I went to Linux around April/2024 when Ubuntu 24.04 LTS was released; in October I then upgraded to Ubuntu 24.10. Make sure if you migrate to Linux that you have a distro with the latest Linux Kernel if you have new hardware. Like for an AMD 7800xt graphic card you need Linux Kernel 6.3 and up. Linux makes me feel less brain dead when I use Win11; just never really liked how Microsoft operates and way they compute.
I jumped ship as soon as they said hey we will take screenshots of everything you do on your computer and we will store it to use against you later on. Haha nice try.

Then I guess you'd do the same for other videos who are exaggerating their title for clickbait? Or is this a bias specifically only on topic related to Linux?
False and click bait. Do not have the right to speak for 'EVERYONE'. I have been on FreeBSD for 15 years, as well as Leopard on my iMac g5 that I use regularly and maintain. Prior to this, Slackware since 1999. I don't have a problem with Linux. I have a problem with someone stating false 'information ', whatever the motive.
Uhhh, some of your points are fine, but..........., ehhh, everyone ? 1 - Have you never heard of programs like O&O-Shut-up10 that debloat your Windows, or Open Shell that reverts your Start menu back to your favorite Windows version. 2 - And yes Linux is not only for die hard nerds anymore, but come on, you still can't get very far with Linux, without some command-line knowledge. >_< 3 - Open source more save then Windows?, that's mainly because Windows is a much bigger target, Linux projects have been compromised because compromised donated code. 4 - Yeah Windows is not free, but you can get a license's key for about $/€15~20, not that expensive aider. 5 - Linux for Joe Average, it's still a pain in the ass, still too nerdy, and as long as Valve's SteamOS is not finished, with its user first, instead of solution first aproche, Linux will never grow to anything other than a niche solution for MS haters and nerd's. If you try to make a point, don't glance over the problems, and only look at your own use case, but think like, can my mom daily use it without more help? And no, I am not a hater, I use Linux and Promox daily, and I like using it, but here is still a use case for Windows, and sill use it on my main machine, that I use to remote desktop in to Linux. ^_^
Literally everything on the internet runs Linux; The banks, the social media, the stock markets, everything. Open Source (Linux) is definitively more secure, due to the transparency of the codebase (this allows for anyone and everyone to work together by testing the system for flaws rather, than there being some sloppy code left in the latest release that only Microsoft knows about). Imagine having a million people spell check your homework rather than just you.
You can tell that he is biased. The program you mentioned fixes a ton of the things about Windows that they complain about. The Linux people just love to hate without having their facts right. I tried Linux, it failed thanks to Grub. Talk about 1983 tech to dual boot.
@@str0mback I think it would be wonderful if Linux would become user-friendly enough that anyone could use it, in a way Android and iOS done that, but that's still too much closed source. I switched from Windows 11 pro to Linux Mint 22 about a month ago. Best decision I’ve made in years. It’s amazing

I'm on dualboot with Mint for now.
90% of my work related apps are Linux "proof" now, so i hope to make the full switch asap.
As someone who’s been using Unix-like systems for 20 years, I have to ask: is there a reason for why people were using Windows in the first place?
Popularity. It doesn't matter how low quality a product or service is, if it's popular people will buy / use it.

Tried Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon. It failed once I added a hard drive. Grub sucked and failed. I went back to Windows.

Keep hearing how Linux any day now is going to take over. Been hearing that since WIndows Vista. Let me know when it actually happens.
It will never happen.
openSUSE, Debian, Fedora are kings. Linux is way better than Windows now. Gaming is easy too.

Says the dude using Mac for his YT stream. That's pretty pathetic. NO ONE uses Linux. Desktop market share is below even pathetic percentages.
As an old guy i can tell you that OS/2 was worse in percentages 🤣
Around 1 in 25 people use Linux.
in 2024 Linux was used by around 7% of desktops, so that's about 1 in 14 persons using Linux.
Nobody doing that
This boring old story still goes on. Blimey.
