Or it doesn’t click on good swings when hitting flush down the middle. Inconsistent. Trust me as I bought & tried this device hitting at least 400 balls.
I bought this a month ago and I think it's a good tool to ingrain a good shoulder turn and keep you relatively on plane. However, the swing speed adjuster seems to not affect whether it clicks or not, it will click a little earlier or later based on the setting but that's not what really was sold. The grip part is a nice feature theoretically you could still grip too far down or have the fingers in incorrect spots but it's a decent guide. Haven't tried to hit a ball with it yet, it feels heavier than a normal club so not sure if there's a lot of value in hitting a real ball with it. I think 129 dollars is an OK price but if you have a limited golf budget I'd go with something else. 6.5/10
Yes, its a scam, not that the trading aid doesn’t do some of what they claim, but the phishing of user data during the purchase process. I had to block PG..
I just received my Straight Stick 3-15-2024 and for the love of God, I can't get the magnet ring to release to the bottom when I swing. I must have a defective magnet / metal adapter. 🙄
It works if you think it works. See what I did there? I figured this was not a good aid from the relentless advertising that pops up on my feed all day long. I have found that the best "training aid" is knowing what you are trying to do and then do drills to change. I have played golf since I was 16 years old and I never got better until I was approached on a driving range and told what I should be trying to do. He took some time with me and showed me some issues with grip and my pivot. I worked on it and got better over about a 6 month period. The guy that helped me? Lynn Blake. Great guy and super knowledgeable about the swing. I will say that the only training aids that I have purchased and found helpful were the Matzie Swing Perfector and the Speed Whoosh.
You should try and read the instructions. The click is supposed to happen at the same time you strike the ball. If the magnet clicks before you are releasing early casting. After striking the the ball you are late. Come on guys. SMH
Bullshit, it's advertised and demonstrated that it won't click if you cast, come over the top, or swing from the inside too much. I bought one and couldn't not make it click no matter how badly I swung.
Many bad reviews on this product even while being approved by TH-cam university. I'm sure there are some cases of improper set-up but not many. Way too many complaints about it not working properly.
Gave this device at least 5 opportunities on the range only to realize a WASTE of time. Very disappointed! However, credit to those on the advertisement video for great acting that fooled me to fall for it. You got me good! CON 1: Product too heavy, almost weight of 2 clubs, so can’t get the feel like a traditional club. CON 2: Click sound too quiet so several times don’t know if it clicks or not so difficult to tell if swinging properly. If it does click the sound usually drowned out at impact. I set the mechanism at 70 mph, my swing speed, but it didn’t matter. CON 3: When can hear the click the results inconsistent. Some shots I slice but it clicked anyways? Some shots hit flush down the middle but no click? Makes no sense. CON 4: Yes, training video offers solutions for those with hook issues and for those with slice issues. But for us golfers who do BOTH - a hooker & slicer - there is no training video therefore useless!
It is a tremendous scam by Rocco and Performance Golf--stay away from this and other money grab products that does not work. Use your money on a PGA teacher to help you improve not some cheap gimmick like this one.
Why didn’t you try it with a bad swing and see if it clicks or not?
Exactly, because it clicks no matter how you swing it...total scam.

If it can help me move my application of power to at and after the ball it works!
Ther ya go! If it works for you then it works!

Only good thing about it is the molded grip. You can make it click no matter how you swing it....(SCAM)

No offense. Not gonna watch. But having tried it the answer is yes. Scam.
