    Asking clients and customers to leave a review shortly after you've served them well is definitely the best way. I think that having a button on the company website to give a review could attract competitors to leave negative reviews; it's a bit risky and ineffective. Just my 2 cents; great video Luc 🤜🤛

    My 2 cents, I have been getting Google reviews for ten years I estimate less than 1% of my requests have resulted in a review - people just cant be bothered/have the time good video none the less

      @@rankingacademy I send them the text link literally seconds after I leave the job, I ask them if its ok to send the link but they just ignore it - funny thing is they are calling me back a week later to do another job for them 'facepalm'

    Very useful information. When I try the link, you get the request to log in to your Google account. That's an extra hurdle requiring more effort. What if customers don't have a Google account?

    Hi sir very informative video.. I received a negetive review recently and for sure its from my competitor.. This negetive review is showing no 1 position in the listing even after getting more than 20 new reviews lengthier than the negetaive review.. Is there any ways i push it down in the list.. Please suggest.

      These are pulled in automatically so there is very little you can do apart from continuing to get new reviews

    I love your videos Luc - well presented and informative. I'm having issues with people telling me they have left reviews, even screenshotting their reviews, but they don't show up - have had this in the past during lockdown but they all turned up but recently it seems an issue again. Bizarrely a couple of reviews I've left haven't made it through to the person's page either. Any ideas or solutions please? Thanks : )

    Is it possible to share a single URL for Multiple Locations Google Reviews so that customer can choose the location and then leave a review?

      No the url is unique to a profile. What you can do is create a page on your website which will display all locations and add the review link for each of them so people can choose the right one

    Here in Australia we have QR codes just to get into every business (covid 19) it get's a bit annoying, I'm wondering if people would recoil if they see one on a business card or receipt,

    I use this method (text messaging) and edited the review request and still only get 1 out of 10 customers to give me a review even though they were all totally happy with my work.

      That's still a 10% conversion rate which isn't that bad. That's why you have to multiply the options of getting reviews. You might also want to review your process and tweak a few things to check if it works better.

      You can add an incentive for your customers in exchange for their review. This could be in form of discounts or coupons etc.

      same here.... I have done multiple mailshots to clients asking for reviews, and not one of them can be bothered.

    Hi Luc, thank you for your excellent and clear content as always, I have tried sending the review link to my self and others to test but when you open it asks you to log into google account - which is painful as we all forgot our passwords at times.
    I can’t seem to get it to open automatically like you show in the video.
    I have google maps on my phone - and google photos and TH-cam which are all signed in, but these review links ask for “sign in” any thoughts?
    PS, I also received a review link like this from a computer tech I used and had the same issue, it made it frustrating to review him, as I ended up having to go the long way and search for his business while logged into google maps

      Hi Steve. Thanks for your comment. Hard for me to tell. If you are logged into your Gmail account there shouldn't be any reason why you'd be asked to login again. As demonstrated in the video It works perfectly fine once. Have you tried on any other devices with other accounts? Send the link to a friend or a family member and tried it out.

    Is it okay to email your entire list at once or should you do a drip campaign? I thought I saw somewhere that if you get too many reviews at once, google may get suspicious.

      Drip campaign is definitely the recommended strategy here. Otherwise there is indeed a risk of raising alarm bells.

    Often I found that, clients simply leave a review without text. They just select 5 or 4 stars, and click submit. Despite suggesting them to leave a text review, they either forget, or dont want to disclose their confidential info (I am a practicing doctor) or have language difficulty (India has close to a 1000 languages and dialects). Will such reviews be beneficial for me? Will they be counted as spam?

    I want to ask in my map listing I have reviews like around 23 but from past two days automatically it is removing I don’t why?
    Can you tell me how to stop from 1.5 years reviews now reducing means deleting

      Hard to tell. I know google filters some of the reviews. Try getting more reviews from your clients.

    Why do I get some reviews coming through and others not. When I ask the writer of the review they can see it, as if it appears on my site. But I never recieve it. I have had this happen today, one came through to me, and 2 did not. I would ask Google, but you can't find people there any more. It is very frustrating, I double check they have clicked the post button as well. Even ask them to re write please. They say they have. Strange this is as I said earlier they will send me a photo showing the review as if it has posted. But it has not and I have not received the usual Google message saying I have a new review. Can anyone help please. And by the way I really like your posts they are really helpful.

      My business deals with the same thing. Reviews haven’t posted since 2017 even though many people have posted reviews. Google just says that they must have violated the review standards, but these are just regular customers trying to complete a legitimate review. Very frustrating!

    Did they remove the google my business @ name because I changed it a few months ago and you get 3 changes max every year but now it’s saying that they don’t allow username changes anymore and all I can do is keep the old @username for my links or delete the name what do I do?
