@@nctiddy *At least Celine* is consistent with their _dumbass Helvetica sans serif font_ 😂. Balenciaga needs to stick with that rather than having so many t-shirt logos they might as well be knockoffs created by learning disabled toddlers.

I've never understood the hate towards the Zimzalabim era of Red Velvet. Did you guys hear the song/see the music video? Those outfits were perfect for emulating the weird, eclectic, and carnival vibe of the song. Styling is not always about making a dress or two-piece that is conventionally pleasing to the eye, it's also about making statements and creating discussion. Were you expecting the girls to wear very typical but pretty outfits? That would be much worse styling-wise for the concept as it wouldn't fit whatsoever, but I feel people focus more on how good the idol looks rather than the fact Zimzalabim was supposed to be weird as all hell. This is very different, to, for example, Feel Special Jeongyeon, when she was literally just given an unflattering sack to wear. There was no reason for that besides the stylists not knowing what to do for her or her body type, whereas Zimzalabim Wendy had weird outfits to actually match the concept of the song. I get that it's not conventionally appealing, but fashion when acting as art is not necessarily meant to be flattering to a body type or figure.
i totally agree with you I’m not at all against the zimzalabim styling the only thing I hated was the marine serre tights with the ugly green mop that’s all lol
Lmao when I heard Zimzalabim i thought to myself “Istg if they style this comeback basic ass dresses im gonna riot.” Then i saw the stylin and was genuinely surprised. Didnt understand the hate about it
like the case of CELINE outfits, i hate it when stylists slap on logo brooches (CHANEL, DIOR, YSL, PRADA, etc.) on boring outfits. it doesn't make it look good, it still sucks.
OMG YES IDLE TOMBOY STYLING IS SO GOOD the moment i saw those baggy jeans with the cropped leather jackets i was sold, its so pretty and cool i love it sm😭. i think they performed with the pink outfits for their countdown stage but im not so sure, ateez wonderland era had really nice styling as well, san with that mullet.. i wont comment cause then ill scream and please do a part two!! this is so much fun :D
Feel special is literally so memorable. When I think about feel special i immediately remember nayeon's iconic purple dress. I don't think the clothes look cheap except for jeongyeon's dress.
agreed!! I was on board with the video until then. I've seen bad and unmemorable stage outfits, but they did the satin trend before forever 21 started mass producing that style. Idk if I'm old, but I kept tryin to find pieces like that when I'd shop online during that era and there really weren't any. They made it more mainstream.
What I hate and absolutely HATE that is happening in kpop rn is the generic fashion and the cut-down styling. It seems like the stylists just watch one single designer collection and run with it. It really hurts to see as someone who loves experimental and avant-garde fashion so, so much. I feel like a lot of kpop stylists aren't even that experienced in fashion themselves/don't know a lot about the creative aspects of it. And hair and makeup?? It's becoming so boring. I miss weird haircuts and dramatic makeup for boygroups. Is it so hard to put some more eyeshadow on a man?? Or a winged eyeliner? And don't even get me started on the shoes. I'll see an outfit and think it's cool, then I look down and notice shoes that either don't fit the concept or just look atrociously bad. Anyway, Red Velvet are queens. Everyone, go stream Feel My Rythm.
I think it’s hard to maintain cool outfits with letting the idols move and sing comfortably on stage. I remember Treasure’s Mashiho had to change his shoes mid rehearsals on stage because he kept slipping on stage.
The shoe one is soooo true. Most stylists just give idols Dr. Martens or similar style boots as shoes and call it a day. I understand it is the most comfortable option to dance on stage and a no-brainer, but I don't see the reason why they do it also for photobooks, MV's, concept photos, etc
The best era in terms of styling that instantly came into my mind was A.C.E's Goblin (Favourite Boys). Their stylist really know how to make them shine individually without loosing the connection to the group. And I think you might like the group Kingdom. They've got some great historical costumes.

To tell you the truth, i love kpop music but the stylings is the first thing that gets me going, its just so interesting and cool. I will never get tired of it.
I'm obsessed with the way ateez is styled. It's mostly relatively basic concepts for K-pop, like military, chopped up suits and modernised Hanbok, but the way the stylists use silhouette to compliment each member's figure and performance style is so frickin good. Also I don't know if they were the first to do it, but I blame exo's obsession era for making that frickin face jewellery so popular. I don't hate it but man did stylists just start chucking it at everything for a bit there, whether it suited the concept or not.
Orange Caramel styling is amazing. I love styling you couldn't see anywhere else. K-pop artists going all out is the best and that includes the fashion. Tomboy was ok for me. I adored the black and white teaser outfits but the stage outfits really weren't flattering and looked cheap to me. I hate when I like the teaser or MV outfits and then they never wear them like in Itzy's Mafia teasers with Yuna in the white dress and Chae in the red boots. Those were killer.
Wait Blue Sehun is EXACTLY what was missing from his Obsession look. The same blue as Runaway Yeonjun is what I'm seeing and you are a VISIONARY. He would have matched Kai not only with his fit but his hair would have as well. Now I'm kinda sad we didn't get blue sehun
The way EXO was styled during Obsession era was superb. Not to mention their teaser on that cb was definitely one of the best teaser I have ever watched in Kpop. It elevated the hype for the cb even though SM literally paid EXO dust during that time.
Orange Caramel actually styled their own clothes for Catallena and many of their other comebacks. They even made the accessories and head pieces themselves.

i just don't like how they parade the name of the brand it's annoying like "oh look at the idols they're wearing designer!" they opt out on styling them with pieces that actually look good it's such a waste. i also need them to let go of celine for the love of god i need taeyong in kenzo or raf simmons he needs to model for them 😭
YES u said think of examples of good styling and i immediately thought of firetruck and obsession (+some shinee) . theyre just so stand out, they fit the concept and look cool af. ive been a fighter for firetruck styling for years even when i wasnt an nctzen
I do like nmixx's o.o styling...especially that grey suit with stitched embroidered stickers smthng and that ballerina I dunno fluffy skirts paired with rubber shoes
The “luxury fashion brands putting their whole names in a piece of clothing” is a fashion trend that’s been happing for some time called Logomania. It happens cause of peoples tendencies of warning to show off these brands. Not really to make their names seen
tbh everything about nct127's firetruck era was my cup of tea. The song, the voices, the rap, the dance and the video plus styling. i stanned because of it.
I grew up loving Hedi Slimane's Saint Laurent, and was a bit more open to him heading Céline. But jesus fucking christ. It's definitely LVMH cashing in on the streetwear trend to make money. I understand, but why are the stylists pulling the worst pieces for them. Not just for MVs, but magazine editorials as well. The branded tees are meant for the proles to buy into, not for the stars to wear. Speaking of the worst pieces, those terrible sequin balloon trousers Taeyong is wearing in the latest ELLE Japan spread? Horrendous. OBSESSION was brought to us by Kim Wook, stylist to Exo and SHINee and now the latest Aespa looks including Savage. He does the individual members' solos as well.
@@nctiddy Dream's Glitch Mode styling is giving me hope. I think SM might have sold Taeyong's body to Celine, but they can save the logos for airport fashion or insta.
i feel like stylists could’ve done so many different and creative things with the concept of black mamba, i was so disappointed when i saw those outfits
I would like to add something i wish was a criteria more often when evaluating (and styling) idols' outfits. Functionality. Are these idols gonna be restricted by the outfit or will they be able to do the choreo? A good example off the top of my head are the long ass sleeves during Dreamcatcher's Deja Vu era. The outfits went with the regal, fantasy concept and the sleeves added interest to the performance since the choreo has a lot of swishy arm movements. A bad example is pretty much anytime ggs are given super short skirts or dresses that ignore the fact they need to actually move on stage and they constantly have to pull down every 2 seconds. They always look so uncomfortable and seem to be distracting for the idol.
Twice's Feel Special white set (all white and jewelry) and silky (Nayeon purple 2 set) sets will live rent free, 4k, high def, loop on in my mind cause the stylist popped off imo

2:29 I'm always thinking about this( I LOOVE Orange Caramel) also I've never been a fan of groups and companies trying to appeal to the Western boring ass music industry, I'm into kpop PRECISELY cuz it's different and quirky- miss me with that boring stuff (and bad trendy urban styling too LOL)
i just don't like how they parade the name of the brand it's annoying like "oh look at the idols they're wearing designer!" they opt out on styling them with pieces that actually look good it's such a waste. i also need them to let go of celine for the love of god i need taeyong in kenzo or raf simmons he needs to model for them 😭
yeah it’s not cute it’s boring and uninteresting and it PAINS me to see taeyong in boring clothing he‘s too pretty for that 😩
DUDE I SAID FIRE TRUCK AND THEN U TALKED ABT IT OMFG
I actually can't wait for part 2 haha, this was so funny, the end though 🤣.
💓
YES u said think of examples of good styling and i immediately thought of firetruck and obsession (+some shinee) . theyre just so stand out, they fit the concept and look cool af. ive been a fighter for firetruck styling for years even when i wasnt an nctzen
i like the celine sweaters but it absolutely sucks ass to see the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over again.
finally someone who understands the vision for firetruck 😭
Loved your examples btw 👍😌👏
IM WHEEZING SO HARD FOREVER 21 ON SALE IS JUST THE RIGHT DESCRIPTION😭😭😭
ITS SO UGLYY👺
Preach ! 💯 Next is belenciaga
I do like nmixx's o.o styling...especially that grey suit with stitched embroidered stickers smthng and that ballerina I dunno fluffy skirts paired with rubber shoes
but the way Aespa's outfits evolved is REALLY out of this world
RIGHT
Naevis helped the girls upgrade
The “luxury fashion brands putting their whole names in a piece of clothing” is a fashion trend that’s been happing for some time called Logomania. It happens cause of peoples tendencies of warning to show off these brands. Not really to make their names seen
tbh everything about nct127's firetruck era was my cup of tea. The song, the voices, the rap, the dance and the video plus styling. i stanned because of it.
!! you have excellent taste
Zimzalabim SLAYED and that is a FACT like your videos but I will watch the rest of them whilst judging you.
Firetruck era was quirky and cute no slander allowed 👊👊👊
!!!!
He does the individual members' solos as well.
i knowww right so boring so uninteresting they have the budget why are you dressing them in the worst outfits I don’t understand…
@@nctiddy Dream's Glitch Mode styling is giving me hope.
I think SM might have sold Taeyong's body to Celine, but they can save the logos for airport fashion or insta.
Lol and i love the star stripped cardigan (3:11) i think it's very cute
THANK YOU, i literally hate that knitted celine cardigan and at one point last year every single idol was wearing it. Awful.
At the end of the day it’s ur opinion, ur not a stylist, ur not known so ur opinion doesn’t matter
slay!
i feel like stylists could’ve done so many different and creative things with the concept of black mamba, i was so disappointed when i saw those outfits
Right?? So many great ways to idk reference the black mamba maybe
i can't stop looking at juyeon little bubble LOL omgggg hes so attractive lol
ikr it’s crazy😳
Also check out everglow's styling at their song "First" it's just chef kiss.
WONDERLAND SEONGHWA MENTIONED 🥳🎉🎉🎉
OF COURSE
I have a feeling that kpop stylists don’t know how to dress body types that aren’t “the ideal idol body “
True!!
I think you’ll really like wjsn’s styling, and specially wjsn chocome during supper yuppers era
I do!!! It’s very cute
Twice's Feel Special white set (all white and jewelry) and silky (Nayeon purple 2 set) sets will live rent free, 4k, high def, loop on in my mind cause the stylist popped off imo
I feel like Sehun is missing accessiores and colors (?)like his jacket kind of looks plain idk😭 i do agree on the blue hair tho
Y'ALL MY NAME IS CELINE AND WHEN I SAW THIS VIDEO I FELT ATTACKED LMAO
I‘m so sorry lmaoooooo
@@nctiddy it's alright bc i agree💀
I started stanning atz bc of the wonderland styling 😩
Actually it's kinda funny for idle they had huge influence on the styles they used so the reason why the fashion is so good is because they chose it
@Pastel Affection that's what I'm saying
