The Scalemodeling Channel you should try out the Tamiya 1/24 Lexus LFA. My LFA was amazing only had a problem with the right rear fender. Defiantly check it out if you have time.
Nice paint job ! Since I'm not the best painter on the world and bought this same kit I think I will go with the stock colour. I painted a white Posche 934 in orange, using 2 pots of revell aqua colour having lots of fun, not, with my first atempt with a paint gun...I will try just adding gloss clear directly on to the body...would this work ?
@@TheScalemodelingChannel I need more practice with the airbrush then, before i mess up another model with my "broddelwerk". Just watching you work will give my learning curve a boost i hope. Keep it up ! 👌
Beautiful work as usual Tom. You say that you wait 5 to 10 minutes between coats. Do you encounter airbrush issues, ie. tip clogging, when you start up again on the next coat? I'm assuming you leave the airbrush "loaded" while you wait, correct?
The black primer i have does not have a filler in it. does not stick well and looks terrible. I preffer the grey primer over any primer i have tried so far.
Hobby Design made one(realy expensive multimedia kit) and Fujimi has some racing versions. No plastic kit makes has made a street version sadly, LOVE that car!!
The Scalemodeling Channel I know how that feels and Fujimi making me lose their trust. I have the 2003 WRX STI, those parts couldn't stay together! I tried to put in the rear wheels together and only one of them stayed together and the other wheels didn't stay on with the polycaps with the brake discs. I was completely mad!
Love your videos...beautiful work man. I have a question, do you use any type of metal powder to simulate aluminium. I subscribe to many modelling channels i cant remember where i saw it . I t is a powder that you brush on let it set for a couple minutes then rub it with a cloth ..the shine and realism is awesome.
Great looking kit man, nice work 5 coats, Very nice work covering that orange! Happy New Year!! Cindy & Whitey.
I hope no problems arise after this projects final coat. Happy new year!
None at all, still looking good with the paint not on.
I know this is an older build but do you remember what size needle you use while airbrushing the primer?
0.4

Will L Completely agree. The LFA is a great kit, the only problems I had are my own fault
Please make a video of your collection. Like you videos btw :)
Nice project. I hope that you have fun! :)

It will work to a certain extent, it won't stick as well, and will just be a clear glossy coat on top of the plastic.

if you apply after the gun metal tje clear smoke of tamiya its looks more to a carbón fiber!!! looks nice and smoth!
Nice project. I really think that a mclaren neon green would look really good for the final color! (Just a suggestion)
Curtis Staples it's called mantis green, I might do one that color
Looks pretty cool
Nice! I was wondering how you were gonna overcome all that orange.
Nice body color once again! How many primer and color coatd did you use?
4 coats of primer and 3 coats of gun metal
The Scalemodeling Channel Ok thanks ;)
kan ik dit model ook bouwen door alleen de dingen in de doos te gebruiken? (Met lijm en verf natuurlijk)
Wout Melis jazeker
Im 10 and I have a model set of the MCLaren 570s. I don't have all that gadgets. Can I also make this??
Tolo King of course you can. Just ask your parents for some help ;)
Looking nice so far! I do wonder why you used CA glue for the body in stead of plastic cement?
Becouse it dries instant and i dont have to wait hours before i can move on.
I see. Sounds logical... cement takes a bit longer. Thnx for clearing it up :)
Faxie83 I apply ca glue then after it dries I apply the cement
You know you said you'll be doing lots more carbon decal work on this one, do you have a template for it and if so where did you get it from?
I am using the kit decals as templates for those areas, and will be making some more myself with masking tape.
Right, okay, I look forward to seeing how that goes.
Question: Why do you put the black marker on the body? I know you, probably said but I can't remember?
Why does a surgeon mark his patients?
The Scalemodeling Channel to know where to cut?
Exactly
Cool model 😀 what scale is it? And where do you buy buy it?
Beautiful work as usual Tom. You say that you wait 5 to 10 minutes between coats. Do you encounter airbrush issues, ie. tip clogging, when you start up again on the next coat? I'm assuming you leave the airbrush "loaded" while you wait, correct?
Correct, fully loaded. Ready to go. No clogging with this paint or tip dry as long as you leave enough paint in the cup
why didnt you use a dark primer since you are using a dark paint
The black primer i have does not have a filler in it. does not stick well and looks terrible. I preffer the grey primer over any primer i have tried so far.
Why do not you use a sealer? That avoids the bleeding of the plastic's color, it is not necessary to use dark colors
good work
When I paint the car orange do I still need primer???
When you spray paint, always use primer
If you could choose a overall glue which one would it be? Zaap
Bob Smith industries
Where do you get your 400 grit sanding grit sticks?

Olá , spray vernis ?
where do you buy your Abrasive sponge and your peints ?
Rapha Baz i bought them on ebay from japan
After the primer what did you use for sanding

Ok
Is it usual with Gravity Colors that the paints dry really flat?
TylerTheModeler! Yes! Gravity colors and zero paints dry flat, they need a clearcoat
Is there a MP4-12C kit? Haven't found one yet...

do you have to airbrush those ??
+Musti Yzn only if you want to. You could also use a spray can
The Scalemodeling Channel thank you do I have to paint it or can I just leave it in original color it comes in
Keep in mind, you are building it. You can do whatever you want to do with it;) as long as your having fun and enjoying the build.
The Scalemodeling Channel you're right:) thank you
I wanted to check this so bad but I was at a movie
I dont know why, some of the model car sets I buy, somehow turn out into, mad Max cars
Same here !
I see you're loving bsi gold stuff eh?
sure am XD
It's really one of those things where I find myself saying "Why didn't I find this stuff earlier" LOL
Totaly agree, also very strange not many people seem to know it exists and works on clear parts
The Scalemodeling Channel that's why I bought it...
Me to, but i never knew before i was told.
Welke lijm is dat?
Bob Smith Industries super gold plus.
Why is it every video about this model of car in English is only about the body work and not 1 of the engine
Probably because that is in one of the next episodes
@@TheScalemodelingChannel witch one ? And is your body for that made out of metal?
This is a multi part series. There are 2 or 3 more episodes
Like your builds, but I don't like the carbon you're going to add.
