Getting real meat (beef) into schools would be a major improvement in not only their learning abilities, but their health as well. Children are highly likely to be iron deficient. A nice piece of meat daily at school would likely change that. Great conversation today, as always, Dan.
I recently found a butcher about a 20-minute drive from my house. They source all their meat from local farmers, they carry eggs from local farms as well, they sell tallow, locally made cheeses, etc. I bought a stand-up freezer and I keep it stocked with meat from them. I've found that it costs a little more than grocery store meat, but I know the animals were raised and harvested humanely, the flavor is way better, and I feel better putting my money into the hands of a local, family-owned business, than into the pockets of some soulless corporation.

Well I mean the mustache alone just screams Pennsylvania.
