I love this authentic recipe. I can’t wait to try it. For those who don’t want to have to fry their ice cream you can always create a very close (and faster)version by dipping your ice cream in melted chocolate with a little coconut oil added to thin out the chocolate. Dip your cold ice cream in the melted chocolate and then in your corn flakes. Then you can return the ice cream to the freezer to serve at a later date if needed. With the chocolate version you can roll your ice cream something other than corn flakes. I’ve used more shaved chocolate, cookie crumbs(Oreos, YUM 😋), nuts, jimmies(sprinkles) and other kinds of crushed cereal. I have also added surprises to the center of the ice cream like a Ferrera Roché, a strawberry, and a chocolate covered cherry candy. The though of making any of these deserts has my mouth watering right now. Once again I want to thank Villa Cocina for the wonderful recipe and if she would like to make a video of any of the ideas I just suggested that would be wonderful to watch. Take care all, Dee 😁👍
Everything looks great can’t wait to try it! I would suggest though not over garnishing your dessert. It would be good with fruits and whipped cream or whipped cream and sprinkles with the syrup and cherry on top but to do both is too much in my opinion.
Wow!!! I'm Craving for fried ICE CREAM !!! I just made your Carney asada recipe for my FAMILY ..THEY ALL like the way it came out...it was very flavorful. NEXT week, I will follow this recipe and give it a try for my FAMILY....We can't WAIT!!!
Nice video. I like the ice cream but I’ve had bad experience with corn flakes. Hand washing a bowl with a dried corn flake about took off one of my nails.
I haven't tried smaller ones. If you decide to experiment just make sure they are really frozen and they will probably take less time to fry. Let me know how it goes.
Just curious is it necessary to use eggs? Because I thought you freeze the ice cream firm, then fry. After that roll the corn flakes on your ice cream.
I think the egg wash helps adhere the cornflakes to the ice cream ball. They also create a barrier between the ice cream and the oil. I’m pretty sure the ice cream would just melt if it was tossed in hot oil without the cornflakes , plus I’m thinking frying just the ice cream could be like throwing ice in the deep fryer which is very dangerous & can cause explosions & a fire…
I Remember Having This At Chi-Chi's Every Time I Would Go, It's Soooo Good!!!
Me too!!!!!
I Love the way your Expression,,,when you had your first scoop of Ice Cream,,,,Superb.
I like adding a little brown sugar to the cornflakes to give it almost a caramel like flavor.

I cannot comprehend how this dessert is not known and consumed across the US. Could be a good idea, in a heavily populated area, for a food truck.

i was deeply saddened when she failed to put cinnamon in the egg mixture, i can't imagine eating without cinnamon.
What are your favorite toppings ?
honey!
Heated nutella, carmelized almonds, and lemon curd are my favorites 😁
You should try with that cereal golden grams must be something else
Delicious and yummy, please stay connected. Thank you
What oil u used madam?
A no added sugar raspberry with home crushed garlic smoothy as my sauce. The ice cream is sweet enough.
Looks great thank you. Would smaller balls work
