if we are 2 or 4 people in the car and if there is a little high hill 10-15 percent uphill or even on straight road
i took 5 times to dealership they said car has no problem
    what might be the problem
when weather is hot and when we are 2 or 4 people i get that sound all the time
    thank you so much

Given that you've already taken the car to the dealership multiple times without a resolution, you might want to consider the following steps:
Seek a Second Opinion: Consider taking your car to a different dealership or an independent mechanic who might have a fresh perspective on the issue.
Diagnostic Scan: Request a comprehensive diagnostic scan of the vehicle's systems, including the engine and transmission. This might help identify any underlying electronic or sensor-related issues.
Provide Detailed Information: When discussing the issue with mechanics, be sure to provide as much detail as possible about the specific conditions under which the problem occurs. This could help them pinpoint the problem more accurately.
Contact Toyota Support: If the problem persists and multiple repair attempts have been unsuccessful, consider reaching out to Toyota's customer support or a higher-level service representative for assistance.
Consult a Specialist: If all else fails, consider consulting with a specialist who has experience in diagnosing complex and unusual automotive issues.
Since it is physically impossible to assess the vehicle directly, I can only provide some insights that might help you troubleshoot the source/s of the issue:
Exhaust System: The loud exhaust sound you're hearing could be related to a problem with the exhaust system. It might be a leak, a damaged muffler, or an issue with the catalytic converter. These issues could affect the engine's performance and power, causing the car to struggle on hills.
Engine Performance: The change in exhaust sound and reduced performance when the car is fully loaded or on uphill roads might indicate an issue related to fuel delivery, air intake, or ignition problems.
Transmission: Despite having changed the transmission fluid, there could still be an underlying transmission issue that's not immediately apparent. It might be worth having the transmission system thoroughly inspected, especially if the problem is more pronounced under specific conditions.
Air Intake & Filters: Problems with air intake or clogged air filters can impact the engine's performance, especially when the engine needs more air to operate efficiently under load.
Heat: The fact that the problem becomes more noticeable in hot weather could suggest overheating components, such as sensors or electronics. These could potentially cause performance problems.
ECU: Complex modern vehicles rely heavily on electronic control units (ECUs) or computers. If there's a glitch or malfunction in the ECU that's triggered under specific conditions, it could lead to the symptoms you're experiencing.
Turbocharger (if equipped): If your Yaris Cross is equipped with a turbocharger, issues with the turbo system could lead to reduced performance and strange noises. Turbo-related problems might not always trigger an error code or warning light.
Throttle or Acceleration Sensor: A faulty throttle position sensor or accelerator pedal sensor could lead to poor acceleration & sluggish engine performance.
Please remember that this is not a diagnosis. I suggest you seek expert help from mechanics in your area until you are confident that the issues you are experiencing are resolved.
