@@bixiella7830 Honestly- I disagree with the creator's judgement of the limitless album. A collage them could be cute but not only was the brown paper overpowering, but it was super busy. There was nothing that stuck out and the logo itself was hard to read. There's nothing wrong with wanting to go over the top but it definitely needs to make sense.
@@bixiella7830 Also- I don't hate the majority of the SKZ albums. They're not ugly, but I wouldn't say that they're eye catching either. I could see what concept they were going for and honestly, I think a few minor tweaks would make a huge difference.

Love dive was literally the weirdest album design, I was like omg this album cover is gonna be so elegant with very saturated and vibrant colors, and it was block ugly ass colors I was so mad 😭
It might just be me, but I really liked the empathy design. For some reason it just really stuck to my memory, in a good way lol. But the redesigns for every album were so so good!! I feel like some of the graphic designers in charge of album covers don't really know what they're going for and are underpaid as heck.
Thursday's Child by TXT is one of the best album design I've seen. It sets the tone for this era and its just so pretty to look at. I also love the new Red Velvet album cover bc there's so much to look at. Both of them are very aesthetically pleasing
the thing w ateez treasure is that even if it's ugly, it's incredibly iconic. anyone who listens to 4th gen would recognize those as ateez albums from a mile away.
Though I personally like empathy's cover, your design was amazing as well. The downside is that if one member had his face covered like you made, it would definitely cause NCity War CMLXXXVII (btw I know it's bizarre but I think the negative version would be a good adding to the design lineup, it matches well nct’s crazy concept me thinks) hoping for part 2 in the future
One small thing to note for NCT, you cut off a member and then covered the ones in the side with the text which is probably a big nono. So I'd keep that in mind as a potential constraint for future redesigns
In my opinion Red Velvet has the best album design team in K-Pop (I say album design not graphic design because I mean not only the graphic design team but also the lighting team, photography team, stylists, concept ideas etc etc). And they pop off even when SM gives them nothing. Like, I still can’t believe two of RV’s best title tracks/ albums The Perfect Velvet (Peekaboo) and The Perfect Red Velvet (Bad Boy) got JEWELCASES as their packaging and the design team still popped tf off. The Perfect Red Velvet is possibly the best album design in the history of K-Pop in my opinion. Everything about it is perfection, the graphic design, the LIGHTING (whoever was their lighting team deserves all the awards I could rave about that lighting for days) the styling, the photography team and the members’ exquisite posing. The commitment to the pulp rock aesthetic, the bold choices, the comic book style in parts of it, the james bond badassery, it’s insanely good. And The Perfect Velvet is great too, the commitment and detail to the pizza box theme is awesome, the jewel case looks like a pizza box, the lyric sheet looks like a pizza place menu, the CD looks like the pizza from the MV, complete with the jewels, they even made it look like there was some pizza grease that came off under the CD, that attention to detail is crazy. Every album in the Reve festival series is stunning too, especially the Finale and 2022. I haven’t watched an unboxing for every single one of their albums so I can’t guarantee that every album is amazing but most of them are. Another group that has FANTASTIC album design is Dreamcatcher. They do not miss. Especially with Summer Holiday and the Dystopia series. The greek column design for ODD EYE?!?! My jaw is on the floor. Yeah anyways that was my rant.

so I have to say as a ive and enha ult stan I was kinda disappointed when I saw the albums. for example ive: their jacket shoot was drop dead gorgeous and I loved everything about it! but the albums... I might have dropped some tears when I saw the covers. u did a really good job by renewing it! and for enhypen, the thing is orange and green, doesn’t work but it kinda made sense for the cb colors, but I was still made. the purple and blue versions made it better, even tho the blue is more green in real life...ur cover was good just in reality it would probably look the same as the blue one. for txt, everything hybe does for their albums is perfect! except for freeze era. the concept and album is superior but packaging makes me so mad! it gets damaged easily and it’s so annoying to put the photobook back in! but u did a amazing job!
tbh i am not really a fan of the green on the redesign of the oddyseus version because it would ruin its cohesiveness to the concept, but the dilemma albums in person are actually gorgeous :)
Oml as an artist myself I want to say that my favorite kpop album designs are Shinee Key’s bad love album and pentagons invite:u and love or take albums. They are actually so gorgeous and creative and aesthetically pleasing. I think my favorite part of this video is when you attempt to use the love dive font and then just completely give up entirely, it’s such a mood T-T

Hiiii so I have the IVE Love Dive album blue ver and the photobook was so disappointing. Firstly the teases they released are so beautiful and the Illustrations are just muwah But the photobook they released still had some illustration but it was not over the top detailed and beautiful as the teasers goddd I was so disappointed. Also I think you did a great job redesigning and explaining everything quickly and easily to understand, I think I really love your redesign of Love dive you did a great job on conveying the vibe of a Cupid or something.
i strongly disagree with NCT's Empathy album cover being ugly! all versions incorporate the type in such a unique way and the overall design reflects their concept at the time. the black and white versions looks like a maze or matrix symbolizing the boys's path to debut or the interconnectedness of the subunits. the rainbow version is hazy and comes in and out of focus, its very dreamlike. the colors fading into one another represent all the members coming together. and the digital cover is like perfect blend of the two physical designs. overall its just a very eye catching and cohesive cover, honestly one of the group's best designs.
the rest of the redesigns are amazing but enhypen dillema for me looks better originally. the orange and green is nice to look at for me. the redesign used a green that makes the text less visible, it blends with the background. anyways i really like covers from mamamoo, purple kiss and black pink. twice too, although you may not like them because of their faces being in the cover, but like they look amazing lol

AAAA loved this video!!! i've never been a graphic designer, but i'm such a nerd for album packaging and cd design, especially as a cd collector myself 🕺🏻 HUGE fan of ur love dive redesign, the og covers definitely don't do justice to how great the single album is *and* the stunning concept photos 💔 for album packaging, i'd like to highlight key's BAD LOVE, conceptually brilliant and all versions were visually stunning, so cohesive with each other 💘 (the fact that key worked so hard in designing them makes it better!!!)

The love dive cover was AWESOME. Honestly i was so dissapointed when i discovered that they had a concept and so much effort into the teasers but the physical albums looked like that
as a designer myself, i am also frustrated. but we are dealing with customer here (company). no matter how beautiful and aesthetic the design is , it's no use if clients don't like it.
NOOOO but like actually... I was so taken a back when I first saw the "Love Dive" packaging, on ebay (it was a photo of the cover), I straight up though it was some merch (like photocards or smthng) in a branded envelope, the design was so simple xd
I Have physical copiesof dilemma, and ITS REALLY PRETTY! I used to hate to hate the colors when it came out but that changed when i saw the album in person. Anws most of your redesigns are so gooddd
No hate but: I'm a graphic design student of 2 years, working on my bachelors in Graphic and Interactive Design, and design is all up to personal preference, while there can be "bad" designs, none of the examples you shown did I think were excruciatingly bad or cheap looking. The orange in enhypen's album fit well, between the blue and the purple a warmer toned color really balanced out the color scheme and the orange and forest green fit really well imo. I think even without the orange, a gold or a yellow color would still fit really well. I don't see anything wrong with IVE's love dive, the focus was on that really interesting font, and the color combos were amazing, the cover was simple but it was made up in the concept and the MV. It would've been more interesting to see more of a concept with the greek story that the song is based on, but still overall I can definitely tell there was thought put into it. Is the Love Dive design perfect? No, but neither is any kpop comeback design. This goes for The Boyz Thrill-ing too, the cover was simple, but it still worked as the focus wasn't on the cover rather on the concept and the innards of the album, though however, I'm not to famillar with that comeback. The IVE redesign that you did felt, what you described, as a "pics-art" edit, most of the redesigns looked like it took you 5, 10 minutes and were really just a collage of already existing assets from the actual kpop company's design team, so it wasn't much of a redesign. I mean, again, no hate, but you didn't even create a side panel for the IVE redesign mockup you just used the cover again, which looks cheap. You should keep the same dimesions of the cover when designing it so you don't have to worry about stretching or distoring it. I really liked the color choices you chose on Thrill-ing, and the almost checkerboard pattern there really looks like it would fit the concept well. I also really liked the idea of NCT2018's album, but you lost me when you stretched out the picture and then cut off (what I'm assume are) members and left them on the side of the album, and then proceeded to also cover them with the NCT2018 sticker. I also really liked the colors you did on NCT2018's album, the two versions you made would really go well together on a shelf, but the cutting off members would be a definite no-go in the design industry. You have photoshop, so you should have access to illustrator which is typically the industry-standard program for these types of projects. Illustrator works in vector rather than pixels like photoshop. Again, it's no hate to you, just constructive criticism, and it's all personal preference, so you may not even agree with what I have to say, and that's totally your choice. Design is all about fun and as long as you had fun that's all that matters, and the designs I saw on your Instagram were really good and pleasing to the eye.
no that’s cool I’m open to criticism but I just want to emphasize that I really did just spent 10 minutes on each design because this TH-cam channel is a hobby and I have the weekend to prepare and edit videos that’s it so my goal was just to design something quick without thinking too much and it kind of helped me not think so much about minuscule details, I tend to overthink a lot and I end up not finishing things, your criticism is valid though I agree that if put more time into these it would’ve turned out better but like I said I spent 10 minutes on each redesign so I could upload the video the next day, I just had a general idea and went with it and by using existing illustrations and logos all I had to think about was how to arrange it and what colors I to use That’s all! but thanks for sharing!
The most gorgeous album design in my opinion is Red Velvets Queendom (Girls Version). I love the colour choices, and although it's a small box, it still fits the concept of the version.

hii :D i personally love the love dive redesign, but i think that some tint should've been added to the arrows to make it look more fittign to the color scheme! if i do have to say one thing, the fsigns you made are absolutely gorgeous and i love them all
i think enhypen's album w a matte black/dark silver font would have SLAPPED and made it kinda look like those old encyclopedias, ties in well with their prep school dark academia concept too
i am mostly in love with your redesigns, ives album looks so much better and tbz's album too. for the enhypen album i like both your version and the original, but i think i would rather prefer the original. the only one i dont agree with is the empathy redesign. the design looks really nice for sure, but i dont like how there are members cut off from the frontside and how the logo on the side then completely hides them. i wouldve rather put the logo at the top of the side instead of the middle of the side. but except those two things theyre still great redesigns
I feel like it's also not about just the cover but the overall shape. I bought the Thrilling TBZ albums and the NCT Sticker + Universe (using those as an example because they're in the video) and let's be real it's just a flat photobook with a cd shoved in the back. They should incorporate some cool folding thing or like more box designs. There's so much potential but companies keep picking the cheapest materials possible as if everyone just throws it away after they get their photocard. I mean for some 25 dollar cardboard and paper it better be better quality and I think albums from 2017-2018 were probably the best in quality and uniqueness. TBZ The Only albums.... they were so good. Omega X Vamos albums were also pretty good (recent release) but definitely heavy.
4:10 Ugh aespa Savage album and Kai album blew my mind when they came out, graphic designers understood the assignment and fitted the concepts perfectly I'm a fan

When everybody Complained about the acrilic cover on TXT albums but it's the best at protecting the album if you have your album exhibited and also the photo that is from the same size of the album can be perfectly exhibited on the behind of the album cover inside the acrilic cover and be protected at the same time. Like I'm an ARMY and I would like the BTS album cover and packaging to be more like TXT

NOOOO but like actually... I was so taken a back when I first saw the "Love Dive" packaging, on ebay (it was a photo of the cover), I straight up though it was some merch (like photocards or smthng) in a branded envelope, the design was so simple xd

No hate but:
I'm a graphic design student of 2 years, working on my bachelors in Graphic and Interactive Design, and design is all up to personal preference, while there can be "bad" designs, none of the examples you shown did I think were excruciatingly bad or cheap looking.
The orange in enhypen's album fit well, between the blue and the purple a warmer toned color really balanced out the color scheme and the orange and forest green fit really well imo. I think even without the orange, a gold or a yellow color would still fit really well.
I don't see anything wrong with IVE's love dive, the focus was on that really interesting font, and the color combos were amazing, the cover was simple but it was made up in the concept and the MV. It would've been more interesting to see more of a concept with the greek story that the song is based on, but still overall I can definitely tell there was thought put into it. Is the Love Dive design perfect? No, but neither is any kpop comeback design. This goes for The Boyz Thrill-ing too, the cover was simple, but it still worked as the focus wasn't on the cover rather on the concept and the innards of the album, though however, I'm not to famillar with that comeback.
The IVE redesign that you did felt, what you described, as a "pics-art" edit, most of the redesigns looked like it took you 5, 10 minutes and were really just a collage of already existing assets from the actual kpop company's design team, so it wasn't much of a redesign. I mean, again, no hate, but you didn't even create a side panel for the IVE redesign mockup you just used the cover again, which looks cheap. You should keep the same dimesions of the cover when designing it so you don't have to worry about stretching or distoring it.
I really liked the color choices you chose on Thrill-ing, and the almost checkerboard pattern there really looks like it would fit the concept well. I also really liked the idea of NCT2018's album, but you lost me when you stretched out the picture and then cut off (what I'm assume are) members and left them on the side of the album, and then proceeded to also cover them with the NCT2018 sticker. I also really liked the colors you did on NCT2018's album, the two versions you made would really go well together on a shelf, but the cutting off members would be a definite no-go in the design industry.
You have photoshop, so you should have access to illustrator which is typically the industry-standard program for these types of projects. Illustrator works in vector rather than pixels like photoshop.
Again, it's no hate to you, just constructive criticism, and it's all personal preference, so you may not even agree with what I have to say, and that's totally your choice. Design is all about fun and as long as you had fun that's all that matters, and the designs I saw on your Instagram were really good and pleasing to the eye.
no that’s cool I’m open to criticism but I just want to emphasize that I really did just spent 10 minutes on each design because this TH-cam channel is a hobby and I have the weekend to prepare and edit videos that’s it so my goal was just to design something quick without thinking too much and it kind of helped me not think so much about minuscule details, I tend to overthink a lot and I end up not finishing things, your criticism is valid though I agree that if put more time into these it would’ve turned out better but like I said I spent 10 minutes on each redesign so I could upload the video the next day, I just had a general idea and went with it and by using existing illustrations and logos all I had to think about was how to arrange it and what colors I to use

The most gorgeous album design in my opinion is Red Velvets Queendom (Girls Version). I love the colour choices, and although it's a small box, it still fits the concept of the version.

i am mostly in love with your redesigns, ives album looks so much better and tbz's album too. for the enhypen album i like both your version and the original, but i think i would rather prefer the original. the only one i dont agree with is the empathy redesign. the design looks really nice for sure, but i dont like how there are members cut off from the frontside and how the logo on the side then completely hides them. i wouldve rather put the logo at the top of the side instead of the middle of the side. but except those two things theyre still great redesigns

I feel like it's also not about just the cover but the overall shape. I bought the Thrilling TBZ albums and the NCT Sticker + Universe (using those as an example because they're in the video) and let's be real it's just a flat photobook with a cd shoved in the back. They should incorporate some cool folding thing or like more box designs. There's so much potential but companies keep picking the cheapest materials possible as if everyone just throws it away after they get their photocard. I mean for some 25 dollar cardboard and paper it better be better quality and I think albums from 2017-2018 were probably the best in quality and uniqueness. TBZ The Only albums.... they were so good. Omega X Vamos albums were also pretty good (recent release) but definitely heavy.
Also I definitely need to include WEI's First Love album. Super good design and inclusions.

When everybody Complained about the acrilic cover on TXT albums but it's the best at protecting the album if you have your album exhibited and also the photo that is from the same size of the album can be perfectly exhibited on the behind of the album cover inside the acrilic cover and be protected at the same time. Like I'm an ARMY and I would like the BTS album cover and packaging to be more like TXT
