- The Tough Table Challenge is back! We welcome back John Parrott to take it on, and in his own words, he's petrified! How do you think he will do?
John also gives us a short, but effective Cue Tip which you can quickly practice on any snooker table. It will have you cueing straight in no time. We finish with some quick questions that you've all sent in. Let us know who you want to see next up on the channel!

what a fabulous break from JP

I love John and Stephen, and have watched them for decades. I didn't want to say but i suffer with some horrible mental problems, but snooker ALWAYS keeps me calm. Thanks, I mean it!
💚
You didn't want, but you did anyway. Fishing for pity/compliments?
@@Marchigianelloand your reply is fishing for what? Give it a rest you peanut
This is the best and most fun snooker show to watch.
Class is permanent!
JP in his pomp was great to watch. very fluid, and quick around the table
and deadly off the Cush 👍
The irony of cueing straight across the balk line whilst wearing an Alex Higgins T-shirt, the king of unorthodox cue action 😂
Joe Swail?
@@ThePhilGrimm Joe’s is definitely unorthodox too! But I do particularly remember the 360 degree pirouette spin Alex did during a shot against John Virgo here on TH-cam haha. Slightly against text book you could say 😂
All of that movement tended to be after he had struck the white, he did the basics quite well actually.
@@Charlie.c19 That’s very true, jimmy white always confirms that in interviews 👍 and When you have that much natural talent you can play however you want I suppose!
Always like hearing from John parrot , great and funny guy
JP from 1989 to 1992 was a monster on the table, legend
Prime Parrott was imo on Ronnies level for that 4yrs after that he went downhill but had that run where he deserved more titles
@@Luke_-_ He even managed to beat the record for the heaviest defeat in a world final, during that time!
I still remember when a skinny little Scouse kid about 11 years old came into our club in Southport one Saturday afternoon with his dad and absolutely battered our best player in a Merseyside cup competition. We gave that poor lad stick for years. He had the last laugh when the Scouser became the World Champion!
When you say Stick, were you being a dick about it? lol
Skinny 😂😂😂
@@kylowhen2639You do understand how time works???
@@davidhale8034goes backwards, doesn't it ?
Pure gentleman JP
Very underrated as a player, deserves more credit
For somebody who tends not to play much anymore, that was epic. For one attempt, that was one the best Tough Table Challenges that's been put out. Well done John 👏🏻👏🏻
lol
Ok then
Brilliant. These are the moments that make this channel great.
Fantastic from JP there 👌🏻
Two legends of the game.
Nice Alex Higgins shirt!
Avaliable from Red Molotov (T 34) two Alex Higgins designs to choose from.
JP is an absolute gentleman. He worked for my company on a corporate golf day and could not have been a more friendly and decent guy. Didn’t touch a drop of booze and left at 3am after 3 hrs kip to get home in time to take kids to school. Top, top bloke. Steve Davis…. well, let’s say it was a different experience!
If you're not going to elaborate, don't bother saying it in the first place.
Steve told me about you, Mark, and frankly the feeling is mutual.
He is a regular in a cafe near to where he lives and is always affable with everyone. He keeps to himself but is happy to talk to people that come up to him. I have not seen her for a long time but he used to have a laugh with an eccentric old lady with a trolley she used to push around.
@@neilgoodyer9606 Steve got shitfaced, got kicked out and the kids had to walk to school in the morning. 😅
I'm halfway thru and JP has me rolllin
I'd love to see Ding Junhui do the Tough Table Challenge 🙂
He will clear the table
So happy to have this channel to depend on for my snooker fix when we're not in the thick of the season just yet. Thank you Stephen.
JP was flying round that table 😅 top bloke some good wit. Good to see them both having a laugh. Miss them days from the 90s and early 2000s
Great break. Well done JP - played just like you did in 1991!
Well done jp.love the banter between you two.
Great score, Jp. Im not ruining by putting in score. It's worth the watch.
He`s still got it !! 😂
Tell you what, I did not notice until the 4th time of watching that JP was wearing Dennis Taylor style glasses! Excellent 👌🏻
Brilliant ! Great Channel Steve - keep em coming. What about digging out David Taylor some time (Silver Fox).
Love John Parrott ❤👍
Loving 2 legends! Who still have the Class!!
This is Ding’s table and it’s nippy. Nice.
How do you know that?
Literally quoting the video
@@dannymccrae3070 Then I must've missed that part I guess :D
I don't think they appreciated your joke! 😄
@@davidbrock3773 Nippon is japan.
Thankfully removed those annoying betting ads! Well played.
Cue tips Mari thin coming up. I haven’t seen any for a few months. Can’t wait. 😝 🎉
Pure talent. Ever shot was better and better.
JP's potting from tight under the cushion was unreal, ill never for get how good he was.
One of the best ever off the cushion.
@@ash6415 Absolutely, if not the best.
Nice one John, always love your banter. 👍
Fantastic video yet again. Big thanks to Steven for his brilliant channel, and big love for JP for being the absolute star that he is. :-D
JP - one of the best! And pure class.
Excellent as always!!
Loved that Tip by far
That’s a brilliant tip John Parott 👏👏🤝🤝
what a gent
What a legend JP 💙💙💙
BigJohn, loves the golf too ⛳️
Great banter as usual
Great episode! He is a magnificent guy!
JP is pure class on and off the table, as a snooker fan who didn't start watching until the late 90s I didn't realise how good John was in his prime.
Was nice to see JP succeed where some of the current top 16 have struggled.
Great wee video. What a gent John is 👍🏻
Great channel content Stephen....bravo!!
Another fun video!!
Jp! Bravo 👏🏼 👏🏼
That was ‘ Sick ‘
Thank you for your videos.
Parrott was my favorite player as a kid, and then Ronnie came along.
BTW: That cue tip was awesome.
Really fun watch!
Superb JP
Brilliant break JP
The mans still got it!
Best channel on TH-cam
It actually is, so consistently entertaining, helpful and just great vibes. As a 34 year old man I randomly became interested in snooker because of it. Stephen's a great lad.
Its NOT the best channel on TH-cam. So many better snooker channels with actual matches , and with far more subscribers than this channel👍
Excellent break.
That was awesome gents 👏
Well done john great break really was doing well there thought you was going to get a lot me
Like the tee-shirt Stephen 💯👍
JP had some cracking pots in his other video with Stephen as well 👌👌
Well done jp 👏 👍
Love the t-shirt Stephen 👌🏻
absolute legend
Great break from JP
Hi stephen john parrot is amazing nice 59 break be nice to meet him one day he needs to do a snooker exhibition in the UK
Back n the day JP was a damn good player and fully deserves that World title he won in 1991.
Well he played Jimmy in the final so losing was never on the cards .
Go on jp
Considering how long Johns been out for, I’m putting this break at the top of the leader board!
Fantastic
He still plays great
Legend. One of my favourite commentators nowadays as well ❤
👌Spot on JP
Boom!
Wish i could play like that.
Started watching snooker in 2000s. I never knew JP is that good! Now I gotta dig deep on TH-cam for his prime games.
Look for some from the early nineties - he really was good then. Davis was coming to the end of the period of his domination, while Hendry was just starting his.
The World Final vs Jimmy White is on here and worth a watch. Makes you realise how good John was.
Those monocles are fantastic
A criminally underrated player - Parrott was one of the few players in the 90s that could compete with the really big hitters of the game. I was a massive fan!
great break JP!
JP the beast of his era
Love to see his competetive side reëmerge and take over. Nice job.
Off topic but that's a fabulous use of the diaeresis. You're clearly an educated man
@@villeporttila5161 At first I thought you wrote diarrhœa! Guess I’m naïve. Really I just like the weird characters.
Splendid head of hair still, lucky guy👍
John Parrot was a great player in his day 😎
come on, JP, make a comeback. Some of those strikes were lovely, just like the old days.
Parrott makes the game look so elegant and fun at the same time.
That shot with rest! 😮💨🔥
that cool Break John Parrott
Well done good break 🎱
"As you quite often were" 😂
The thumbnail looks like two old twin grannies playing over who gets to go out with Cyril from the old people's home...
I love this one! But I'm really shocked at the leaderboard 😂
Jp still a legend 🎉
Dey do do dat don't dey
He's doing it while chatting 😂
@6:00 probably on everyone's mind about parrots cue tip. I was under impression with a large cue tip you have less deflection. On the contrary, you may not be able to play deep screwshots and cushion shots as well.
In the last video JP says he doesn't play at all, but he still got a 59. Shows you how good he is.
The way these guys make this look so easy is incredible. Its not at all. 😢
Was never a great JP fan then one day he played a very good shot and you had to play a little bit of snooker to recognise what a good shot it was. Just one person in the audience clapped, and JP turned around and said ''Thanks Mam'' had me grinning.
