It's nice that his dad accepts him being gay, but the way he speaks makes it sound like he thinks Chuck is choosing to be gay rather than having been born that way.

YAY! for Chuck's Dad! He's a first-class guy. Aside from the fact that he did make it sound like his son was choosing homosexuality, he's got the right attitude. We are all human beings, and we all have different paths in life. I watched my nephew, as a little toddler, display various types of "behaviors" that led me to believe that he was gay even at such a young age (dispelling the fact that all homosexuals "choose to be gay". Do you know a toddler that "chooses" to be gay?!). And as I watched him grow into a beautiful young man that ANY parent would be proud to have, my only thought was, "When will he tell us?" When he came out and told our whole family, we all told him how much we loved him, and that that information doesn't change a thing about our relationship with him. Did I tell you what an awesome family I have?

I often wonder how it would go down, if I had come out to my dad, but I feel like he would be every bit at accepting as the father in this video.

I'm very much excited about this program called fatherhood project. In Africa and in particular Sierra Leone, my country is faced with lots trauma , .there are lots of lapses in terms of the meaning and the responsibility one should always do or undertake as a father. In Sierra Leone West Africa, we have lots of abandoned street children as a result of poor and neglect fatherhood. There are lots of street children roaming around, often doing harmful things on themselves. The harmful drugs intake is on increase every day. I hope and pray that something positive will be done for them before the situation gets worsts

There's a 'CC' closed captioning option at the bottom right of the screen - it's not always 100% accurate but hey, subtitles.

Nice story, but I'm puzzled as to why they both spoke of his "choice" to be gay. It's not a choice to be gay, just as it's not a choice to be straight.

I love this! I also think it's important to mention that there are parents who may not support their child's homosexuality, but still love them unconditionally and want them in their lives!

If you do not love your kid the way they were born, you do not love them unconditionally.

To many people are getting upset over, whether it's a choice or not, personally I don't believe it's a choice, but sexuality is a extremely complex subject and topic, especially in terms of understanding it on a scientific and cultural level, way to much to be summed up in a, is or isn't sentence. However what is an actuality is that they are, and the point is to respect them regardless of perspective. So I mean may I have found it a bit concerning when his dad said choice, but you know what as long as he's happy and respecting his son who cares, he's lived his life
