These are some of the smartest upgrades i've seen in a long time,i must say this might make these basses the best bass for the money on the planet.....No joke........
Hello Andy, Hope your doing well. I still am a fan of just a beautiful maple neck with a matching headstock the same color as the body. To me it looks more elegant. You are a great bass player, thanks for all you do for all of us. Stay safe and well and keep Rocking. Signed John ( Zepbass) Gregory from Munster Indiana, U.S.A.
Sounds terrific, and yeah....great updates. Passive tone control would have been awesome, but that can always added with a small mod. Love your demo work.
Great upgrades to the metroexpress line, at last I want to have one now. The last I tested sounded great but the « feel » of the instrument was not in par for me. Hopefully these new models will compete!

Hi there! The Sadowsky MetroExpress does feature an active and passive mode, however it does not have a classic passive tone knob. This is feature is called the VTC (Vintage Tone Control) and to be found on the MetroLine and upwards, however the VTC is found on our seperately available preamp upgrade and also available as a single VTC knob and relatively easy installed to your MetroExpress. We recommend checking your local dealer or click the link in the description to find the Sadowsky preamp in our shop from there you're also able to find the VTC as a single knob replacement. Hope this was helpful.
Hi there! The VTC is available seperately as a single knob replacement or as part of our Sadowsky preamp kit, whith which you can retrofit any MetroExpress bass. Check your local dealer for availability or click the link in the description to find it in our shop. We also offer a full guide on how retrofit your MetroExpress bass with the Sadowsky preamp kit featuring Roger Sadowsky himself.
Our Sadowsky basses are designed to be as lightweight as possible, the general aim is to settle around 8 pounds, which will slightly vary between each individual bass due to minor differences in wood density and construction (e.g. a 5-string bass will always be a bit heavier than than its 4-string counterpart).

Why did they name it like its an urban rapid transit system 😅
Waiting for the M-Humbucker Version - or maybe like something like the Nordstrand Big BladeMan ?^^
